I had a 12 week ultrasound & they told me I was 6 days ahead of my schedule date, when I went to the Dr. 4 wks. later she said my uterus feels like only 14 weeks but should be 16-17 weeks, very concerned this was just my family Dr., Does this mean the fetus is growing to slowly or can she be incorrect. I know for a fact I am 16 weeks 100% positively there is no mistake

Hi Michelle, your dates could be wrong as you may have ovulated later in your cycle than what you thought. Everyone ovulates at different times but for some reason when working out our dates they use the same system for everyone, so you may be just a little behind what you think. But if you are worried you probably should get a second opinion. Good luck xx

What are the risks of pregnancy with a small uterus (4cm). Can I carry a baby until term? Will there be difficulties getting pregnant and staying pregnant? Do you know any websites with info about this?

I seem to have a very similar problem. When Iwent for my 12 week appointment they told me my uterus feels like the size of a 10 week uterus. My doctor said I must have my dates wrong and ovulated 2 weeks later. I am rather confused by these since I tested positive on the day he said that I must have of ovulated. I am also sure of my dates, have you found any info on varying fetal devlopment in the 1st trimester?
