Hi ladies. Im just hoping someone here a bit further on than me can put my mind to rest. Ive had a rough few days - havent been sleeping well, feeling stressed, nightmares waking me up - nausea, irritable etc... now this morning i feel very hot and started having cramps low down, like af cramps. I havent had these since about 5wks so im worried. I dont have any other symptoms of mc, and have had no spotting or bleeding. Since about an hour after the cramps started ive been lying and trying to rest but i cant sleep for worrying. I had a mc at 12wks just last October, but it was a missed mc, i had no signs whatsoever and just found out at the scan. This time we have seen the baby moving at 10wks so i was happy that things were different this time and plus ive been so much sicker than the first time. Im also on baby aspirin and progesterone. Can anyone give me advice here?

If I were you I would head to the ER if for no other reason then peace of mind. When I was 12 weeks with my first pregnancy I had cramping like you are describing and went to the ER for an unltrasound. Everything was fine and my daughter is now a little over two years old. I am currently 22 weeks 3 days and so far this time haven't had any scares. knock on wood. Everything is probably fine, however, a lot can be said for having a doctor tell you the same thing.

Hi mjvdec01 - thanks for your response. I cant get to the hospital today because its easter wkend and where i live they close everywhere and only deal with emergencies...im going to go for my 12wk scan tomorrow afternoon tho, so il find out soon enough if everythings ok or not. Just got to try to stop worrying long enough to sleep tonight! The cramps have eased off now, i took 2 cold showers to bring down my temp and have been laid all afternoon..im hoping thats a good sign. Thanks for your rea__surance tho, your experience gives me some hope! I will post again tomorrow.

Hi MissP, I was always told that the first thing I should do when feeling any kind of cramping is to start drinking a lot of water. 90% of the time it helped almost immediately. A lot of times the cramping is normal stretching and growing but it is also a sign of not getting enough water (even if you think youare--I thought I was drinking a ton,but we need LOTS). In the end of the first trimester I ditched pretty much everything BUT water and have felt great. Good luck on your scan!!!
