My OB prescribed Glucoflage today. I have been TTC for the last year without success. I have also taken Clomid my last two cycles (50 mg then 100 mg) but did not note a temp spike that would suggest that I ovulated either month. I am currently taking Progesterone to start my cycle (my last one begin the end of October) and will start Glucoflage tomorrow. I would like to know if anyone out there has had any success after taking Glucoflage. My OB is still encouraging so that is a plus. I am cautiously hopeful but would love to hear your stories. Thanks!

Hi Wanna be a mom again, YES, I am 38 and got pregnant last December, m/c in March. Had trouble getting pg again. Dr. started me on glucophage (metformin the generic of it) and I got pg the first month. He did an ultrasound to look at eggs that first month, I had like 5! I had been on clomid for 3 months and it did nothing for me, he found one egg each month.... I am 11 weeks and 1 day now and am debating about stopping the glucophage after 1st trimester. Dr says to stop it, doesn't matter cause placenta takes over. I'm nervous to stop it and risk m/c. Good luck!! I had super luck with glucophage!!

Thanks do much for responding JRJD! I am happy to know that Glucophage worked for you. I had never heard of it before my OB prescribed it this week. Can you tell me why you need to continue with it thru your first trimester?
I sure hope that I have the same luck with it as you did. Congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy!

hi,
i was on glucophage for a couple of years because i had pcos and no periods. it brought my periods back but my cycles varied from 5-10 weeks. i eventually stopped taking it and started taking chromium supplm. my cycle became super regular at 6 weeks. i got pregnant in oct after only one month of trying. i am now 12wks preg. don't know if this relates to your case, but just in case, thought i would tell my story. goodluck :-))
