Cat- I am down about 9-11lbs right now ONLY because I was sick the first tri. Murph- I really think you should call the doc. You have mentioned a few things that make me feel like you should do it to be safe. By the way...what to both of you ladies do for a living that work at home?

Mrs. White - Exciting! You'll have your very own little pumpkin. :) EJ - I'm a business consultant and work mostly with client/partner relationships. There's some travel involved but all in all it's not a bad set up. I ended up leaving a messge at my OBs office just after they closed tonight. Hopefully I can get in for a quick check up tomorrow morning. If anything it will at least ease my mind. Wish me luck. Thanks for the input.

I'm an a___lyst. I work for the largest national Dairy company and manage the largest retail giant in the world (I'll let you guess who that is). I've actually been doing this on and off for about 7-8 years... but took a little break when I had my daughter. Now, I get to do my job full-time from home! Murph - I know how you're feeling! Around the 13th - 15th week, I felt that way too. You explained it perfectly - like you've done too many sit-ups. I did a little internet research and those pains are pretty normal, although I didn't experience it with my first one. I would def. wait for that call from your ob to be sure everything is okay! Just a few days ago, my sciatica has been acting up - ouch! It comes and goes - no warning! I've been going for my walks around lunch time because once evening rolls around, the sciatica gets worse for whatever reason!

Congrats Mrs White!!!!! :) Very interesting Cat and Murph. I am always very interested in what others do. I am in business so I am always curious to see what other women do in business. I just took this job in Jan and the travel is only about 15-20% with this one so that isn't that bad although I do have a trip in July that I am REALLY dredding because it is 1 week and I don't want to do that! That is a long time away from my babe but I am trying to get my SIL to come out with her daughter so I can bring my son and she can watch them during the day! We will just pay for her to come out there...just waiting back to her if she is game! I actually turned a job down where Chicago would have been my main territory Cat but that was 85-90% travel and my son was 4.5mo when I turned it down. My husband and I contemplated that back and forth but his job is very demanding and he travels internationally a lot and we just felt it wouldn't be a good fit for us at this time which was SO disappointing because it was my dream job. OH well! Family is FAR more important!! Ok Murph I am anxious to hear about what the doc says. Ladies I am dying here. I haven't been to see the doc in 5 weeks and don't have my appt for 3 more weeks. He said "No need to come in until about 7-8 weeks from now after your 20 week. If you feel like you want to hear the heartbeat or just talk feel free to come in earlier" well I am not just going to call them and be like "Hey can I come chat about nothing?" But I just live for those appts you know? 3 more weeks feel like an eternity!!!

hi ladies. Two nights in a row when I've laid down for the night my uterus has gotten rock hard. I am 18 weeks today. Has anyone else experienced anything like this, I don't recall it happening during my 1st pregnancy, but that was also 9yrs. ago

Braxton Hicks JN? Sounds like it to me. I am not sure though. The only time I ever experienced the rock hard thing was during BH. I haven't gotten them yet

EJ- how would I know if it's B.H. or not? I did not feel any cramping or pain of any sort. & is 18 weeks too early for them?

JN- I never felt any cramping with mine either. I got mine at 20 weeks so a little later than that. I think that if it is just stomach tightening and releasing that is it but if you are concerned at all I would call. Actually there is a thread in the 2nd tri going around right now about this

You know how people obsessively count their calories?? I'm obsessivley counting my fiber grams! Geez... I'm up to about 35-40 grams of fiber a day and I swear it's not working! I was super regular prior to getting pregnant. I know, we're pretty much all in the same boat and nothing we can do because of the vitamins we're taking, but geez... you'd think that 35-40 grams of fiber would do the trick! I'm just venting - unless someone has a mircale poop machine?? LOL...
