I am afraid that I will be upset by the comments when I tell people. At 45, and nearly 10 years since our last, I am thrilled, but I really don't know how I'll handle the comments, however well intentioned. Anyone have some good positive quips that aren't nasty or sound defensive? Thanks!

There is nothing that you can really do to prevent this....excep be a__sertive when someone makes a comment. I would say something the the effect AND WE ARE THRILLED to bring another miricle into this world. Turn any negative ccomments around to ake them feel like the bad person for asking because really its NOT their place to judge. I must say that no matter what end of the spectrum you are on it happens. I was 21 yrs old with my first and now 23 with my second. I have gotten so many people saying "wow you are ready for another one already?" I just say well I have been married for three years and with my hubby for 7 so YES we are ready and tried to have this baby! Not that it SHOULD matter b/c I am an adult and make mY own decisions. I know I cant really help but at least you know that its not just you getting comments!! Have a happy pg!
