Question About Fetal Movement 17 Weeks 2nd Child

Hey there Hannah: I totally wasn't responding to you, but to the lady whose doctor told her women DO NOT feel their babies at 14-15 weeks. I think we'd all love to KNOW for sure it's our baby moving and not gas or anything else, but there's just no way to know that. I just get irritated with people saying, "You're not feeling your baby move" just to try and prove some point. So what if you're not and you think you are? Why rain on a mommy's parade that way? I say let every mother think she's feeling her baby move and let her be happy with that even if you and your doctor think it's impossible! By the way CONGRATS on your 2nd! I had no idea you were pregnant again, I've read some of your posts over in infant care. :-) When are you due?

I am 14 weeks and think I am feeling little flutters but am also thinking that it may be gas. I have a DR's app. tomorrow and I'm going to ask my doctor if you could possibly feel the baby this early. Part of me says no but another part says anything is possible. I can't remember when I could feel my daughter move I just rememer I could feel her move when i went in to find out the s_x of the baby at 5 months.

Hi KimL!! I am due on october 13 (friday the 13th!!) Im 17w4d. Im everywhere on this web site. I feel like i have so much to offer besides being a mom and pregnant i also worked on a maternity floor for almost a year so i have tons of info from that. I feel flutters everyday i just cant remember everything so clearly with my first pregnancy and my notes in her book are kinda sparatic (baby brain) Im just worried, i cant wait until US on the 22 of this month. Its scary to think that at this point in pregnancy i am so attached to my baby and their could be something really wrong, but i have faith in god and that everything will be ok...its just a little nerve racking!!

Okay girls, I just got back from my doctors appointment and asked him if there is the possibility of feeling the baby move at 14 weeks. He said absolutley when it is your second one because you actually realize what the flutters are and your body remembers the flutters telling your brain that it is the baby. He also said that your body is also more relaxed from being pregnant once before and your uturas and everything isn't as tight allowing you to feel the baby earlier then in a first pregnancy. He did say you probably wouldn't feel the baby everyday when feeling the flutters. Which I don't I probably feel the flutters every other day. He said that sounded about right.

HI all - I'm 19w2d and loving how my little one moves. I started feeling "something" (that was not gas btw) around 16 1/2 weeks, but it would only happen every few days. Now I'm starting to really feel stuff, although still not very often. After I eat after supper, I can usually feel him/her moving around now and occasionally get to feel from the outside too, but only with the big kicks/headb___ts. I've never been so facinated with my stomach that's for sure!

I keep feeling fluttering in my tummy. I can't tell if it is the bun or the food I just ate. My DH says that my tummy always sounds like indigestion. I am 16+6 right now.

Hi ladies - wonderful to read about everyone feeling their precious babies! Hannah you and I are close in due date - I'm due October 5th. I think october will be a wonderful month to have a baby! (Though every month is, I'm quite sure. :-) How far apart in age will your little ones be? This will be our first. Well kind of - I had two miscarriages last year. My ultrasound is on the 24th - can't wait to find out how yours goes! I'm sure all will be just perfect. I bet working on a maternity floor has given you a lot of perspective, that's wonderful! I might as well work on a maternity floor with all the stuff I read. Ha! I can't help myself - I find everything about pregnancy and babies just totally fascinating!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys, just to let the lady (with the very decisive doctor) know, this is my first and I thought a felt a flick from within at 14.5 wks, then again the following week, these have increased gradually until now - I am nearly 19 wks and now flicks are much more frequent and a bit stronger. Is it not just ok to understand that everyone is different? I too get worried when baby stops moving for half a day or so as have come to rely on these little reminders. Maybe some of us have thicker uterus walls then others or something? good luck all, bet when the little ones are running about we will be wishing they'd stay still and now we r all praying for them to move move move!
