Punkin, so glad you enjoyed your family time. So you liked your son's GF? That's important. Did she seem comfortable around you? Oh, and leave your tree up for as long as you like......I used to procrastinate in taking mine down too, but not because I had kids, but because I loved having the lit up tree in the d__n living room! If you look at the origins of the "Christmas tree" it was actually a Pagan tradition to bring life into the home during the dead of winter, so they cut down an evergreen and brought it inside and eventually started decorating it. Do you think anybody put a time limit on how long that tree stayed inside???? NOOOOOOOO, so keep it up as long as you like and throw that factoid at your MIL next time. Thank you for your kind comments about my pics. You know, I know some chics who are just as PG as we are, who don't have weight issues, that are barely showing, so cut yourself some slack, it may not be the weight at all as to why you aren't showing as much as me. I also think that doing fertility treatments and genetics have a lot to do with how I am carrying this pregnancy. I started this endeavor with twins, so maybe my belly popped a little early???

Oh, the realtor sent us some listings via email, so DH and I drove by one that we like online, and I want this house sooooooo bad. It is in the most perfect neighborhood and the price is right. It is also in a development directly across the street from my inlaws development, so they would be really close (I, fortunately, love my in-laws). Anyway, so the realtor is going to see if we can go see it tomorrow. Wish me luck!

The thread called "TTC bleeding before af is due? Did you have this" (I bumped it up and it is here now on the board.) is the original thread of this thread back in August 2006. Boy has time flew. Check it out and watch as everyone got their BFP's... thanks for the great chatting and friendship!!!

OK, so after talking to DH's parents we are now looking for a house to buy! They have not said anything about helping us, but I know them, and if they are encouraging us to look at buying, then their intentions are clear. We saw some really cute ones today, so I am feeling very optimistic.

Hopeful and Excited a water bath sounds wonderful! I have seen a few on TV but that is as close as it comes. I know with my first I loved the shower. You will be a wonderful mother with all you’re planning and reading it's more than obvious you want the best for your little one. How are you coping with all your visitors to your home? Hopefully you will have lots of snow to entertain them. Tammy88 try not to worry too much. About the medication which is so much easier said than done. I agree with your doctor, I would be very surprised if your baby had addiction problems from Tylenol # 3.Wtih everything I took for my gallbladder my son had no addiction problems. Have you tried the Tylenol # 1's with codeine in them? You can buy them at walmart, there are not as strong as the 3's but seem to work for a good part of the pain I was dealing with. Ask your doctor when you get a chance. Good luck with your house hunting, fireworks every week would drive me crazy too! Val I'm sorry to hear the comments people are making about your stomach, I'm glad you are not letting it get to you. Your baby will arrive when it's ready. Just keep reminding yourself you are growing a healthy and happy baby. Pumpkin01 I do love the tree up with all the lights. One of my son's first words was "lights" he always pointed to the tree and fused until we turned the lights on. Lovemy3 and TT#335 just looking for a little info on conception. Which day or time of the month is considered the most successful? I've also heard that it is best not to have s_x a few days before you ovulate... is this true? I just feel a bit loss when I hear you referring to your cycles, can you help me out? Lovemy3 don't you wish you could meet some of the ladies you have met on the threads after chatting for so long. Too bad there isn't a chat room here. Is anyone experiencing their hands swelling? Last night I couldn' t take me ring off at all. This little boy is running out of room, I know longer feel kicks just squirming around. He moved so much last night I think he might be back in the birthing ca___l which would be great since I was told I would need a c-section if I went into labour again. For the ladies in the states is a c-section offered as a choice of birth or only if it is required? There seems to be several threads that I have read where the ladies have chosen to have a c-section.

Loved, I just started experiencing swelling this week. I already took my wedding rings off and my MIL is putting them in her safe deposit box. I noticed this afternoon that my feel felt tight after running around for half the day. I also wish I could meet you ladies. I became really tight with Val and some other girls on our infertility thread, and it actaully breaks my heart that most of us don't still talk, and will never meet. I mean, we talk about our bowel movements on here for God's sake! How much closer can you get to people without judging them? I had no idea there was a Tylenol#1 with codeine over the counter. I'll be honest though, the Tylenol 3's don't really help that much, so I'm not sure something weaker would be worth the trouble. I think the baby turned around because I have felt some really light sensations in my b___t of all places and I know it's not just gas. I have also gotten really tight and big over my ribs all of a sudden. OK, well now I am going to lay down. I have kept busy since I posted last, so now I really have to put my feet up!

UH, that's supposed to say that my "feet" feel tight after running around all day.

Tracy88 I meant to say behind the counter however you do not need a prescription, which is great. Just ask the pharmacist. Tylenol #3's always give me a wicked headache, #1's don'[t have the same affect. What about pain killers just for back pain? I know my DH takes one that works great for him. Let me check to see if you are even allowed to take them if you are pregnant. With my previous pregnancy I chatted with the same lady during my whole pregnancy. Unfortunately we drifted while I was in hospital (3weeks) It would be like my doctors office... just a sea of bellies and house of hormones. Oh well, at least we have this thread! I know I look forward to chatting and seeing how everyone is doing. Take care for now, Louisa

Punkin, go to the local drug store and buy a wrist guard or two and wear them to sleep. After a few nights of wearing them, the pain goes away. I obtained carpal tunnel in the past by the way I was sleeping and had to do this. It worked and trust me, it was sooooo worth it. The pain I would get all the way up to my shoulder was horrible. Sounds like your husband really does deserve a thoughtful Valentine gift. He busted his b___t this weekend. If I can think of anything creative, I will let you know. I can't believe that Valentine's day is Wednesday already! This month is flying by. I have 5 birthdays this month, and mine so that's six, plus Valentine's day to think about. Yikes!

