Any One Terrified Of Labor And Delivery

Hi ladies I know it is a little soon to be thinking about this but now that the baby is in there, it's gotta come out some way some how.... I am not sure if it's better to push the baby out or get a C-Section. I am afraid of pushing because I don't want to get torn (Down There). Even a small baby looks too big to come out of such a small hole.... OMG, Am I just being paranoid, or is this a normal concern??

I think it is natural to be worried and scared about delivery. This is my second, and I am nervous. I am more scared to have to get a C-Section, I hate the thoughts of getting cut open!!!

Did you have to push? If so, did you tear and have to get stiches? Was it painful?

I'm terrified of labor! Not only the pain but all the other stuff that can happen during labor. The more I read and hear about it the more I think i would rather have a c-section. But then 2 of my friends who had C-sections said that the recovery time is longer and more painful than regular labor as once the baby is born you tend to forget. But with c-section you carry it for a month or more. If you do your excerises right, there is a less of a chance of tearing and some times if the baby is too big they will cut side ways so that you don't tear length wise.

when i had my son, he was 7lbs 9 oz, they cut me, i didnt feel athing, it was more of a relief. i did get st_tches the i didnt really feel that either. it does take longer to heal then if you dont get cut, but managable. buy a sitz bath it helps alot, and i used tucks, they seemd to work for me. it took about 1 1/2 weeks to heal. it's not that bad. but it is better to get cut then torn. it's easier to stich up. hope that helped

Oh I was scared before but I'm terrified! The only thing I can think of is labor and I'm so scared! Somehow whenever I turn on TV it's some doc_metary about kids and delivery and problems in pregnancy and during labor! It's like something is telling me that my labor can go wrong! :( My husband says that I'm crazy and everything will be ok, everything is ok so far, I'm in a 4th month, but still I can't help it!

To Lucky1... Yes I had to push, but once I got to the point of pushing, it was 20 minutes and he was here, I had to get 4 st_tches, so that wasn't to bad, I didnt' think!! My son weighed 7lb 6 3/4oz, so he was a good size. I would recomend getting the epidural for sure!!! It took the pain away for me, I couldn't feel too much after that.

ive had both a c-section and a v____al delivery. go for the v____al!! u think its gonna be a lot worse than it is, but once u get into that "labor mode" things change. yes the contractions hurt, but i have felt worse pain (kidney stones) i did have to get cut, i didnt feel a thing. pushing didnt hurt, it actually felt good. stay positive about the whole thing. just keep in mind that it is natural. u are a woman, u are strong, u can do it!!!

Hello!! I had my son 4 yrs ago and am 17 wks pregnant with #2!! I had him completely natural and everything was fine. Don't get me wrong, it was painful but you already know there will be some pain involved. The doctor had to cut a little and I tore also. That wasn't the bad part. The st_tches were the worst. He kept giving me shots to numb the area before he st_tched. I survived, you will too!! I would rather do it v____ally that c section any day.
