I had a positive pregnancy test in early November. Shortly afterwards,I started bleeding. As I have no insurance, and had miscarried many times before, I assumed it was a miscarriage ( I could only have been no more than 3-4 weeks pregnant). I bled for over 4 weeks, maybe 5. I habe not had a period since, and have always been like clockwork. I just took a pregnancy test today, and it is positive. I could not have gotten pregnant again as my husband & I only had inercourse a few times since I quit bleeding, and used contraceptives. Is it possible to still be pregnant, after bleeding so long? As my husband has started a new job, the insurance has not kicked in yet. I am 37,

Hi, I am sorry for your loss. As for your question about your positive test, usually it takes time for the HGC hormone to go back to zero after a miscarriage, so it might be that, but if you had your m/c in November, it should be over now, or this was my experience, I had m/c in October, and my hormones went back to normal after only 4 weeks. I would suggest that you go for blood test to confirm what is going on, or if you are charting your temps, your temp should be higher than normal. Hope you get the news you are looking for, my fingers crossed for you. Good luck

Thank you. Well, I went to the Dr but all they did was another pregnancy test, and referred me to a high-risk specialist. My appointment is Feb 21, seems like a LONG time away! I have been feeling movement, for sure, so I know I am pregnant. Just frustrating that the Dr. didn't do a blood test, pelvic exam, or even listen for a heartbeat! I guess that's what happens when you don't have insurance.
