I was wondering if its safe to sleep on your back?

You are not supposed to once you hit the 2nd trimester. When you lay on your back the baby sits on blood vessels, etc that can cut blood off to your baby. Its a pain not being able to..... Your also not supposed to do any exercises that require you to lay flat on your back. Hope this helps :)

I always read the same thing about sleeping on your back. However, I talked to my nurse yesterday and told her that I was having awful restless legs syndrome/leg pain at night when trying to sleep on my side. She said at this point to sleep anyway that's comfortable, including on my back. I'm 28 weeks and never get lightheaded lying on my back so maybe there is less of a concern for bloodflow if the mom doesn't feel lightheaded? I would just ask your OB. Congrats on the pregnancy!
