ok so i,ve just entered my second trimester, im 12 weeks today! so this is quite discusting but a few weeks ago i had really bad constipation the doctor gave me some medicine which hasnt helped its not about 4 weeks later and everytime i use the bathromm i bleed, i mean i thinki ts beacause of how big my stools are atm bacuse im so constipated i cant go most of the time so it all saves up, so i think its making me rip a little but today i eneded up crying so i checked what was going on and i have a little bit of skin so now im worried its the begening of piles or what? my boyfriend is advising i go to the docs beacuse of how much blood there is sometimes even after like 5hours after i,ve been but i really dont want to go as i dont want fingers up my bum or to even show him and i know it sounds silly as i,ll be giving birth in 6months and there going to see alot more but jeesh i,d like to keep my dignity a bit longer lol, well i just thought i,d see what you guys thought before i go

This is not a pleasant subject:) lol Sometimes (especially being pregnant and constipated) you will get hemroids; these can be inside or out, so you may not feel or see them...If irritated or if inflamed you will bleed. Usually the amount of blood looks like a lot more than it really is. Maybe if a stool softener did not help prunes may be the way to go. Do not "push" or force yourself to do #2...I would try prunes or a fiber drink and some preperation H and see if that does the trick before having someone put their fingers in there... (LOL) I had this issue with my first pregnancy and it freaked me out and I thought something was seriously wrong. But it turns out I was just trying too hard...Just drink a LOT of fluid and take it easy. Maybe your doctor can suggest a diet that will ease up your system?

thanks keldalynn i know this is not a pleasnet subjest lol but i thought i,d rather tell people on the internet instead of my doc first lol! i thought maybe hemeriods but i thought you dont get them untill 3rd tri from all the pressure? its still not better i have seriouslt tried everything i can thing off its like pooing gla__s! lol! i dont strain as its to painfull i just have to sit there and kind of let nature take place lol its got to the point where im only going onve a week! i think its building up so much that when i do go its so big that its tears me! i mean sometimes theres also little clots in the blood but im so terrified to go to the docs!! sorry for the tmi

As for TMI don't worry about it, we are all here going through pregnancy together & should be able to talk about stuff without worrying about if others find it gross or not. Like Keldalynn said, try drinking LOTS of liquids (water is best) & make sure you are getting plenty of fibre in your diet. Try not to use laxatives that aren't natural or fibre based, as they can be harmful to the baby. If drinking lots & having fibre don't work, I would definitely go to the doctor & find out for sure if it's pregnancy related or not.

I am having the same issue at the moment and I am only 21 weeks. It sucks a lot...and then I feel uncomfortable after. Its even worse when I am at work and it happens.

angel: i went through that too. because of the extra blood we have in our bodies right now, we swell everywhere. including *there*. and if we get constipated, then it's perfectly normal to bleed. and if you think about it, our skin up in there isn't exactly tough like an elbow or knee, so once it's ripped, it will bleed until it's happy about it. i would say try eating something with oats in it (we have a cereal here called cheerios) or something that has plenty of fiber. every day. whole wheat toast helps too. fruits can help aswell. those types of food help you go more regularly and help keep the stuff coming out your bum a little bit more pregnant friendly. you're fine girly!

lol thanks guys, teddy we also have cherrios here lol im eating a bowl right now i,ve been drinking lots of juice as i cant stand water but i drink water at work as recently im thirsty all the time, i think im guna try i different diet and hold the docs off unless it gets worse, i mean if i thought it could be putting my baby in danger then i would but i dont see how it would be at this point e586467 the laxitive stuff my doc gave me is pregnancy safe as otherwise my doc wouldnt of given it to me i mean it does say the average adult should take 7 spoonfulls a day and im only aloud to take two, no wonder its not working lol, its just sad that everytime i go i reminds me what it would feel like to give birth lol thats how much it hurts that i sit on the loo crying that i dotn want to give birth haha

I was reading a litle more and found some info that suggested doing more excersise. It said the more physical movement the more regular you wil be. I also thought maybe a fiber powder mixed in juice may do the trick. I hope things move along for you! LOL

There is aloso a stool softener called Colace, which is safe in pregnancy. It's not a laxitive, but it makes it easier to go when you have to. :) Hope that helps!

So I haven't pooped in about 2 days....I know tmi but I am in pain because of it. I know I have to go but I just can't seem too. Also because it hurts a lot and of the bleeding. I have tried eating fiber but nothing seems to work. I just feel uncomfortable all the time :(