Hello all!! Must be quick as the visitors have gone out (horrid rainy day and no snow but they're keeping busy and chirpy which is good!!) and so I can get some stuff done around the house, shower and then go shopping before they get back again. Busy busy busy. Anyway, woke up with an almighty st_tch in my side again yesterday morning - horrid - nearly thought about taking some medication coz standing, sitting, lying and drinking OJ were all failing as remedies. What helped? Having a cup of tea and some toast!!! Perhaps Bean was just extra hungry? I don't know - I think it may have been a case of trapped wind which was eased by eating something. Who knows - what's important is that it went away eventually so the rest of the day was good. What a way to greet my family though - "Hello - How are you? Great to see you! I'm so sorry but I need to go and lie down again!!" LOL!! They were all very understanding though! ******** Tracy - woweeeeeeeeeeeeeee BUYING a house is so exciting. I'm thrilled for you - it will make such a difference to your life. Keep us posted. Re. Valentine's - DH and I are going out for the day to see if we can buy the bits of furniture we need so that will be our present to each other I think (plus a nice meal out after my antenatal cla__s!) We've also got our 15 year anniversary this month and then DH's birthday next month (plus baby shower) so I can certainly relate to your situation with all those birthday celebrations too!! You've got me thinking about my rings and things - do you think I should take them all off? I can't bring myself to take off my wedding ring - it feels so strange without it on. Don't know what to do. Anyway - hope your back pain is easing somewhat with the excitement of new houses!! Val - what a shame you can't have a water birth. Have you thought about hiring a birthing pool to have at home for the early contractions at least - then you'll get a lot of the benefit even if you can't actually give birth there? I wouldn't worry about people's comments about your size - enjoy it while you can!! (I am!) Lovedblessings - thank you so much for your kind words. I'm really doing all the reading and research because I want to be prepared and to have as many choices as possible no matter what type of birth I have to have when it comes to it. Re. c-sections..........my only thing about that is that it takes the mother longer to recover and apparently the baby (although "calm" when it arrives) is weaker having not had to experience "labour". punkin - so sorry to hear about your "water" problems!!! Glad to hear they've finally been sorted. What chaos!! Hope your swelling goes down soon! ********* So must go now - lots to do and have been here too long!!! Hope all is well with everyone - sorry if I missed someone. I'll make it up to you!! TTYL! XOXOXOX

Hopeful, I had a hard time making the decision to take my rings off, but when I heard how one woman had to have her rings cut off, I said, "HELL NO, ain't nobody cutting my gems!!!!!" My fingers are also inconsistent right now with when they swell, so I didn't want to miscalculate and end up with them stuck and too tight to where they hurt. I had the most horrific bout of restless legs last night. It kept me up until 3am. I was so active yesterday, I stretched last night, I made sure I hadn't had chocolate past a certain hour, etc.... and it was worse than ever. As if normal pregnancy discomfort weren't enough! Hopeful, I am super psyched about the possibility of getting a house. We had NO intention of looking for a home to buy around here because for the size we need it would run about $500,000 just to start and quite frankly, with taxes, a__sociation fees, and insurance (Florida hurricanes!) we did not think we could swing it. With DH's parent's help, we can. So, we'll see. All there are around here are a__sociations, so that can't be avoided because we need to stay close to my husband's business. But the neighborhood we like is so quaint and QUIET!!! There are families everywhere and common gra__sy areas where kids get together to play, or a dog area where everyone goes to socialize and let their dogs play together, etc... I also love that there are playgrounds, because you can drive by at any time of day and see mommies hanging out and kids playing together. Anyway, enough about me. I am going to call about the prenatal yoga cla__ses now. Enjoy your company and lay down whenever your body requests it. Peace.

TRACY - that's so exciting about looking for a house to buy! Our in-laws helped us a bit also when we bought our place... it was really nice of them... HOPEFUL, sorry about your st_tch... all these random pg aches and pains are so odd and always seem to come on inconveniently, don't they? Haven't looked into renting a birth pool... we actually have a really nice big bath tub in the master bedroom so I might just get in there ahead of time! PUNKIN, sorry about the kitchen/water problems. Sounds like a mess! LB - I'm not sure about the answer to your c-section question. I think it probably depends on where you live... I know my friend said that c-sections were much more common in NY (where she had her baby) than in SF (where she lives now). Not too much new here... still sore in the pelvis area, especially on days when I walk around a lot. Debating whether to call the dr or if it's just normal aches and pains (which is what it feels like). We had a "howdy" interview with a pediatrician last Friday and loved her! She was exactly what we're looking for in a doctor, which was great! Now we can cross one more thing off our list. And we started the hypnobirth cla__s last night and it was really interesting. I now have homework for the week... have to listen to the hypnobirth cd and work on getting into that relaxed state... Hope everyone has a great day! :-)

Ok... first of all I would like to say "hi!" - second... I think you are some brave women to bare your bellies! LOL At some point on this thread, several weeks back, I saw a reference to a website that defined all the abbreviations used. I've figured some out and some make me say "huh?" Would anyone mind pa__sing that info along to me again? I am 23wks and having a girl due June 8. It is my second, I have a dd3 now. Hope you don't mind if I join you. Thanks!
