Ok so i have REALLY bad heartburn!! today i didn't eat anything with acid in it as i know about my problem and try my hardest to avoid foods that i know will trigger it. But it's still here!!! just as bad as it would be if i ate some acidic. Can someone please give me some pointers or maybe some remedies that will help ease my pain!! It's horrible. It's so bad that if i drink hot tea or hot soup i can feel inside my esophogus where the acid has been eatting away. :-(

I know I have certain days where my heartburn is worse no matter what I eat. I just eat a few Tums an hour until it feels better. I did find one other thing that helps - I buy raspberry sherbet and make a "milkshake" with it, it's nice & cool which feels good going down, and it really helps to take my heartburn away. I don't what makes it work - but it does. Hope this helps and you feel better soon.

Hey there. Call your doctor up and ask him if you can take Zantac. Mine prescribed it to me and I have never felt better. But if you don't want to do that, try any milk product like milkshakes (they coat your esophagus on the way down) Its a temporary solution but it should help :)

Hi sorry to sound mean but get used to it. I'm 31 weeks and have been dealing with it since about 20 weeks. Sometimes it even feels like I am going to throw up straight acid. I've alraedy gone through about 3 bottles of extra strength tums. I also have been drinking lots of milk which has helped. I'm not sure about the Zantac like the other ladies said but it's worth a try. Also try to stay away from citrus fruits, chocolate, caffeine, and coffee. They are definitely triggers for me. Good Luck!

Hey Ladies, I have also been experiencing really terrible hearburn- to the point where I want to cry... Zantac only works for me if I take it consistently for a few doses...I usually take a few Tums (extra strength berry kind) and drink water. I have found though that sipping gingerale works too though. Taking really small sips though throughout an hour. I was desperate once that I looked up natural remedies for it online and got some really weird info...like to drink cider vinegar. Yuk! Bananas also help a lot. I eat one every night before bed. Hope that helps. Goodluck!

Hey, Hey. I am also experiencing KILLER heartburn to the point I was out of work for it once this week. I dont know if its heartburn or acid reflux cause its only in my throat, not my chest... I am 22w4d and went to the DR yesterday and she said itll only get worse. If you have a normal pregnancy, no complications or issues, try taking Zantac along with Tums. Thats what my DR said yesterday. Also, dont eat for about 1-2 hours before laying down, and when you sleep, stay propped up. I found that laying or even sleeping in a reclined position has helped, and even though I have only taken the Zantac for 1 day, no heartburn yet. Woohoo. Good Luck in whatever you decide to do!
