Perl - that is so wonderful! Isn't it great! It really is a blur - I am just now starting to feel like I am not walking around like a zombie. Baby Katie turned 2mo today! Everyone told me the first 2wks of b___stfeeding were the hardest....I found the 3rd week the hardest because she started being awake more and was really fussy at night - that is when I cut dairy from my diet and things got better.

SANN - that is wonderful. Time will fly by before you know it! My SIL is pg and it was a pleasant unexpected surprise and they are already into wk 16 - unbelievable!

Hi Trying ... Glad to hear from you : ) Thanks, I doing pretty good and well enough to get back to work these days. Just start to have craving .... potatoes and meats, begining to feel more pregnant again : ) My 19weeks 1 day today ..... Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy : ) How's things with you? Perl - Hope you're coping well as a new mommy : ) Take care : )

We had 2 month appt this week - unbelievable how fast time goes! She weighed 10lbs, 11 oz, 22.5 inches long. We did shots and she did fine with this round. She is starting to move bedtime earlier, but nights have been bad - up more often...so I guess I have to be careful what I wish for. They said I could start feeding her cereal with a spoon!! Unbelievable...of course, it is mostly milk or formula with some cereal mixed in...but WOW!

Sann - you are doing soooo good! I craved ice cream! No kidding! I was one who could let ice cream freezer burn in the freezer, but NOT during my pg and not now either - although I am not having it!

SANN - November 24

Hi Trying ... Thanks so much : ) That's wonderful, Little Katie is doing really well : ) I know what you mean, I'm not usually big on meat but now it's unbelieveable how much I crave ... heeheehee. Well nothing new here just waiting to do Level II U/S next Thursday and Dh & I can't wait to see our baby girl again. Perl ---- Thinking of you : ) Hope all is well with you and Baby Peter. Take care and ttyl : )

SANN - all sounds good. So excited for you. Perl - how is it going? Harder than I thought, you too? I still love every minute of it - even when I am BEGGING her to go to sleep! ha ha

Perl - November 28

Trying: definitely harder than I thought too. I really miss getting some solid sleep. I would love to get a good 8 hours of sleep or even 4 hours is nice. I wouldn't expect to feed cereal to the baby that soon either--shows you how little I know! Ha! I wish I had read more about baby care during the pregnancy. They really should give us a book or something (like an "owner's manual" )when you take the baby home from the hospital. Sometimes I feel so clueless. ***Sann: soo happy for you for being in your 18th week and that you're feeling somewhat better. I hope it's all smooth sailing for you from here on out. ***If you're interested, rather than repeating myself I should let you know that I posted my birth story on the November moms thread. ***All is well with me and little Peter. He's growing nicely and Dr says he looks great. I'm still on the high blood pressure medication and have stopped itching everywhere except my feet. All the swelling is pretty much gone except my wedding ring still doesn't fit me yet. So things are looking great! I'm anxious to make it to my 6 week postpartum appointment so my OB can tell me that I'm back to normal again. My belly is still working on getting smaller and I'm 15 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight which is not bad I think. ****What's new with you ladies??

tryingx3 - November 29

Perl - sounds great! You are on about the same track I was on for weight loss and getting my rings on. I am down to 2.5 pounds to pre-baby weight and finally wearing both rings...my feed spread or something so some shoes still aren't right! I read on one post that it took one woman 10 months to get her feet back! Another thing I recently heard was my cousin gained a lot of fluid during pg and later ended up with dermat_tis on her hands and feet - worse on her right side...she said the dermatologist said it is pretty common with pg women...just an fyi since you had that itching...might be something to watch for. She had to use a medicated cream to clear it up. I go back to work next week - sat up crying and holding Katie this morning...it breaks my heart to leave her. I feel like I am giving her away!

Perl - November 30

Trying: I can imagine how difficult it would be to get back to work. My own dh felt sad after his two weeks were up and he had to go back to work. I remember though that you said you had found daycare across the street from where you work right? So I know it will be hard but at least you can visit and spend time with Katie during breaks and lunch I hope. My little Peter seems to have a cold congested nose and lots of little sneezes. I feel so dumb because I don't know what to do except take his temperature (he has none) and call the pediatrician's office. They are going to hate me for calling them with my questions.

