Well I tried to go out of town this weekend and we made it about 20 minutes away from the house. I was having braxton hicks really bad and sharp pains in my v____al area. The driving hurt. So my husband turned around and took me and my girls home. He was very understanding about the whole thing but I felt bad for the girls they wanted to go see thier grandma. Does anyone else get these pains? I felt like such a baby

How is everyone doing?

Hi there, I wrote earlier and just wanted to let you guys know, I am still on bedrest and spotting. I am now 15 weeks, however, the baby is fine and growing steadily with a healthy heartbeat. Still no s_xual intercourse (been 5 weeks). I guess I have a hemorage (pocket of blood near the placenta). They didn't see it with the first ultrasound. I am supposed to take it easy, no lifting of 10 lbs, no s_xual intercourse, and lite walking. Anyone else with a hemorage?

Well I thought I was doing well and I guess for the most part I am doing okay. Yesterday i had an active day and this morning at 4am I had bright red bleeding. What a bummer I went 35 days with no bleeding. The weird thing is that the only other time I went so long with out bleeding was in Feb. and it was also a 35 day stretch. WOW. Maybe I forget to pray and get over confident and this is God's way of reminding me how precious life is? Who knows. Well you all take care and dont get over confident like I do and hurt yourselves. God bless Jenn

Well yesterday was an interesting day. I went to the labor and delivery part of the hospital because I was having bleeding. I ended up having no answers about the bleeding as usual but my contractions were 2 to 3 minutes apart and they nurses got worried. I got a shot in my arm and that slowed the contractions, however i am on complete bed rest now because they want me to make it 2 to 4 more weeks. If I delievered right now they said the baby would be in the ICU for 2 months or so. I need to buy atlest 2 weeks and it will help the baby tremendously. Pray for me. I have not had any bleeding today so far. How is everyone else doing?

I just started bleeding a week ago, at 14 weeks. It started out light and spotty, but then I gushed blood on Tues. and had to go to the ER. The baby looks fine on ultrasound. I'm just wondering, if there are so many of us bleeding, and people have been having babies for millions of years, why doctors are so clueless about this? Anyway, I'm doing better now but still on bedrest. I hope everyone's babies are okay. It's so scary.

Becca, I have been told many times they dont know why I am bleeding, however I have been doing it so long that my doctor can finally feel comfortable in my situation to tell me she feels like I have weak blood vessels on my cervix and if they errupt then I notice the bleeding, This does make sence because through out all my research I have heard over and over again that our bodies while pregnant double the amount of blood flow and a great majority of blood is in our v____al area. I also believe doctors dont tell you this at first because if you are not extra cautious and you do have something else going on it could cause problems for the baby. The key is that this is a worning sign for you and others like you to take it easy let someone else do the house work and yard work and take extra time off of work. I am now ( thank God) 30+ weeks pregnant and I was taken off of work at 11 weeks and I honestly believe it helped my baby girl. She could now with help survive otside of me and I had many doubts that this day would come. I pray everyday for one more day and I than God for the days he has already given me. What ever happens is ment to happen.

A close friend of mine had un explained bleeding throughout her pregnancy. Turns out the placenta grew through her uterus and attached to her bladder and another organ (i'm drawing a blank on which one). She and baby are fine. :o)

I had bleeding in my 19th week with no cramping. It was so sudden, I was in the bathroom and looked down and saw blood. My husbans immediately called the doctor, but the office was closed, so he called the hospital. The hospital said it was normal as long as there were no cramps, but if we really really wanted to, we can go to make sure. I called my doctor first thing Monday morning and they said the same thing. That I didn't need to come in and as long as there is no cramping it is normal. I don't understand how this is normal, or why there is no clear explination. This is so scary!

Jenny, I was just checking to see any updates from the regulars. I saw that you are on (Terbuteline???) shots for preterm labor! Just to let you know I was too given shots several times. I was also taking it orally every six hours. And I went almost 4 weeks. And when they did the C-section at 33 weeks, it was because the heart rate of one of the babies was dropping (having twins and being tiny left very little space for them). Or else I could have gone a lot further. So keep your feet up and rest. And keep taking the meds as told. You will do fine and remember each day inside of you is a boon to your baby. I pray for you. Waiting to hear good news from you (not so soon!!). Good Luck!!!

Jenny - May 3

I only had the one shot of the labor stopping meds. (cant think of the name). and they did not last long because that night after I retruned home I had moree contractions and I had them really bad the next day ( sat) but as of today I feel pretty good - knock on wood. I get a few but for the most part they have subsidded. I hope I last a few more weeks. I goto the doctor tomorrow and well see if the contractions are dialating me????

Jenny - May 4

Well I went to the doctor this morning and I am not dialated at all. this is good sence I am 30+ weeks (only) and the doctor ran a fetal fibrosis test on the baby, this is a v____al swab and it tells the doctor if my contractions are real or just braxton hicks. the test came back negative which means the I am having braxtons not labor. YIPPEE this is good news and the test is good for 2 weeks. As far as I am concerned they can run this test every 2 weeks I will pay for it. It sure does releave my mind.. God bless you all and take care.
