hey rc,, its soooo healthy to have OJ..im so hating it and the only juice i can have now is carrot juice lol..i've always liked it but i guess ot suits me now since its not sweet..dunno. the only liquids i can get down r COLD water and carrot juice :) healthy at least :p congrats for ur 20 weeks mark! im following u in few days :)
korey, thats lots of events in the coming period..thats fun so time will pa__s by so quickly..we usually have baby showers AFTER the baby is born.. this is the trend where i come from..everyone gets to see the baby and we have special sweets thats usualy made for this occa__sion. with my dd, i couldnt have a big baby shower although she was my first cz my grandfather pa__sed away 5 days after she was born..but i got tons of presents regardless :D ppl came to congratulate us on our daughter without a baby shower.. i have most of the things i will just need clothes..we can reuse the new born clothes however cz they're mostly yellow and white.
something hapened with me today at the mall while i was with a friend and her mom.. we had breakfast at this coffeeshop and then we walked for around 30 minutes and then we had to wait for her mom so we stood in front of a shop for around 3 minutes..then i started to sweat and feel my fingers were cool and numb..my ears were as if i had ear plugs in them and i felt sooo ligh headed..i told my friend dont freak out and i sat by the shop..things started to get darker and sarker when her mom came to rescue me and took me inside the shop where they gave me a chair to sit on and some cold water and a chocolate bar..i felt much better after drinking water and went back to normal after having the chocolate bar..what do u think it was? dehydration? blood sugar drop or low blood pressure? i just had my dr appt 2 days ago and my bp was fine as always..however, im always n the low side of bp and had this happen to me before when i wasnt pregnant so i was just wondering how i can avoid this..cz poor dd was scared and started crying but good my friend comforted her and i was able to hug her and know that i was ok and nothing bad happening..thanks for reading my loooong post :) take carexxx

That's scary Lucy! I have no idea what that would be. I've never experienced anything like that before. I'd go to the doc and explain that to him. See what he says.
I'm working today. Also, want to go check out the store and see what they have in the way of cheese dip for nacho's. Makiing chili for the family for supper. It will sit in the crockpot all day simmering. So keeping the kids home from school was a baaaad idea. They just drove me crazy all darn day! 20wk scan tomorrow!

Hi Ladies....22 weeks today :) Baby is moving like crazy now, everytime I drink Dr Pepper the movement is insane lol. I went to the midwife yesterday and they tried to use the fetoscope to hear the baby. The midwifery student couldnt hear anything and when the midwife went to hear, the baby let out a huge kick and pushed the fetoscope away. I laughed cause it felt so weird and it was in a spot that the baby has never kicked before. Two days ago I attempted to go off diclectin..the first day went great. Yesterday I felt good too until the afternoon when I started to get a bad headache and threw up my dinner. So back on diclectin I go :S I was soooo hoping that I could go off it but its better than the alternative i guess :) How is everyone doing?

Hey Sadie, glad you came back. Did we figure out where you live? I can't remember and don't wanna read back.
Lucy-I never made it to the store yesterday. Todays the day though. Chilli and nacho's here I come!!! I'm going to bake some orange poppyseed muffins right now though and then after the kids go to school I'll go to the gym. Got my ultrasound today! Sadie, how soon after you drink the Dr.Pepper does baby start going crazy? I'm thinking of drinking an energy drink a while before my scan. Do you guys think I'm NUTS? I'm not sure if I will or not though.

Hey everyone Lucy I'm glad you're ok. Saidie sorry you have to get back on the meds. And Whooo hoooo RC, I heard you shouldn't drink any of that stuff because baby may not be still enough to check all the important parts like the heart that is a really detailed part they have to be exact when examing. But then you don't want baby to be sleep either so I don't know your guess is as good as mines. Well I have a question do Muslims have something equal to or the same as a Godparent. And if so what is it called?

I have no idea about your muslim q Korey. And I didn't drink the energy drink after all. I decided just to go for a coke instead. And the baby was sure a mover and a shaker! I'm so glad I didn't go for the V! So everything is absolutely perfect. I have a 14oz little miracle who is perfect in every way. I couldn't be happier :) We didn't get a super good pic in the 3D but the doc recorded the whole ultrasound and put it on disc for me so I have over 30 min of the baby I can watch any time I want! And he said I could come back at 28 wks for a better face/body pic. The baby is just not fat enough yet and the skin is too translucent to see a lot of detail on the 3d for now. Besides he sure was moving alot too. Next time I probably wont bother with the coke either. I didn't find out the s_x but the doc told dh when I went to empty my bladder. Oh, and speaking of, hear this...Ok, so just as I was going in I said, "I think I should go empty half b/c from past experience I know I'm too full right now." Too easy right? NOT! I'm just peein away and I remember, oh c___p Chel! You gotta stop! Easier said than done this time! I try to shut off the waterworks by standing upright and using all my muscle power and am like peein all over the toilet seat and the floor and even some on my foot! I'm laughin thinking how its never been this difficult.
Even as I type this I laugh. What a moron! Anyways, enough for tonite. Gotta read and catch some zzzz's. Adios!