SANN - December 1

Hi Perl .... Trying : ) Yes!!!!! I'm feeling/doing pretty good/well especially after having done Level 2 yesterday .... our baby girl is doing fine and ok too, blood pressure and glucose all tested fine. Except for weight, I think? (though my ob/gynae said nothing to worry about), I've only gain about 8lbs(7.92 to be exact) in 20 weeks. How much weight did the both of you put on when you girls were in your 20th weeks? Just pa__s the halfway mark .... 20wks +2dys today : ) : ) : ) Dh and I, we'll be able enjoy Christmas with the loads of our minds. Perl ---- I read your post from the other thread, it's amazinggggg : ) Glad to hear you're doing well. Sorry to hear little Peter has a temperature, how's he doing today? Perhaps it's just the weather ... must be really cold now. My dh's niece will be leaving for the US and Cananda in 2 weeks and we've been checking on the weather, looks cold to me. Trying --- Sorry to hear little Katie is not feeling too well, hope she's better today. You're going back to work already. I can't imagine leaving my baby girl too : ( Anyway ... I negotiated to work 4 days full time from home, going back to the office once a week cos I'm not too comfortable with the infant daycare providers here. TTYL

SANN - that all sounds soooooooo GREAT!! I didn't mean to say Katie was sick - I was indicating that some congestion or sounds like congestion are evidently normal. She has had that since we brought her home, sometimes it is the kind that makes her nasal enough to snore. So cute! :-) Perl - sorry Peter has had a temp. I haven't had to deal with that yet!!! SANN - good luck working from home...I don't think I could get anything done! Katie will be 11 wks tomorrow and I am just now getting comfortable with the idea of bathing and getting 6-7 hrs of sleep a day!

Perl - December 3

Sann: good for you for negotiating work from home. I plan to do the same (work from home) as soon as I feel the need to start working again. Trying: 6 hours of sleep a day?! Wow! Is that 6 continuous hours or an hour here and there that adds up to 6?? ha ha!

SANN - December 5

Hello ladies : ) So glad to hear from the both of you (busy mommies). Trying --- Ooops! Must have misread your post. 11 weeks old ... little Katie must be doing great. I can imagine how cute to hear little babies snores hahaha : ) So what's new with you? Perl - How's little Peter? Re : Working from home ... like Trying said not sure if I can get any work done at home with the little one around heeheehee : ) How's things with you?

Perl - December 6

Hi Sann, thanks for asking. Peter is doing fine. I feel like a paranoid freak calling the pediatrician every week with a new question though. Yesterday I had to take him back to the Dr. to check out the rash on his face. Dr. said it was nothing to worry about. I suspected he might say that but as a first time mom you never know and since his eyes had red circles and his eyelids were puffy yesterday I had to have him checked out. He's fine and all I need to do is put a little hydrocortisone on his skin nothing I can do about his eys though. ***I agree with not getting anything done trying to work from home. I am lucky if I can squeeze in a decent meal for myself between feeding and changing the baby and catching up on sleep. This afternoon my MIL is coming over so I can take a real shower rather than the quick 2 minute version I've had to do lately(ick). ***Have you picked out some names for your baby girl yet?? About your weight gain. Don't worry about it at this point. When I was in week 24-26 I had gained about 13 pounds when Dr. told me to eat more but I couldn't because of acid reflux. Anyway, I started gaining weight really fast in the last 8 weeks of my pregnancy for no apparent reason (I wasn't eating more but maybe exercising less). Just make sure you are eating enough balanced meals to nourish your body and getting the right amount of vitamins (either in foods or in supplements). **What's new with you and Katie ,Trying?

SANN - December 7

Hi Perl : ) Sounds like you're doing fine. Re : Being paranoid --- I know aht you mean, I'm quite a paranoid freak myself especially being a first time mommy. Lately ... I've been pararnoid about not gaining enough weight, what are stuffs I should prepare/buy, going into labour, how to take care of a new born, b___stfeeding etc etc etc. Thanks for the asurrance, was worried for awhile even though my ob/gynae said I was doing fine, most of my girlfriends gain at least 10 lbs when they were in their 20th week, I seem to be the odd one out. I think it's great to have MIL's help. We're planning on asking my MIL to stay over for a couple weeks cos my mom can only be around for the first week or so she's helping my brother out babysitting his kids. Re : Names .... My Dh was thinking, it's either Isabelle (which we had picked last year) or Zoe (which Kristin had named her baby girl ... I think it's such a pretty name). My MIL is not too fond about us naming our baby girl Isabelle ... she thinks it might be jinx. No decision made yet ... still looking for a pretty name. Meanwhile my Dh has been caling our little girl, "Princess", when he talks to her and she seems to respond to his voice with some movements (pretty faint though) .... he's so cute when he talks to his "little princess" asking her to "kick" for Daddy : ) : ) : ) Are you back to your pre-pregnancy weight yet?
