Amy - So glad to hear from you again, I was gettin' worried. I hope all is well now, hope to chat with you soon. Stef - thanks, any info you might be able to come up with would really help. I've looked up pregnancy edema on the net but they all say the same thing - drink lots of water and put your feet up. I do those things but apparently it isn't enough.

LOL! Hi guys, I'm caught up now on the old thread, looks like a good thing, too, since we are starting a new one! Well, welcome to all of our new July mommies! My name is Amy, I'm 31 with a surprise due on July 19th, and I have 2 boys now, 8 & almost 4. Right now I am 23 weeks (this Saturday, anyway) and am officially getting things ready for the baby now. I have cleaned out the nursery that my 3 yo just graduated from, and wiped down all the walls & woodwork, and my hubby steam-cleaned the carpet last night. I have to clean out & organize the closet in there (It's a big closet and we use half for our stuff) so I want to move all of my 3 yo's stuff out into the room he is now sharing with his brother. I also got out all of the baby stuff I stored away and the clothes & stuff and am going thru it all to see what I will be able to use this time. I have alot, I'm a big "saver" and I even found two giant boxes of diapers, size 1/2 and a big pack of newborn that we never used last time. Every little bit helps! Also, all the main things (Furniture, carseat/stroller, highchair, bouncers, ba__sinet, baby seats) are all in great shape, fairly neutral and still very current in style, so I'm really lucky in that sense. I must of had my thinking cap on because I thoroughly cleaned & wrapped and packed everything away in a very organized manner as we were done using it, and I'm usually the type to toss stuff up to the attic and forget about it! And our attic is not the best storage space, we live in a very old farmhouse, and we, shall I say, have visitors in the attic, lol! Well, I finally found my digital, so I'm going to get some bump pictures and pics of the nursery and update my piczo page, can't wait to get that done, I'm woefully behind everyone else! Also, I'm totally craving fruit now, I feel the need to get a watermelon. Hmmm, wonder why? LOL (Last time I read about cadbury eggs & jelly beans, and well, you saw what I did there!) Also, isnt it great to be preggers during these big holiday meals? Our families put out some crazy spreads with all kinds of food and now I can finally do justice when my & my belly sidle up to the table! (Of course, I'm starting to have trouble reaching the table cause the belly is in the way, but that is beside the point, lol!)

Amy - LOL that's why I stopped wearing white it gets all over the place. my belly is so big then it drips on my b___bs - We are having Sunday brunch at my monster in law's (Mandi I can relate to recovering from a visit with her) She is trying to be healthy so I am not sure how good it will be so we'll see....I have nothing from my other babies except come blankets that's it. I started getting stressed we only have about 6 pay periods between now and then but I know I can get a deal on my crib and changing table from garage sales so I guess I really just need a swing, carseat/stroller - I can get the other stuff later I would really like a vibrating chair I could even find one of those at a garage sale to I bet.

OMG - I have those stains all over the belly/b___b parts of most of my shirts too. Amy - sounds like you've been busy enough. Your sons are so adorable - the youngest looks just like you. The wedding pics are beautiful too! Tina - WTF? A healthy Easter dinner? It's time to pig out & dig in. You're gonna have to cook some GOOD things so you have it to eat when you get home!! LOL. Do you have any good consignments shops around your area? They are awesome places to look for baby stuff. If you are having trouble finding anything let me know - I may be able to help you out :0)

Hello Ladies sorry not on here much eork has been busy. My baby girl has been moving alot more lately i like it but not much when she is kicking my bladder he he DH put his head on my tummy and she kicked he was amazed :) We are good we had a doctors appt yesterday and she had a great heartbeat. i cant wait to hold my baby Alyssa.. .I havent bought a whole lot yet some diapers and clothes. I will probably start in about a month maybe 2 to start getting the big stuff.

QueenBeeMama - March 20

Lol, I keep wondering when I do the laundry, how did I get THAT on my shirt?? Lol, it's too funny. Ugh, healthy? WTH is that? Just kidding, I do try to eat more healthy stuff while pregnant, I luckily love fruits & veggies, I just also really love pizza & ice cream! :-) Thanks, Heather, my boys sure do look like their dad, but Noah (the youngest) really looks like me in my baby/toddler pictures. U can't compliment my kids enough, I sure do love it! Tina-isnt' it great that now is the season for big yard/garage sales? U will score big, just go EARLY and have cash, that is the biggest help to getting your stuff. Also, Heather's suggestion about consignment shops is a great one. I've bought & donated alot to them over the years, totally best places to snag good baby gear. Also, any friends with little ones you could do a swap meet with? My friends & I do a swap meet with accessories every now & then. I decided to throw a little party one year and did invites telling everyone to clean out their closets of any gently used purses, shoes, coats, costume jewelry, scarves, etc. and at first no one was into it, but then we ended up having the best time! We pulled numbers out of a hat and went in order and picked from each "table" where we sorted everything. It was a blast, it cleaned out our closets and we all scored great stuff for free. Gotta love that! Plus, we had lots of snacks and wine to get everyone in the mood, haha. We've done it 2 times so far and it was even better the second time.

Amy, that's a cool idea - I would love to do that sometime. It's a great way to just get everyone together too. Tom & I haven't gotten a chance to visit up in PA. lately - I hope Shady Maple is still standing. lol. We are planning on coming up in the next few weekends though. Hillary, good to hear your appt. went well. I love feeling those kicks - they never get old to me. I haven't bought anything yet either, just some odds & ends. I'm kinda waiting to see what I get at the shower then go from there.

heatherjene - March 20

Ooooohhh!!! I just went on my registry at Babies R Us, and someone has already bought us our stroller / carseat set - along with a gigantic box of diapers and blankets!! YAY

QueenBeeMama - March 20

Hi guys. I decided on a theme for the baby's room. "Carousel" I have some great ideas, and I have some collectible ceramic figurines from when I was a young girl that would look great on a shelf. Not to mention, I have Yellow/White stiped walls (like a big top tent) and a vintage circus themed baby bedding set that is pretty gender neutral. I'm so excited! I will def post some pics as I get it finished, I'm thinking of doing a couple small mural pics on the wall, too. I'm not THAT bad with a paint brush, so I think I could pull it off! I feel so silly for being so excited, I can't help myself though, I am gaga over baby right now, and glad to have something to be happy about right now.

heatherjene - March 20

I bet that will look really cute Amy, can't wait to see what you come up with :)

kolleen_caudillo - March 20

ok i dont know where everyone lives, but where i live (portland or) you cant tell at all that its the first day of spring. its cold, raining, and kinda dark out today. so i guess it is spring for the northwest. LOL!!! im noticing that im more sleepy now than i was in the first tri. im at school right now, its quiet in the room, except for the people typing. its makng me wanna fall asleep right now. ive only got like 30 more min then i get to go out into the sideways rain walk almost 1/2 mile to my bus, get on with evertyone and their mother, then get back out in the rain, to go home. im not complaining really, i just wish that we could afford another car right now. my dh takes it to work cuz he works across the river, which would be like 3 buses each way. i only have to take one to go to school. but hopefully when the weather gets better he will be able to get me car. YAH!!!
