Oh yay!!! We are both having girls!!!!! How fun! I so want to go buy something! I did buy a cute little dress a few weeks ago, you know just in case my intuitions were right. That is so great that you'll have 2 girls. I think every girl should have a sister.

Yay!!!!! I am so excited for all of you. Jennbj and ksmommie, congrats to both of you. That is so great to be expecting sweet girls. My husband and I had our 19 week u/s yesterday. Everything went well. The baby is still due Sept. 9, and is measuring "a couple of days ahead". It was so squirmy that we had to keep looking away each time we were warned. We want to avoid knowing the gender no matter what, so it was difficult with the wiggly little baby. She had to freeze frame feet and THEN let us look. It was so, so fun and exciting. We are very fortunate to have good technology my hospital, and also that I am an employee. At my request the u/s tech did a 4D scan for us. In the 3d, the baby actually looks like a baby, not just a skeleton. They can see all the soft tissue, and it actually looks just like a baby==just premature and skinny. I could see in such fine detail that the nose is like mine, and the browline and lips like my husbands. So far! So, so fun. The 4th dimension is just "real time". So instead of just printout photos we got a DVD in real time of the 3D u/s. The baby kept moving around and opening it's mouth.... stretching, sticking its tongue out... opening and closing its fists... even had little expressions. Now my husband and I feel so much closer to the baby. The fibroid has almost entirely died off, so the pain is getting a lot better than last week. The OB doc said I'm over the peak pain period, but it will still be bad enough to require pain meds for a couple weeks or more. She thinks optimistically I'll be out of work another month. I MISS WORK!!!! Crazy, huh? Sbea, please keep us all up to date on the amnio. You must be really nervous. We avoided the genetic testing they kept offering us for several reasons. Remember, the ultrascreen and the quad marker only show increased odds of having a baby with Downs. If you don't have family members with the syndrome, it is much less likely. I'll be praying for you! Keep your eyes on that beautiful prize we'll get at the end. Whether the babies are perfectly healthy or have special needs, we are so fortunate to be parents.

Just thought I would let you know that I the Anmio went well. No symptoms, which is great news!!

EricaB, sounds like your U/S was a lot of fun. I wish I could have the will power you do to not find out, but I felt it was a girl and I have 2 boys, so I didn't want to be unprepared with stuff. Sbea, glad the amnio went well. When do you get results back? Do they make you take it easy after?

sbea - April 19

Hey Jenn- The results take two to three weeks. So we have a while to wait. I feel more relaxed now that I had the Anmio. I can actually sleep because I know that I will have the results. That is all I want. Well this is my last week at work but I have a ton of work to do! I have training and packing. We are also moving this weekend. I am so glad my mom is coming out now as of tomorrow. It will be such a blessing. Well I got to go.

I hope your time off work is more fruitful than mine has been, sbea! I am still off on disability, but have nothing to show for this month at home. Let us know as soon as you get the amnio results!

Hi everybody. Sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I get everybody's posts in my e-mail so I've been keeping up with everyone. Lots of girls going around! We have our second girl on the way, with the tentative name of Charlotte Ann. I am almost 20 weeks and I feel the baby a LOT. Much more than I did my first daughter at this point since I have a posterior placenta this time and with her it was anterior. I'm glad everything seems to be going well with everybody. Halfway there! And over halfway there for some of us. :)

Hello ladies! I am new to this forum, heck I'm new to all of this. I am on my third baby and have never joined a pregnancy forum before but it seems fun. I am due Sept 23rd and to date I still don't know what I am having. I had a US in April and May 1st and they could not tell what I was having but they think they saw a p___s each time but again not sure. I am so impatient...I have two beautiful boys but I have this longing for a little girl and that is what I feel I am having but my DH says it's another boy which will be great too but ahhhhhh I just can't wait to find out!! I took an inteligender test and it said girl and the Chinese calendar said boy and two online tests I took said 50/50 (duh, I already know that)! Anyway congrats to all of you and best wishes!!!!
