Hello all! Well I'm finally beginning to feel like my old self again after the busy few weeks I've just had. Thank goodness. Unfortunately this week is still going to be "full" but at least nearly everything is ready for the Bean. The baby monitor arrived yesterday (another present for my DH!! LOL!! Thanks for all the birthday greetings by the way - he had a great day!) and so now we're just waiting for our friend's ba__sinet so that I can measure up for a new mattress and sheets. (Anyone else confused as to what we're supposed to use for bedding in the first few months? I'm lost!! Undersheets seem clear but what about what goes on top? When do they usually move from ba__sinet to crib and then what do you use to keep them warm? Help!! LOL!!) I'm also awaiting a "parcel" from my sister-in-law which should fully complete the shopping list. Lastly, today I've been in constant email contact with a FANTASTIC service which gives PERSONAL advice about cloth diapers (VAL - I REALLY RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE - THEY'RE SOOOOOOOOOOOOO HELPFUL!!!!!!!!! You can find their website on w w w DOT thenappylady DOT co DOT uk - I hope that makes sense. If not, I'll try another way to write down their internet site!) So I feel like I'm well on the way to having all that sorted - it was like researching a PhD when I was reading around this subject. Nightmare!! Anyway, that's me really for now. How are you all? ******* BM5 - sorry about your extra workload. Could that have contributed to the UTI - stress related? Not good. Hope you won't get a repeat performance. Don't worry about your lack of nesting instinct. Mine has only really kicked in since the Baby Shower two weeks ago which took away a lot of the pressures. Anyway, you've had plenty of practice so I'm sure it'll all fall into place when it needs to. Tracy - keep up with the resting - and do some for me too!! LOL!!! Lovedblessings - how did the doc's appointment go? Dying to know where you're at! TTC#3 and lovemy 3 - great to hear you both sounding so positive and, of course, lots of Baby Dust coming your way. To everyone else - hope you're all well. Big Hugs as usual and I'll TTYL!! XOXOXOX

My doctor's appointment was pretty straight forward. His heartbeat was 143, my cervix hasn't changed from the last visit. My doctor discussed inducing my at 38 weeks. Which is two weeks away. What a wonderful feeling that soon this little boy will be in my arms. Who knows maybe I will go into labour before. Naturally would be better!, if possible! Lovemy3 great to hear from you, how is the weight loss going. I will be looking for tips once i have this baby.

TTC #335 Can't wait to tell you my birth storie and hear about you baby to be! Let's hope this is yours and Lovemy3's month! My doctor explained that s_x works better that a membrane sweep to induce labour natrually. However he is male, let's face it... I'm sure the boys stick together!!! The choice is your, one poke from your doctor or numerous from your DH. Sorry ladies if that is too much information! Hope and Excited, make sure you take some time to relax! You have had it crazy busy for the last few weeks. Maybe a great movie and curl up on the couch with your DH!

LB - thats funny & true.. poking from dr or dh!!!
H&E - i just wrapped my kids in a receiving blanket like they will at the hospital.. that way they are snug as a bug in a rug then i just hung a heavier receiving blanket on top of the ba__sinet so it really didnt touch them but kept it warm inside.. you know what i mean?
I was thinking of all you ladies this morning. I real pregnant lady came into the elevator with me & i wondered if you guys look like that! I wanted to rub her belly!! shed be like freak whatcha doing!!

Well you ladies know what I would choose-lol. Although I chose that in my other 3 pgs and I still went late! I was 9 days late on #1 and 6 days late on both #2 & #3. So, I'm thinking when you do it all the time...your body's probably used to it. But I don't know-Loved-I think it would be worth a try? Maybe you could make it a little more enticing for dh this time? I remember with my #3 and already 4 days late, I laid on the edge of the bed and said, okay honey, let's get this baby outta here! I'm sure you could come up with something a little more romantic than that!-lol. TTC-you might've gotten slapped for touching that belly-lol, but it is hard to resist! I really don't mind it so much but I know some people are pretty offended by it. I figure it can't hurt anything-maybe it'll make my baby more well-rounded getting hands-on all the time. Hopeful-I did the same thing as TTC, I wrapped the baby in a baby blanket just like they did at the hospital so it's "swaddled" and feels like he/she is still in the womb. Some people roll another blanket and put it on one side of the baby too to help it feel "swaddled" (sorry-that's the only word I can think of right now to describe it). It's nice to have all your stuff in order, hopefully in a week or two maybe you can settle in and relax and just wait for baby's arrival! COL-how are you doing? Still on bedrest?

