Hopeful and excited - December 3

Any news anyone? Nothing from me except to say I was woken from my afternoon nap with a jolt - neither me nor my husband can work out whether I was nudged by his elbow or bean's - let's hope it was the latter and there's more to come. Hope everyone's fine! TTYL

Val - glad to hear your taking your rest. If you can - reschedule those other two lessons. It'll be worthwhile I'm sure. Sann - glad to hear you sounding so well. Good idea to get your thyroid checked because we need the thyroid to be producing more hormones during pregnancy so if you're borderline hypo you may need a supplement until baby's born. That's all from me - looking forward to reading some Monday updates!!

Hey everyone!! Hopeful...maybe that was your little bean giving you the nudge....memories!! So sweet!! Nothing going on with me, feeling busy with getting ready for vaction...17 days left, Chrsitmas shopping and tons going on at church. CD9 and I had a crampy cysty feeling back on cd7 and am praying I'm not becoming cysty or whatever. Feeling kinda here nor there and am functioning more like I'm done having babies and this is it type of att_tude. We will keep trying like I said till May but have become more that if it doesn't happen thats fine. Not planning on opks etc this month but will bd accordingly-lol. Cleaned out our bas____nt yesterday and saw the 20 containers of boys and girls clothes. Openned them briefly and thought about the possibility of giving them away when its time and was ok with that. can't believe the size of the newborn sleepers. My 3 yr old sat beside me full of anticipation about the baby clothes, wondering why we were looking at them. He is so sweet, 3 yrs old is so much fun, everything with a lisp and funny pronounciation. Pullups not diapers and sippy cups. So sweet. My 2 daughters are also a lot of fun, my kindergartener coming into her own of being at school a couple of days a week, while then my oldest starting to wearr lip gloss-yikes!! Enjoy the different seasons of your children ladies. Every part from these early days of pregnancy right through elementary school. It is just so awesome each stage, from first steps to first report cards and all the hugs and kisses along the way. Savour your moments and try not to pa__s them in worry, although I know its hard. So big hugs all, hope you are feeling well and enjoyiong the Christmas Season that you are pregnant. You'll look back years from now and say "remember the Chrsitmas we were pregnant....so on" Hugs and ttl XOXO

Hey ladies! Sorry I've been MIA, just needed time to get over my anxiety. I still get it some, but it's getting better little by little. I had an U/S a week ago for the triple screen thing and the baby was doing fine. My Level 2 is a week from today. If all goes well with that then I'm sure I will feel even better. I'm just now starting to have more energy too, but I still have like one or two days a week that I just don't want to budge from the couch! Val, good luck tomorrow with your amnio.

lovemy3 - December 4

Hi there, Hope you are all well. Val...how are you doing? Hopeful..hope things are well. Tracy...glad to see you, how ar ethe headaches? Nothing to report here. cd10 and thinking we'll start the bding cd12, pretty early being a late ovulator but who knows. One month i o'd cd14. Feeling nervous and not so sure now, all the ratios of Downs are scaring me and looking at my 3 being afraid now. Do you think this is normal to worry? Anyhow, thats all here. KD, how are you?

Hopeful and excited - December 4

Hello all! Only time for a quick hello because I'm going to visit my Dad on Thursday for 5 days (so I'll be MIA so don't worry about me!!) so lots to do to get ready! lovemy3 - hope you're right about the movement thing. Haven't felt anything as strong since so beginning to think it was my husband's elbow after all!! Oh well - still feel "weird" stuff every now and then so I'm sure all is well. You sound GREAT by the way - so positive and proud of your children. Fantastic to hear that! Tracy - wonderful to hear from you again and I'm glad the anxiety is lessening. Sounds like you've got some good results to rely on which is always rea__suring and you'll be having your Level2 before me you lucky so-and-so!!! Tell me all about it when you get back! Val - thinking of you LOADS tomorrow. It'll be so nice for you to watch your little baby on the screen I'm sure that'll take your mind off the procedure. Big Hugs!!! TTYL but don't worry if I'm not back in touch for a while - busy busy busy!!!

