I'm 14 weeks pregnant today.
This may seem to be a strange question, but I have heard that drinking alot of water is very important. I'm a little worried since usually I only drink about 2 - 3 glasses a day. Is this harmfull to the baby?

Water intake is important whether you are pregnant or not. Daily recommendation is about 8-10 per day. You need to also think about how much juice you drink, as this can be counted toward your water intake as well. You may be getting enough, but just a few more gla__ses a day really won't hurt. I was pretty much like you, but now I take a bottle of water with me everywhere. Having it handy helps.

It is crucial to make sure you stay hydrated as dehydration can induce contractions and lead to preterm labor.

The way someone put it to me is, imagine your baby hanging out in the same, dirty bath water. You want to change that water throughout the day for him. Also, it will help flush your system and prevent bladder problems. Drink up!

Yes, it is very important! As a matter of fact if you don't drink enough water, you & your baby can dehydrate!