I'll be watching for your birth news. wasn't today a beautiful day in our neck of the woods? Big hugs to all!!!!

Lovemy3, Your right what a beautiful day yesterday! Everyone seemed to be out for a walk. We went out for about a 25 minutes. Did you take the kids out to let off some steam? Talk about spring fever kicking in! My contractions were really strong last night after walking and the baby's head was engaged. It lasted about 4 hours then stopped. Babymakes5 My DH would love some excitedment in the bedroom. The only moaning that is going on at the moment is when I am rolling over to a new sleeping position. I guess you'll be expecting this baby to show up later to. An article I read explained that if your cycles are longer than 28 days you have a 50 % chance that you baby will be overdue. TTC # 335 it's funny how many strangers will come up to you when your pregnant and rub your belly. Even when your nursing I find a lot of people uncover the baby to have a peek..

Hey guys, just a quick hello. LM3....the bllod sugar is ok. It tends to be higher than it should be first thing in the morning when I take my fasting reading, but after meals it is usually perfect. The one time it has been high after a meal was because I had a sandwich and the wheat bread was too much I think. I have been sleeping better, and have had a good few days with the RLS. I hope this lasts. Still toiling over what type of chair to buy for the nursery. Do I get a glider or regular old rocking chair. I know I have probably brought this up before, but there are no inexpensive gliders out there in the wood color that I need. I can't even improvise, so I was going to get a regular rocking chair and stain it, but I am afraid it will be too uncomfy. Hmmm. What to do. I put an expensive glider of my choice on my PBKids registry, but noone is going to buy it for me, I just know it. What do you guys think? I want some kind of rocker/glider.

Tracy, I am very excited to meet him! In regards to your rocking chair I would go with a good old fashion rocker. My DH bought me a glider for Christmas and it is already broken. No, it has nothing to do with my jiggly b___t or big belly! That is the joke around the house though. With my first son we had a good old fashion rocking chair that I loved! Wish I still had it. Just make sure you have a comfy cushion. The first few weeks would be really tough without one. Hopeful and Excited. The health nurse here recommends a warm sleeper with no blankets in the crib. With my oldest son there were bumber pads and a blanket. Now nothing at all!

Hi everyone. Tracy-glad to hear the RLS is easing up-my mom has it and I've had it with certain meds and know how miserable it is. Hopefully you'll keep getting more sleep. I prefer the gliders because the rockers seem to take up more room (need to allow room behind them from the wall to rock) and they tend to slide back to the wall anyways when on a carpet. But I think as long as you have an ottoman for either, it should be good. WIth my dd I had a cloth rocker/recliner in her room, which was nice because I could rock or nurse and recline (and sometimes fall asleep). LB-I guess times have changed since I've had dd 11 years ago-lol. So, no bumper pads or blankets? Are they supposed to sleep on their side, stomach or back now? I've heard so much controversy over that. It's changed at least a dozen times since mine were babies. Does anyone get side aches? You know those pains that you get sometimes when you run? I think they call them side st_tches? I seem to have it/them constantly and I'm not sure what to do about it? I'm hoping it's not my liver or anything? That and lower back pains are my current complaints-lol. TTYL!

Babymakes5, it's on their back to sleep now. Ok, it was 13 months ago! With my first son it was on his side with the top part of the ba__sinet elevated. With my 13 month old we had him in his car seat when he was not co sleeping. Just never over dressed. It's tough, you get through the first three months of pregnancy and your supposed to be in a sate zone. Then once the baby is born the first three months are the highest for sids, even though a year is considered the safest. Worry, worry, worry! I try not to think about it too much, just enough make him as safe as possible. I'm so excited to nurse and bond with my new baby boy. Ok, enough tears, off to play with the other two boys! Have a great night!

We have a health nurse visit the house after the baby is born which is a free service! Is that something you are offered?
