Painful Raised Red Lump On Leg

I have a red lump on my leg, approximately 7cm by 7 cm in size. It is painful to the touch and has slowly grown in size over the past 6 weeks. I have seen a dermatologist and the general feeling is that is it something caused by an increase in hormones, but it cannot be diagnosed 100% without a deep tissue biopsy which the doctor is hesitant to do while I am pregnant. I am 22 weeks along and am wondering if anyone has ever experienced anything like this.

Why is your Derm hest_t? I had a growth on my tummy and my Dr. did a biopsy. I was fine. I was about 7-8 months at that time. I had so many skin issues while being pregnant, and I still do after. Hormones are a crazy thing. Now my hair is falling out too. Get a 2nd opinion if needed. A red lump doesn't sound good, especially if it is painful.
