Gee, ladies!
It sounds like a lot of you are getting a test done at a very unnecessary age!! My doctor is completely against it!!! Along with an amnio! It causes way too much stress and he did mention that there is a very strong possibility of false/positive!!! Don't do it to yourself!!!

I am 36 and just had a AFP4. It appears that the AFP4 (quad screen) test is better than the AFP3 (triple screen) test. The AFP4 tests for four markers instead of three and appears to be more accurate. My tests just came back and everything looks fine. Now I am glad I did it, but I was really concerned about whether I would feel compelled to have an amnio if something came back abnormal. I honestly think I was going to worry regardless and so having the AFP test was good for me.
