Hi Karen, CD11 means 11 days since my first day of blleeding. So the first day of your period is cd1. My cycle is usually 28-30 days long and I see a positive surge using an ovulation predictor pee stick on cd18-20 usually. So, I ovulate late and have a short luteal phase( the days between ovulation and your operiod) 10 days is a minimum for conception. I deally 14 is best. I have always o'd on cd18 though and had 3 babies. So, lets hope like crazy this is the month, I'm glad to hear you are having a good day, its hard when you feel horrible. I'm not sure about feeling your uterus. I never really have noticed that. Hopefully someone else will have an answer for you, take care ttyll

hi all... I've been reading but just have had no time to post. Been really busy this week, mostly doing triage for a charity event I'm helping with. TRACY, I'm glad you heard a good hb... Not much news here. Heard the hb again yesterday which was great. And still fighting the m/s, which is not so great. Hope everyone has a good weekend... xoxo

Hopeful and excited - November 4

Hello all! Sorry for not posting yesterday - my cold has now moved to my head which means I'm all stuffy and can't think straight! I don't feel "ill" as such - just exhausted with all the coughing and sneezing. All I want to do is sleep! KD - so sorry AF turned up on your doorstep again. Keep your chin up! I'm so glad you're going to see a doctor as it will at least give you an opportunity to ask some questions and put your mind at rest about any issues you may have. Let us know how it goes and what they recommend. I'm thinking of you. Sann - re. all your tests. Don't worry. I'm sure they're all standard procedures. I too am not seeing my doctor again until the end of November - a long wait I know - which will be tough on both body and mind so we can wait together. I then have a detailed ultrasound at the clinic where I had my NT done in the second week of December to check the baby's growth, organs and general physical health (I think this is offered because of me not opting for amnio so it's a bit of a trade off). I know how you feel about your brain going soggy and forgetting your appointments - I've never relied on the calendar in my mobile phone so much in my life before!! LOL!!! Do you still have many symptoms? Are you showing yet? Have you felt any quickening yet? I'm going through a period where I hardly feel pregnant at all except that my clothes don't fit properly and the round ligament pain is still in evidence if I'm doing too much or sitting/lying awkwardly. How about you? lovemy3 - good luck with your bd-ing - if you haven't done already, try the raised hips afterwards!! Karen - so glad all is well with you. Hope you're still able to rest up though. Re. your uterus - I started to feel a hard lump just above my pubic area at about 12 weeks. Not sure if that's what it was but it's still there!! Val - glad you're generally feeling OK but it sounds like you're really busy so make sure that you're getting plenty of rest in between activities! How's everyone else today?

Hi Hoeful...sorry to hear about your cold. I too have had a horrible headache and am thinking its coming from my sinus-yuck. In Canada, everyone at 20 weeks gets a very in depth scan. (level 2) It takes well over an hour and they do everything. That is the scan they check all the chambers and vesticles of the heart, they in depth look at all the organs, brain. And take a million measurements. It takes forever. Most often that is when people are told the gender if they want to know. If you don't want to know, tell them before they start just in case they blurt it out. It is my favourite u/s. I was lucky because I had a quick scan each tuesday as I had other issues, but most women wait patiently for this big one. So enjoy, often people don't get another one. As for me, I planned to bd this a.m, but my 3 little ones had scary drams last night, so I spent most of my night going from room to room, then this a.m dh left to go in and check on a job so it'll have to be tonight. I am feeling twinging but the opk isn't showing anything yet and I have no cm at all, so it will likely be around my normal 18-20 cd. Thats it here. very cold brrrr. Have a wonderful day all.

Good morning everyone! I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, a very busy day at work. I was confronted by a couple of co-workers who make a bet that I was pg. So they came out and asked and of course, I can't lie, so now some people at work know and for some reason it seemed to put a damper on my evening. Not sure why--I guess it was just having that security of only family and close friends knowing. Now I have to be accountable to everyone around me. Probably not a bad thing though :) Sounds like everyone's doing well, but just playing the 'waiting game'. Waiting to see the doc, waiting for 'signs', waiting for the next cycle, seems we do a lot of waiting! But it's worth it in the end, right? I have a house full of things that need to be done and no energy to do it, blah! It's cold here too, so sitting snuggled up on the couch watching movies all day sounds very appealing...but unfortunately not in the cards for me today (:. More later and happy Saturday everyone! Belly rubs and baby dust to all...

Good afternoon everyone. Hope everyone is feeling okay today. My internet was down again yesterday. Darn Telus with their ADSL! Yesterday I actually started a bit of Christmas shopping. I say every year I will be early so this will be the year. I ate all day long yesterday. One of those hungry days. Hopeful, I too have decided against Amnio and will now have to decide which tests I will undergo. Has anyone had, or planning to have, a 3D ultrasound? I was reading our local paper today (Langley, BC) and came across an article on a woman who runs a clinic here in Walnut Grove that does 3D ultrasound, for a price of course. The basic package is $175 and includes 2 pics, 30 min of baby viewing, a CD, and gender determination. They won't see anyone until the 20th week. I am going to make an appointment for late December, early January. I am so excited!! The images are so clear. They have a website called UC Baby and have branches across Canada. Money well spent I say! Imagine your little boy or girl showing his friends what he looked like at 5 months inside his mom's tummy! How cool is that. It is raining buckets here and we don't have kids this weekend so think we will go see a matinee this afternoon - with lots of popcorn of course!! Have a great Saturday everyone!
