I think the girlfriends guide to pregnancy is awesome!

What to Expect When You're Expecting is a good one. It gives good details about labor and delivery

What to Expect is the best I've read. When I had my daughter, I knew everything that was going to happen and why things were being done to me. "1000 Questions About Your Pregnancy" is also good, but it's written on a sort of textbook level and doesn't really discuss changes from month to month, emotions, or any of the little things we worry about but don't want to ask our docs about (probably because it was written by a man). You should also get "What to Expect the First Year," it is an absolute comfort to a new parent.

if you don't have a library card at your local public library, I suggest you go get one. There are usually LOTS of books on pregnancy/delivery etc. You can check out as many as you like and have yourself a smorgasbord of reading. If you come across a book you really like alot, you can usually buy it at the book store or through Amazon.

i love the girlfriends guide! i didn't care much for the what to expect books. to me they are more alarmist and not as informative.

Where can you get the Girlfriends Guide?
