i had a ultrasound done at 19 weeks and was told that my baby had a cyst on his head i was of course concerned because the dr said that it could be a sign of a chromosome problem.Long story short i had the amnio done and later found no chromosome problems at all. I had a ultrasound done 2 weeks later and there were not a cyst to be found so miracles do happen and to find out everything was ok so dont worryi am now 22 weeks along,

My co-worker had the same thing about 9 years ago. I guess its fluid (maybe extra fluid)in the brain when its not completely formed. When the brain gets more developed the fluid thins out, but she freaked out and thought there was going to be something wrong with her baby. He is now 9 years old and completely normal.

I read about these for some reason, though I've not had an issue.
They're called Choroid plexus cysts. They can mean nothing most of the time. But when seen in conjunction with other 'markers' they may do a more advance US screening.

I was also told there was a small cyst on my baby's brain. This is my third pregnancy and I have never heard of this until now. Tomorrow I go for a Level II Ultrasound to find out more. My doctor didn't seem to concerned but wanted to follow up with another Ultrasound. I'm trying not to worry but my stress level just keeps rising.
