I am 21 weeks pregnant with a boy. For as long as I can remember, I have loved the name Ryan. Its always been one of my top 3 names. But, when I call my son this, it just feels weird. When I hear the name on tv, I still love it. Is this normal? My husband and I don't agree on any other names, but it feels akward calling my son Ryan

The same thing happened to us. We loved several girls names but none of them felt right to call our little girl. It took me until about 30 weeks to finally decide on the name Claire. It's important to keep looking around to find a name that fits your little one. I'm due in 2 weeks now and hope that when she comes out the name still feels right. When you find the right name you'll know it. Just give it some time and explore some more possibilities together.

dont go with a name your not 100% sure with. we all love alot of names but wether we would call our babies that is a differant story. as sarah21 said you will know when a name is the right one. you will find a name you both agree on. it might not be a straight away love of the name but sometimes names do grow on you. im pregnant with my 2nd boy and the name Lachlan poped up and its not that i didnt like it, i never really heard it or thought of that name, since my husband likes that name alot i starting thinking about it more and as every day went but it suited and fits great with us. it also sounds good with our whole family... my 1st son is Jayden [Jay for short] and our 2nd son will be Lachlan [Locky] for short and i love it now!
