Hi all, glad everyon is well. My spotting has stopped now for over a week! How exciting! I have been feeling quite well, and my belly seems to really be bigger. I am 17 & 4. Prachi - how are things with you? Are you showing quite a bit? I go or my US in 6 days!!!

Michelle, I am fine. I experienced Brownish watery discharge ( 2-3 table spoons ) last week. I don't know what was that, I also suspect leakage of water from the Baby's Sac... I was to visit Dr for UltraSound next day but it then stopped so didn't go for a visit. Later I had little watery discharge with the gap of 2 days.. My visit to Dr is scheduled on 28th. Lets see what he says then.. My email address is prachichourey(at)yahoo(dot)com. Mail me and sometime we may chat.. We share same Due date .. I am excited.. Hi and Best wishes to Pauline, Tara, Dara and all my friends here..

Congratualtions to everyone as one more day progresses!! I just rented a Doppler ... it should be here this afternoon. I'm supposed to fly in another week and I am really nervous about it too! You're all in my prayers!! This website has really been a life saver for me!

After mutiple consultations with the doctor and a level 2 ultrasound(where they measured the blood inflow to the baby and the amount baby's body is circulating - some medical terms could not understand much), I am told that I need no worry and asked not to do any work that stress the abdomen, this is only to avoid aggrevate the problem. I was relieved in the morning after the US. But now I am having a heavy gush of blood with large clots...tension again. I think the tension would accompany me all through the 9 months.

Michelle - September 24

Nitha, I had an episode of very heavy gushing blood at 13 wks. I thought for sure it was over! I went to the ER, and found out all was fine. I had a spot on my uterus and they could see where the bleeding was coming from. This may be the case for you as well. I would definitly call the doctor though and see if he wants you to come in. Better to be safe right. Im sure allis fine if you just had your US.

This is so strange my girlfriend is 13 weeks pregnant, and the same thing is happening to her. a week ago she had a light pink discharge for 2 days then it stopped. 3 Days ago it started again, but is a darker pink now. The doctor says not to worry about it if there is no pain, but how can we not worry?

David - September 27

I would definetly get it checked out. Make an appt. w/ your doc and have him use the doppler & hear the heartbeat - for reasurance. This way you will feel at peace until you have an ultrasound. Im sure all is fine though. Good luck to you and your girlfriend:)

Hi, all... I am so thankful that I happened on this site. About 12 days ago at 14 weeks, I experienced a sudden gush of bright red blood that continued to bleed heavily for about five hours. I rushed to the emergency room at my local hospital where they did an ultrasound -- all looked fine so they sent me home. But I was still bleeding, so my mother told me to call my Dr., who is a__sociated with another hospital, even though it was midnight by then. The Dr. had me come to her hospital right away and I spent the next two days there. I have been on bedrest since then and the bright red has been replaced by brown. Sometimes large amounts, sometimes little scraggly bits. The thing I wanted to add to this -- if you happen to be in the emergency room and your doc is unavailable, insist on seeing the obstetrician on call. I didn't do that at our first hospital visit that night and had I not talked to my mother who absolutely insisted that I get over myself and call my doc, I might have been worse off. Thank you all so much for your wisdom and shared experience. It is so rea__suring that you are doing better.

oops... I was so eager to post, I forgot to add the diagnosis for me. We've had four ultrasounds in the past 12 days and in the last one found a little spot they called a hemorrhagea about 2 cm. big on the outside of the placenta that has been bleeding. They don't know why, and what to do to prevent it happening again, but that is apparently where the blood came from. If anyone else has more info about these little things, I'd like to hear it. Thanks.

Hi Paige - my heart goes out to you. You will see ( mark my words) that the next time you will have a beautiful baby, and throughout your pregnancy you won't even have to look at this website because everything will be beautiful. Still that doesn't help to make you feel any better now though... Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. xxx

Hi April - Hi Prachi, Tania, Michelle, Nitha, Dara, April and all. Hope everyone is feeling good. I have now entered my 20th week and am very excited, but still a little apprehensive about going to the toilet. I'm always scared of what I might see! But I'm happy to report that my bleeding and brown discharge has stopped. With every little niggle and pain that I feel I still get a bit worried though, but I guess that doesn't end, even after we give birth. Being a mother/parent means that we will always want the best for our babies, right? And worry that all is well? April I was originally diagnosed with a similar 'haematoma' that my Obstetrician saw on the outside of my placenta after I started bleeding at 13 weeks. Even after the flow slowed down she said that I might have more episodes of bleeding until the haematoma all comes out. And she was right. I started bleeding again for a few days when I was about 15 and a half weeks. It was such a scary time. Since then I've been walking slower and generally slowing down and being more careful. And in my last Ultrasound there was no sign of the haematoma - it had all come out. I agree with you April - this website has been a life and sanity saver! Good, positive thoughts to us all - Cheers Pauline.

Hey Prachi - how's everything going with you? Hope all is well. I've been thinking about you. Cheers, Pauline.

Tara - September 28

I have good news too. I am 14 weeks tomorrow and haven't had any bleeding in a week! I'm a little worried because I have a business trip planned for next week, but the Dr seems to think it will not be a problem, so off to Omaha I go. I rented one of the ultrasonic heart rate monitors ... it's absolutely awesome and very rea__suring!!
