I had PIH (Pregnancy Induced Hypertension) with my first pregnancy and I was wondering how to keep my blood pressure down with this next pregnancy?

Drink water - at least 10-12 gla__ses a day. And make sure you are taking enough calcium (2,000 mg/day) with magnesium (calium: magnesium should be a 2:1 ratio). Calcium citrate or calcium chelate is best - calcium carbonate is very hard to digest. Alos, if you take supplements, take no more than 500 mg in a two hour period - the rest just gets flushed out. Finally, walk a bit each day. It keeps you circulatory system healthy.

I had toxemia with my first child very bad. With my second my doc had me taking 2 tums a day. He said the studies are not positive but it doesn't hurt anyway. My second child I had no high blood pressure.

I'm pregnant with my third child. I had high blood pressure w/ my first two and ended up going into labor prematurely with both, so my OB has me on a blood pressure pill called Aldomet, which is safe to take during pregnancy

I am so stressed at times, I feel like I am going crazy. Does anyone else have issues with stress. Would love to hear from moms who were stressed during previous pregnancies and how you coped and how the pregnancy turned out. Thanks.
