Help With Early HCG Numbers

I need some advice. Had HCG drawn at 16 days post ovulation it was 830. 48 hours later it was 1795...Do these seem high for initial numbers? Twins? I did one round of clomid. I do know the exact day I ovulated, so my dates are right...

The numbers sound viable..they are definitely doubling..could be twins!! If your doctor is not concerned then you should not be either. Request an ultrasound..this should eleviate some of your worries..I think you will be just fine!

Thank you, Kristin. Lost my last two babies, one at 15 weeks, so I am trying to relax. My doc will scan me next week when I hit the 6 week mark, but says earlier than that is not that useful. Thank you for your input...

RDuff, I am sorry to hear of your losses..and no problem..i too lost my baby girl at 13 weeks 6 days on Dec 22/05..I got pregnant again after 2 cycles. my last period was feb 14th. I had just the opposite my levels started out quite low..142 at 16 dpo. But at last count they were 16,000. Had an ultrasound saw the heart beating..the fetus seemed very small..but my doc was not concerned at all..I leave on a plane tomorrow for Florida. Nervous is not the word for how I am feeling with this pregnancy.
