Good morning girls. I am making a list of questions and thoughts to discuss with my dr. Do any of you over 35 ever get this...I have v____al dryness except for when I'm ovulating, lkike I mean really dry. Also, less heavier, fuller b___sts, feel way more empty thru out the month. I am noticing thinning/hair loss near the crown area. Although all you know me can't tell, I see the amount in the shower. My moles have changed texture and also did that during pregnancy. I also notice change in memory. Soemtimes it will take me 3 or 4 minutes to rmember a phone number I know off by heart, itchyness of the outer lips of the v____al area, not yeast, skin irritation, dry, flaky, achy joints occasionally, more tired, but I have gained 60 lbs over the past 2 years as well. The biggest thing in the past year is light scant periods. This one lasted from Wed night to fri night- 48 hours and only required 2 pads. Does anyone have any of this ? I am so afraid and petrified to go because I think in my heart I know I'm menopausal. What do you all think, I'm so sad.

Oh ya, and while my friends say they can't even notice, my fingernails have deloped long vertical ridges and are more brittle. Looking down you wouldn't really see them, but they are different then they used to be. I feel like I'm losing my marbles...maybe I am-LOLOL.

LM3......make sure you have all this written on a piece of paper and ask the doc about these symptoms. Some of them sound like PCOS, and others, just the natural aging process. For the ridges in your nails, you need vitamins and oils, like olive oil and omega 3's. I lose tons of hair in the shower everyday as well, but I never brush my hair throughout the day, so there's the 100 we are supposed to lose in a single day going down the drain at once! I would make sure to talk with the doc about all your concerns. You never know what he may say. I finally have my appointment with the doc about my back tomorrow. I worked yesterday and by the third hour I was in tons of pain, so whether I am sitting or standing, it doesn't matter, the pain comes regardless. laying down did not help either. I felt my little one kicking me this morning while I was sleeping. What i thought was hilarious was that my cat Harley (I call him fluffy) walked right across me twice while I was sleeping, as if I were a pathway or sidewalk. I was on my back and he just walked right up my body and over my face to get someplace else. He is so cute though because for a few months now, he has been afraid to lay on my chest like he used to. I have to pick him up and place him there in order for him to lay on me. I think that's why it's so strange that he decided he would walk all over me. Anyway, I hope you all are enjoying your weekend and I will TTYL. Louisa, stay safe and in bed!

hey all .........sorry i have been MIA but i have had a rough week.....my 16 y/o is in the high school marching band and he was picked to go to all county band this year so he had practice everyday for that..... then my baby girl has been sick just a cold but it was enough that made her feel bad and whinning all the time wanting me to hold her and not clean house or get to check in all week .....then my dad that is 82 yrs old (yes i was a late in life baby) had tests run at the local hospital so that was an all day thing then i had to work one day this week for another girl to be off to get ready for her wedding this weekend......so i have been busy as hell......and today at work i feel awful i have a headache and i have taken tylenol but it was like eating a piece of candy and i feel real dizzy that has happened twice today......and i am over 21 weeks and i am not feeling much movement not like i remember with my DD .....someone did say boys dont move as soon and as much as boys do....and i cant remember with my son that was too long ago and sometimes i just sit and wait for him to move and he dont then if i do feel movement it is so faint i'm not sure if it me wishing to hard or if he moved for real .....i wished i had wrote down when DD moved for the first time but i didnt.....i an overweight so i heard that makes it take longer ...........i know i am overreacting and he is OK........Tracy88 i am with you on the shower thing when i was preggo with DD i was told my my hubbys aunt and mother that they were going to throw me a shower and 3 of my very good friends also said the same thing so i talked to them all and WE ALL decided that the one his mom and aunt threw would be the "family shower" for all of our family aunts and grandmas and such but the one my friends threw would be for my coworkers and friends so each shower would contain people of same interest and age type thing or family .....well my 3 friends came through and i had a big shower it was real fun and nice ....but his lying a__s mother (for the "old" ones on this forum you know my history there and for the new ones she and i dont get along at all and its a long story you would just have to go back and read .....just dont think i am being mean but she has done alot of hurtful things to hubby and me) and aunt NEVER came through with a shower for me so my side of the family was like what happened? and i explained it but then they ask why didn't they get invited to the other one and it just goes on and on and i feel put in the middle......now with this one i have been told rather rudely that expecting a shower is to much since my DD is only 14 1/2 mos old ......dont get me wrong we still have everything from my DD even down to clothes BUT this is a boy so all of the big stuff bed, car seat, changing table , walker, swing, bouncy seat, bath tub and such can be used for him but we have no boy clothes (well we have bought about 3 outfits since our sono jan 3) but with DD we were given diapers wipes and baby baths and lotions and such also and i thought maybe someone would have us a shower to help out with boy clothes and diapers and such but i dont think i will..............TCC#3...welcome glad to have you on here........Loved...sorry to hear about the babys kidneys......have they said why this happened or what they may have to do for it? and i am so sorry to hear about your buggy mishap with you LO glad he was OK to everyone that i missed hope everything is going OK for you and the TCC's loads of baby dust headed your way and belly rubs to the rest bye