Oh lovemy3 - must have crossed paths while you were typing. Goodness what a rollercoaster you're on! Yes - I think it's normal to worry but don't let it take over!! Remember - you're only 37!! OK - so the statistics say that all of us over 36-ers should be aware of the risks but don't forget that these figures are badly balanced and that now that more women are having children later the true numbers show that we are not really at that much more risk than a youngster! First things first - if you're still wanting #4 then cincentrate on your bd-ing and do your worrying when it comes to testing time!!

SANN - December 5

Hi ladies : ) Hopeful --- Glad to hear you're doing really well. Lovemy3 --- Cd10 already and sounding positive ... Great. Re : The DS ratio, I'm with Hopeful cos you don't need to the added stress. Well, I've been feeling "stronger movements" from my baby girl lately and I think she responding to our voices/sounds too, I hope it's not wishing thinking : ) That's all for now ...got to get some work done first then it's off to shopping for presents (which I've not done any yet) Belly rubs and baby dust to everyone : )

LM3, the headaches are tolerable but it's so strange how they come and go. I woke up with pain in my head and it just went away on its own, but then some days I have to take stuff. Val, thinking of you. Please post when you get home from your amnio.

Val - December 5

Thanks for all your good wishes. We're leaving in about 10 minutes for the amnio. Depending on how I'm feeling, I'll either post tonight or tomorrow. I'm a lot more calm now than a couple of days ago. My hypnotherapist managed to squeeze in a session for me yesterday and I think it helped a great deal, along with knowing that our parents think we are making the right decision. LM3, I know the stats are scary, but I've read that 75-80% of DS children are born to parents until 35 or 30 (can't remember which) - probably because more children are born to parents at that age and because they don't screen as much. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing the baby on u/s today, although I'm not planning on watching the procedure...my dh can do that! ttyl...

Val - December 5

Meant to say "under" 30 or 35. That's what happens when I type in a hurry! :-) V

lovemy3 - December 5

hi all, Val, thinking of you at this moment, hoping all is going well. Nothing new here, cd11.

KLM - December 5

HI all, Started charting my temps and they are going up so far that would mean at least that I would be ovulating so I will keep track and see how it goes in the next few days so I will keep my fingers crossed!!

lovemy3 - December 5

Hi KLM, Do you think you might have concieved already with the increase in temps? that would be awesome!!! when is your next af due? I'm startijng to get cramping and cm early this month, only cd11, 10 days early for me. this month I have thrown all gimmicks away and am just riding it out. Val...hope you are feeling well and ok tonight, thinking of you! I hope everyone else is well too XOXO KD, how are you?

SANN - December 5

Hi ladies ... Val --- How are things with you after amnio? Hope you're resting well : ) Give us an update once you're ready. KLM --- Your climbing temps sounds promising, hope they stay up. Lovemy3 --- 10 days early for this cycle, you'll never know there might be a surprise coming your way ... crossing my fingers for you and happy bdinggggg : )

Hopeful and excited - December 6

Quick hello! (Lots to do before going away tomorrow!) Tracy - great to see you posting more often. We miss you when you're not here! Hope the headaches and anxiety are easing off. Perhaps the two are related and once you're rid of one the other will also disappear. Hope so. lovemy3 - glad to hear you sounding more positive again and back to your old self. Have fun with your b-ding! You too KLM - sounds like you might be onto a winner. Keeping my fingers crossed for all TTC-ers as always. Val - I hope everything is fine with you and your bean and that you're resting well and ENJOYING IT!! I can't wait to hear your update and remember, by the time you hear from me again, you'll already be half-way through the wait for the results. It'll fly by and everything will be great - don't worry. Me? Yesterday went Christmas shopping and got most of my stuff. Hubbie and I decided that we'd buy each other a present "for bean" but when it came to it I just couldn't get anything. Anyone else having this problem? I just feel like it's too early and I have no idea where to start? Is this normal? On the bright side - I'm pretty sure the weird sensations I'm having at night are becoming more frequent so I think it won't be long before I'll be convinced that it's bean saying "Hello!" Maybe s/he'll give me some idea then of what s/he'd like for Christmas!!! LOL!! Hope so! Anyway - must go. Speak to you all next week sometime (maybe as late as Thursday in which case I'll have had my Level 2 and so will have some REAL news to update you with!! LOL!) Take care all and big hugs, belly rubs and baby dust to all!!!!!!!!!!
