I am 35 yrs old - 8 weeks pregnant with my 3rd. In the bath last night - I felt a cyst the size of a cherry on my va___a - it is not painful. My Dr said nothing to worry about - but I am worried. Anyone know anything about this?

If it is near the center (vertically) of the labia (v____al lips), it may be a Bartholin's gland cyst (which would be nothing to be alarmed about) - if it hurts too much or or gets large quickly, have your Dr check it again.

Is the cyst inside or outside? I had a cyst outside of that area and they cut it and drained it.

It sounds like a Bartholin cyst. I had it once and it can be a real pain, but it is nothing to be worried about.

it is sort of on the outside my Doc said it sounds like a Bartholin's gland cyst - as it is not painful he said to leave it but if it becomes painful they will treat it now otherwise after the pregnancey - did you have it during pregnancey

I've never had it during pregnancy, but the strangest thing happened the morning of my surgery...it dissapeared. I went along with the surgery and could have probably skipped it. I wish I did because I had some complications...did not stop bleeding and had to go back into surgery to stop the bleeding. In between surgeries the doc stuffed a bandage in the open hole and it was like she poured salt on the wound. I have never been in so much pain!!!! It can be painful, but it may go away on it's own in time. If I had it again, I would not be quick for surgery again.
