Hi ladies, I did it!!!! We have a bouncing baby boy, Liam Joseph :-)))) He was born Monday morning, 8lb 3oz, 21inches. I went into labor at 8pm sunday night and went to the hospital at 3am, and he was born at 8am. All went well, yay for epidurals. He's a beaut bub, eats, sleeps and poos and that's it at this stage. His big brother is besotted with him, as are we, and his big sister is a little nonplussed I think at this stage. Miraclebaby, where are you? Tell us the good news. Good luck Happy Me, I'll be thinking of you around the 19th.

Kathy...Congratulations!! Sounds like you did most of your labor at home...glad to hear all went well. Liam is pretty long. My little Maddie was weighed and measured yesterday. She's almost 7 weeks, weighs 9lbs. 8 1/2 ozs, and is 20.75 in long. I look at her and am glad she was smaller when she was born. I probably would have been wanting an epidural too if she was the size of Liam! lol Looking forward to hearing from Miraclebaby & Happy Me soon.

I am still waiting... and waiting... I am so glad to hear that everyone has had such wonderful birth experiences... it calms me down. We now will need to form a support group for parents over 35 -- instead of just pregnant and over 35! Hopefully we can all keep in contact and compare our little ones growth! Take care everyone -- and give your little ones a hug and a kiss!

Happy Me...are you still waiting? I hope all is going well.

How is everyone going? Liam is three weeks old tomorrow and it's all a bit of a sleep deprived haze. My dh has one more week off work, and we have spent the last ten days visiting our families to show off our baby (and the older two too!) We live away from family, so it was nice to catch up, but it's nice to be home too and to get into some sort of routine. Happyme and Miraclebaby - what's happening with you both? Toni - good work, Maddie sounds like she's growing well. Seven weeks already, remember when we were waiting for these babies and seven weeks dragged on and on.....

It is great to hear that everyone is doing so well... I am going to be induced on Thursday morning ...can you believe that? Finally! I will write a note after she is born to let you all know how we are... Take care!

Happy Me...Good luck tomorrow - we'll be waiting to find out how it goes. Kathy, it's hard to believe that Liam is already 3 weeks old! You're right time flies...Maddie is 9 weeks old this week! We've found out she's a little flirty - she gives everyone she meets a big smile. It seems more people in town remember her name now and just refer to us as "Maddie's parents". She's also been working on her sounds and keeps wanting to try to stand up!! I think her Daddy & me are going to be in trouble when she gets mobile.

Good luck Happy me - I'll be thinking of you and waiting for the update. Bet you can't wait to meet your little girl. Toni, is Maddie a good feeder and sleeper? How does she go at night now? Liam wakes every three to four hours at night and is sometimes hard to get back to sleep. Other times he is the perfect bub.

Hi ladies sorry it took so long, to make a real long long long story short, I had the baby and she is great........However, I had an emergency c-section and came home and was not feeling well. Called doc. and went back to the emergency room. I was infected they did surgery opened my back up removed infection and come to find out I contracted E-coli while the c-section was originally being performed. I was in the hospital a total of 15 days and my whole family flew in and took turns with the baby. I am still with an open wound now, and am on whats called an vacc_m. Ladies congrats to you !!! and thanks for being with me through this pregnancy. XO XOXO I am ok though it was hard and scarey , but I am here and alive...

Toni1 - July 27

Miraclebaby: Thank goodness you and baby are doing OK...what a scary ordeal! Why did you end up having to have an emergency c-section? I hope you continue to do well. I'm glad to hear your family was there to help with the baby..Keep us up-to-date on how you are doing if you feel up to it. Kathy: Maddie usually eats every three hours like clockwork...although, recently, she has been eating about every two during the day then going 4-5 hours between feedings at night. For a newborn, she likes to stay awake ALOT, which can sometimes wear me out since she likes to walk when she's awake or be carried around to participate in whatever I'm trying to get done during the day! Do you put Liam in a separate room or does he sleep in the same room with you and hubby? We've got a nursery with a bed for me to sleep in at night until Maddie can sleep through the night. We had her in a ba__sinet in our room, but she decided after the first month that it was too small for her and wanted us to hold her in our bed at night..

Miraclebaby, thank goodness you're okay - what a rough thing to have to go through. But what an outcome at the end of it, a healthy baby girl, congratulations!!! What are the details when you get time, name, weight, etc. And how are you now? Toni, Liam is in our room in a ba__sinet. It's the middle of winter here and I don't fancy having to get up in the middle of the night so I just pull him in with me and feed him, then change him on the bed and back to his ba__sinet. He seems to have unsettled times when I don't know what's bothering him, then other times he sleeps really well. There's no real pattern yet - hopefully soon we will establish one.

Congratulations Happy Me on the safe arrival of Sonya. She was a good size - well done. I had an episiotomy with Liam, and with Grace too, so I know what you mean - ouch. We've all got our babies now, wow!!!!!! :-))) And you ladies all got little girls, you lucky things. Don't worry, I am besotted with Liam, but you can't dress a little boy up quite like you can a little girl. I can't help but think back to the beginning of this thread, and all our hopes and fears early in our pregnancies. If only we'd known then how happy the outcome would be, we could have relaxed a bit more.

Happy Me - August 4

Has anyone put more than two hours of sleep together yet? Sonya is b___stfeeding and I am trying my best to learn how to do it as we both get used to it. Anyone else trying to nurse? Take care ladies!

Toni1 - August 4

Hi ladies! I'm glad to see all went well with you Happy Me...I too am nursing. Maddie is hitting another growth spurt so she is wanting to nurse about every two hours...sometimes I doze off while she's eating because I'm so tired! She had her two month visit on Tues...I was in tears while she was getting her shots. She was holding on to my fingers - it was so heartbreaking to watch. The rest of her appointment went well though. She is up to 10 lbs, 10 oz and is 22 inches long! The doctor said she is doing well and will probably start rolling over soon- I can't wait until she is mobile! I'm looking forward to hearing how everyone else is doing.

Happy Me - August 9

Wow! I finally got three and a half hours of sleep in a stretch! Sonya slept last night... My 13 month old is loving her little sister -- and always wants to give her kisses and hugs. Now if I could only get her to be GENTLE! Nursing is getting easier every day. (As long as I keep using the Lanisoh products to protect from cracking and soreness). Take care ladies. I will keep checking back for updates from all of you.

kathy - August 11

I'm getting some sleep too, thank goodness. Liam feeds at 10pm, 3am and 6-30am. I just hope it continues, it means I'm only waking once per night. He's also gaining lots of weight, at 5 weeks he was 12lb and 22 inches, so quite a big boy. Good luck everyone.