Well, here we go for a second try! TTC #335 I have one child from a previous marriage and one son with my DH with another boy on the way. He also has one boy from a previous marriage. I'm 37 years old, due around the beginning of April however I went into labour at 25 weeks and the doctor gave me a 75 % chance of delivering early. Every time I read the ladies threads regarding TTC I find how amazing you ladies are. When the doctor told me that my chances of having another child after my first was born were not very likely my heart just broke. 14 years later here I am proving him wrong with not just one pregnancy but another one four months after my son’s birth. At the time I was nursing and having no cycles (just had bleeding after my son was born) much to my surprise another baby on the way. It just goes to show that anything can happen, I truly feel blessed! Hopeful and excited, a baby moon is a great plan before the baby is born, time together is so precious. Hope you have an amazing vacation. It is strange about your legs hurting when you sleep. However have you hit the stage where you get the leg cramps? They can be so strong that they wake you up at night. Several times it takes a few minutes before I can even put my feet flat foot on the floor. IF you don’t mind me asking what made you choose a midwife? A couple of friends sing there praises, they tell me the attention you get is so much more personal than having a doctor. It’s as exciting as the days and weeks get closer to the birth of your angel. So glad your appointment went well! Lovemy3 you must have so many questions that you can’t wait to ask. I really sense your frustration. I only wish I had some words of wisdom I could offer. punkin01 Sorry you had such a crazy week, hope all is well with your Dad and daughter. Sorry you are having troubles with your MIL again, try not to let it get to you too much. Take some time for yourself and relax. My babies kidneys appear to be functioning well there is however fluid that has backed up and increased since my last ultrasound. The left is measuring 12.0mm and the right is 8mm. According to the specialist this could me that there is a blockage in the ventricles. He gave us several scenarios on what could be causing the blockage and booked another ultrasound for me at 34 weeks.. if I make it that far. If not the baby will have an ultrasound done when he is two weeks old and he will be put on medication right after birth to protect him from infection. The danger will not be there until after he is born since my body is filtering for him. The doctor let me know that he is not in any discomfort which was a great comfort to me since I have experienced a kidney infection which is not nice at all!

Hello all !! Sorry I have been MIA just been really busy . Welcome to TTC#3 ! Hope you have as much fun as us ladies on this thread ! LM3 sorry to hear about AF ... YouR BFP will be here soon . The man above is just waiting for the right egg and right sperm to make that perfect unique little baby .. You ladies sound like you have all been having a really rough time . Lovedblessings thinking of you and your little one across the miles . Even though I know all will be well it must still be a great worry getting news like that . Tracy88 I still get a feeling that they are going to surprise you with a baby shower ! Don't give up hope they might just come through for you yet !! Well I am now 29 weeks WOOHOO !! My little girl is very active and definately makes her pregnancy known . My pregnancy itself is going really well . I don't feel pregnant at all . I sleep very well , actually a bit too well ... on the 2nd of Feb I am going for my 4d scan and can't wait !! My friend went for one and she got a lovely pic only problem was that you couldn't see baby's chin properly so she spent the remainder of her pregnancy worrying that her baby doesn't have a chin !! So fingers crossed that I will see a good picture of my princess !! Over here your baby shower is kept as a secret . So you never know who is going to arrange it when it is going to be etc. So Tracy88 I don't even know if I will be having one either !! Hopeful I also looked at having a water birth and it sounds absolutely fantastic ! But I changed my mind very quickly when I heard that you could not have an epidural !! Sorry girls I have been in labour before and had an epidural and it was like magic !!!! Will definately want to have another one . I am not as brave as I would like to be !!!

Hi ladies.. Monday again!
Well for me I was feeling real great over the weekend.. NO cramps (& i ALWAYS have cramps) & felt real c___ppy on Sunday, alittle nauseated & different feeling in my belly.. I was thinking this was great, could I be pg!! So I told my soon to be Dh there is a good chance, & he was so excited but then today.. I don't know.. i have a tight pair of jeans on thats pushing on my belly & I don't know if I feel cramps or not... HATE THIS.. I really should just believe it aint going to happen so I don't get our hopes up & wait til we married to begin IVF.
Anyways.. GOOD LUCK LM3 with your dr appt.. I hope you get all the answers your looking for!! I also have gained alot of weight..oh 40 or so & I am the opposite of you.. very wet all the time but I read that that is from the extra fat excreting estrogen so I don't about your dryness.. Let us know how your appt went.
Hopeful - hope you have a great week!
LovedBlessing-- It is great to hear of success stories with babies.. WOW so close your boys will be.. I hope all is well with your babies kidneys.
Thanks for all the welcomes..

