Hello out there!! I feel really silly posting this, but I have a question and I am not sure if I should call my Dr. or not. Hopefully you all can help me...and this may be a bit gross to some of you!! I am 16 weeks pregnant, yesterday I drank a milkshake from Starbucks which tasted a bit "off" to me. My husband tried it and said it tasted fine, so I trusted him and took a few more sips, before I decided that I really didn't like it and threw it out. A few hours later I started to get some severe abdominal cramping and some diarrhea (Sorry...thats the gross part!!), then I fell asleep and woke up this morning to some mild pelvic cramping that has so far continued throughout the day-no more diarrhea. I haven't had cramping like this before. Baby seems OK (heart rate according to doppler is 150 bpm). Should I be concerned and call the doctor, or should I just wait and see?

I would wait it out if it were me, but if it will ease your mind go ahead and call. Better to be safe than sorry! I feel cramping all the time usually, it comes and goes anyways, but the nurse said that it's probably just stretching and round ligamnet pain. Hope i helped!

Hi apple! Thank you for your input! That's what I decided to do also. I will wait one more day and see how things pan out. I get occasional cramping too from stretching and ligament pains, but this feels different today, and my stomach feels hard to touch. I think it is just irritated from the "goings on" that happened yesterday! What a disaster!!

I had something similar happen when I had a McDonalds shake. I was so bloated and (tmi) ga__sy, it was terrible! I'm not sure what they put in those things, but it certainly wasn't just milk and ice cream. I will never have another one. Hope you are feeling better today.
