How are you feeling?

Hey there - I'm at work - my throat is killing me and my head is pounding. I just read in my "what to expect" book that antibiotics are safe to take in pregnancy and that sinusitis can get really bad in pregnant women because of the already constricted nasal pa__sages. So now I'm p__sed at the dr at the urgent care clinic last week who wouldn't help me. I'm calling my dr today. I'll be sure to drink lots of water!!! It just tastes nasty cuz I can't really taste anything right now. :( At least my sister is nearby though and she can watch my dd during the day if my husband can't stay home. He just missed a week for his flu - and a couple days to help me out last time. :) What a year it's been! If I'm feeling ok, is Saturday a good time to do the babiesRus thing? Not sure what my week is going to look like yet - Friday might be open too.

Hey, about the congestion. Get some Saline nose spray. It is non medicated and really helps. I didn't use it with my first pregnancy and suffered horribly. This time I got smart and other that the sinus infection I haven't had a problem at all. You can buy the stuff at any drug store and I think at the grocery store also. It is just saline, but for some reason it really helps. As far as getting together, friday would work. I can't on saturday because we have to get ready for my MIL to come the next evening. I am thinking that about 10am would be great if you can manage it. It takes me about an hour to get there and the same to get home, so I would like to miss traffic both ways. We could just meet inside the store by the registry desk. I'll be the one in the red leather cat suit. LOL. Anyway, does this work for you?

hey there - I've tried the saline stuff - I love it! But it's not helping right now. Most of the congestion doesn't feel like it's even in my nose - kind of all over my head. It makes my ear hurt, my teeth hurt and my head. :( My throat is so weird too. It hurts off and on all day. Can't say I've had a throat problem like this before. 10am friday works for me! We'll just have to check in the night before to make sure I'm not sick - hope not!

Why don't you take 800milligrams of Tylenol PM so you get a good nights rest. When your teeth hurt like that it is definitely sinus related. The root systems of the upper teeth are at times just a millimeter from the sinus floor and that is why it hurts so much. I hope the doctor will give you an antibiotic. I know that anything in the Pennicillin family is safe for pregnancy. This is gross, but, tell the doctor that the mucus is brown and green and that you have little or no sense of smell. That should prompt him to give you something. Feel better. Hopefull we will meet on friday morning.

hey - yes,it's still good! Sorry, I've been out all day. Had to take my dd for her 18mo appt - then nap for a few hours as my sinus's are killing me. :) I meant to call you - and now I'm getting ready to watch my American Idol and LOST. :) 10am, babies r us - by the registry?

It was great meeting you. Madalyn had a great time at the restaurant, I am sorry Rachel wasn't so happy. I felt bad that she was so scared. Anyway, I would love to get together again sometime. We could go to the supermall this time and have lunch somewhere a little more tame. Maddy slept on the way home and I had to put her to bed early because she was so whiney and exhausted with no nap. Hey there -yeah, we had fun too. :) Rachel pa__sed out in the car and when we got home ( it only takes 15-20 minutes) she wouldn't sleep. She played in her crib for 45 minutes then slept till 4pm. We went over to my dads house for his monthly "game night" and there were about 10 little girls - all older except for one, and she was in heaven, running after them. :) She was tired though - got cranky and cried over everything - not her usual self. Maybe the gorillas freaked her out too much. haha...what an interesting lunch for her, poor thing. I thought for sure she'd like it. Well, have fun with your MIL - hope you can get some stuff done. We will definately have to do the supermall soon. I always need to shop for stuff. :)

Are fridays usually good for you? I am free the 17th thru the 19th and the 21st. I think you said your hubby was going to be away that week. Just let me know what is best for you with your work schedule. The Super Mall would be great because there is a big play area. We could go to Red Robin for lunch, I think poor Rachel would like that a lot more. lol.

HELP!! My MIL is driving me nuts. Can't explain right now, she is only five feet from me.

haha...sorry, I shouldn't laugh. :) Hey, I think friday the 21st is fine for me. Should be fun. I just took my glucose test today and I feel like c___p...all that sugary stuff messes me up. Yuck. Hope it comes back fine, which I'm sure it will...watching American Idol - love the show. Have you gotten anything done with your "help" around??

Dangit, I just wrote a whole big thing about my MIL, and I lost it. Anyway, I'll tell you all about my hell on the 21st. It will be nice to get together again. Anyway, I know the glucose screen is awful. I told my OB that I wanted to do the jelly beans this time instead of the glucola. I heard it was just 18 jelly beans of a certain flavor. I can stomach that way better than that gross thick drink. I think I have to do it at my next OB appointment. I need to call the office and see if I need to pick them up, or buy them on my own. I have gotten some things done a lot easier than I would have, but, at the expense of my sanity. I really just wish she would go home in the morning. As soon as we drop her off at the airport on sunday morning we are going to my mothers for a few hours. Oh and they just opened a Gymboree outlet at the Super Mall , it has only been there for a week, they also have a Carters outlet as well.

sorry it's been hell - glad you didn't send her my way! :) I think there is something wrong with this site today. I had typed something in another post and it had issues loading and didn't post it either -and some others had problems too. woo hoo-Gymboree! We got the crib from my friend but I have NO idea where I'm going to set it up. I think I'm going to switch my dd to the spare bedroom since it's bigger - and then have them both share for a while. When they get a bit bigger, I'll be used to the smaller space as a guest room/office and then can slowly ... make it a kids room. :) We really should have bought a 4 bedroom but I loved the area and it's close to my sister - and I was in a hurry to get going on a house since I was 5 mo pregnant at the time. Got to run to my dr appt - see how fat I've gotten. :) I think I've gained 30 pounds according to MY scale. I don't want to see theirs!!! Oh, with those glucose drinks, try drinking it with a straw if you can't get the jelly beans.
