i wrote about this last year beforei misscarried and there was alot of heated opinions about it .as here in australia there is a baby bonus of $5000 per child born.and now that we have new prime minister he forced the payment over 13wks as of the 1st of january .my opinion i think that is a good idea as babys were getting used and abused just to recieve the one off payment which is sad.just would like to know your opinions on this.cheers

I too live in Australia & think that FAR too many people like teenagers, junkies, gamblers etc were having babies just to get the money. I think it is a good idea that they changed it, if you can't afford a baby without the baby bonus, you shouldn't be having one in the first place!!

i agree big time/ in the last 4 yrs new born baby were getting dumped at hospitals and bus stops and most of them were'nt even given a chance it makes me so upset .
