So I'm about 19 weeks along and I am pretty certain Its a girl, but I'm going the 18th to confirm It. When I'm 20 weeks In. I've been debating when to start baby shopping? I have a check list made, but being to lazy to go. Would It be to early to shop now, I know baby shower.. but I'm very picky. So the most I'm going to accept Is clothes and maybe diapers LOL. Yes I'm one of those people who smacks people In the mall when they rub my tummy! (seriously, do I look like a puppy???) My husband gets a little to excited about baby clothes, yes he can be strange. But In a good way, can you blame me for being the less thrilled In the deal. He's not exactly got to carry the little one Inside for 9 months. I just dont know, I know Its weird stressing over when to start shopping. But I dont want to be the person who waits to long and then It passes by and I'm not ready?? When do you start shopping, Or when do you plan to start?

I'm 14 w 4d and I've already started shopping. For me, it's mostly to cut the costs so I'm not spending a ton of money all at once. I'm saving certain items for the baby shower that in the sort of price range that I know a lot of people like to spend. I'm kind of opposite from you, though, in that I have no desire for other people to buy clothes for my baby. I am VERY picky in this regard!

With both of my pregnancies I started shopping right after I got my positive tests. That early I bought unis_x things, then when I found out the s_x, I went nutts and bought even more. I am 38 weeks now, and will be induced next thursday. Needles to say, I am now done shopping and am confident I have everything I need.

Yeah, I'm going to register for things like a diaper genie, a SPECIFIC monitor, window covers for my back windows in my car, a baby bathtub, burp cloths, wash cloths, etc. I'm not going to make it very fun for my friends and family. I've already told my best friend that she is allowed to buy clothes for the baby because her taste is better than mine! And my mom can buy stuff because we have the exact same taste. But, anybody else, STICK TO THE REGISTRY! I hope that doesn't make me sound ungrateful.

I'm 14wks with #3 & I just bought a carton of newborn nappies (288), because the company I buy direct from were having an end of financial year sale & it only cost me $50 instead of $66. They are good nappies & I figure why not save money where I can. I don't think it's silly to buy in advance especially if it's on sale, & for me I'm lucky I already have a girl & boy so I'm set as far as the clothes & furniture are concerned.