hi all... sorry I was absent all weekend... I don't know where the time goes! LB - sorry to hear about your baby's kidney problem... I'm sending you positive thoughts. BM5 - OUCH - your spd condition sounds really painful/frustrating. HOPEFUL, I hope you're enjoying your trip. Re: diapers - haven't picked them out yet - I imagine we'll try a few different kinds. I'd like to stay away from pins - that's my main thought so far! I've been researching some things on other baby boards (like co-sleepers) so I'll probably do the same with diapers. Haven't started the hypnobirth cla__s yet, but I think it mainly will focus on relaxation, ma__sage, etc. My friend started one a couple of weeks back and is really enjoying it. LM3 - good luck with your appt today. TYLERSM - good to hear from you! It's great you are at 29 weeks... TRACY, since the shower thing is really getting you down, can you maybe talk with a family member or friend about doing one? It sounds like most people are a__suming that someone else must be doing a shower for you. I'm sure your friends and family would not want you feeling so down about it. Maybe your sister (the one who didn't have surgery) would coordinate for you? Or your mom? (Where is she from, btw? My mom is from S. America and also doesn't totally get traditions like showers and such). Anyway, I really think you should talk with someone, even if they don't live near you... I think I mentioned that I coordinated my friend's shower from 1000 miles away and it worked out fine. I enlisted the help of one of her local friends (someone she knew but who wasn't close enough to initiate the shower process) and she was able to pick up the food and stuff like that. My update: my Friday was a bit scary. I had some pink spotting on Thursday evening and night so my OB had me come in on Friday morning. I hadn't been feeling the baby move as much (although I think I was overreacting - it seems like some days he's just more active than others). Anyway, she did an exam and it turns out that I have a polyp on my cervix that bleeds fairly easily. It's good to have found the spotting source, but now I'm a little worried about the polyp. Has anyone had one during pregnancy? My OB said normally she just removes it but since I'm pg, she'd rather wait until delivery, unless it really starts bleeding a lot or something. I guess they are normally benign. The rest of the weekend was good...went to a couple of good music shows by the Avett Brothers, a really fun N. Carolina band. Eeekk.... just saw the time... I'd better go get ready to leave. ttyl....

Well I definately have cramps again so AF will probably show Thurs/Friday..
I hate letting down soon to be Dh.. Since he is a paraplegic he sooo wants to get pg naturally... He says he hopes to be able to do something natural- cant walk, cant get me pg.. I really hope we can, but my ob thinks not without ART.

Val, my mom is from Finland, and there are just some American traditions that Finns don't do. Since she has been in this country for over 40 years, you would think she would know our traditions by now. I actually tried to call my little sister a little while ago to ask her if she would throw me a shower. I know that sounds tactless, but at this point I don't care. I will offer to pay for the food and all, I just want to have a party with everyone that I love. We had inventory at work this morning, so while I was working with this one girl, I made the comment that I registered for stuff and I don't even think I'm having a shower, and she goes, "What about your mom?" , so I explained everything to her. I just wanted to see what vibe I got from her. Whatever, I give up. Val, so glad to hear your spotting was just from a polyp. From what I understand about polyps, they are not known to cause issues during pregnancy besides spotting, but they are known to interfere with the process of getting PG. I don't know a lot about them, but fibroids are more of a concern. If you read up on them, let me know what you find out. TTC#3.....my husband did not care how we got PG, as long as we did and he has a blood child. He is adopted and it is so important to him to have a natural child, but he could have cared less if it happened naturally!!! Hope those aren't cramps you are feeling!!! I just got home from work, I am beat, and my back is killing me, so I am going to lay down. By the way, I went to the doc for my back and I am going to start physical therapy because he said the muscles are just buckling up. He said it should stop hurting at some point, but the heat, ma__sage and ultrasound from therapy should offer quicker results on dealing with the pain from it. Wish me luck!

Sounds like a great plan for the pain tracy88.. good luck.
My soon to be will most definately go the ART route if in fact we cant get pg on our own.. but until we get married, it will not be covered by insurance so he wants to try naturally til then.. so Im game!! just wish i could do this for him.

You'll get PG....patience is the hardest thing to come by when TTC, but persistence pays, so keep at it no matter what. We took a few breaks, but were hell bent on having a baby, so we kept plugging along with procedures, etc....until our dream came true.

Thanks Tracey88, I really hope so. But surprise surprise AF showed this morning.. That would make my LF 11-12 days.. I had a + opk on 17th & 18th but my cp & cm had changed on 18th so I figured I'd caught the down side of my surge. I'll have to start charting again to make sure I am ovulating for sure.. but anyone have short LF?? I took clomid for my last child to be conceived because of a short LF but my cycles went 14 days after dd was born