hiiiiiiiiii.. sadie lol i bet it was fun the baby kicking :) wait till the kicks get stronger and stronger :) with my dd, sometimes i would get irregular shapes of my tummy cz things will be poking out like her foot or hands :p so so funny. dont worry about not feeling well without the meds, at least they make u feel good :)
korey-- thanks darling, yeah im feeling better now although i feel tired easily. and i guess i know why now.. i got a call from my dr's clinic this morning with my blood test results from saturday. i have a low hemoglobin count so my dr prescribed for me some iron tablets to take. i will relate what happened with me 2 days ago to this..i'll be seeing her in 2 weeks cz we're going to visit my inlaws in jordan and we'll be away for 2 weeks or so and i dont wanna be too late to seeing my dr :)
oh and regarding ur question, we dont have god parents no :) some ppl would just say that a close friend or a relative is a god father/mother for their kids but nothing official :)
rc-- glad u got to see ur baby on a 3d yay!!! bet it was so much fun! im going around 26 weeks to have good pix of my baby :D its pretty expensive in here and i dont have insurance to cover maternity so i'll be doing it only once. lol about the peeing thing, too embarrasing :p
im 20 weeks today!! WOOHOOO

Hey. Had a long day. I don't know what's up with me but my tummy has felt tight all afternoon and evening. Its very uncomfortable and I've been laying down in bed for almost 4 hours now. I have a Dr. appt in the morning. Can't wait. I've got Rh disease and I've slipped under the radar which I was afraid was going to happen when I switched from my oh so very capable IVF doctor's care to a reg GP who was supposed to have arranged for me to see a specialist at least 2 months ago. No one's taking this seriously who should be. I'm kind of anxious about the whole thing. Anyways, we'll see what happens tomorrow. I'm also going to be having an amnio at about 24wks so I need someone (the spec) to get on the ball! If something preventable happens to my baby I'm gonna be a big bad mean momma!

Hey Girls,
Sorry I haven't been on lately. I got some bad news at my scan on Monday, they told me my baby has bilateral talipes otherwise known as club foot (twisting of the foot). As you can Imagine I was gutted. I felt so sorry for Scott too as it was the first time he had seen our baba. I don't know why they never picked this up on my first scan at 16wks. However I have to go back on Monday again for another scan. Seemingly it is something that is quite easily sorted and doesn't always require an operation. But I have just been thinking why us. I mean is this selfish of me?? We weren't even trying for a baby this happened by mistake, but I have been getting myself so geared up and excited. Now this news has just hut me like a lead balloon!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scott has been so so good and so strong for me, checking up on me and keeping my spirits up. So has my folks, I love them all. I guess I just have to be strong for me and my little one till I find out what they are going to hit me with on Monday! No I still don't know what I'm having but talipes is more common in boys than girls.
On a brighter note I have decided on two names, Murray for a boy and Layla for a girl! Murray was decided cause after we got the bad news, Scott said to me that the 'Baba was our ray of sunshine'!!! And Murray was always an option because it's scott's middle name!
Anyway's I am sorry for bringing some dull news to our happy forum. I really hope your all doing well!!!!!!
RC - how did you get on at your docs? Did they advise you what's been up?
LUCY - The 3d and 4d scans here are really really expensive they are from £190 - £300. I might still have to book one as I have been told they are amazing and so clear.
Take Care all xxx

tracey sweetheart im so sorry for the news u got at the scan :( its so sweet of scott and ur parents to be so supportive and this should lift ur spirits up and make u think in a positive way about it.. ur blessed to have this child. think that many couples spend long long years trying to concieve and go through many heartaches and expensive procedures in order to get pregnant and this doesnt mean that the pregnancy will end up with a baby.. this alone is a blessing for u dear..u will love ur baby no matter what..enjoy it to the max, ur in the best trimester now and ur baby's kicks should make u forget any sad thing ur thinking about. i dont really have that background about ur baby's situation, but im sure its common and drs will take good care of ur baby and u should ask them everything u need to know and what to expect so u will be emotionally prepared. now plz remember that u/s are not 100% accurate and they can do mistakes. probably a 3d/4d scan or more tests can show more accurate results? and dont be sorry to talk to us about ur situation, this is a thread for all of us june mommies and ur a member of our small family :) we will be more than happy to help u in anything or just read ur post to make u feel better..take good care of urself dear :) good luck on monday xxx
oh and btw, i LOVE the names u picked!! we have lots of laylas in the arab world and its such a beautiful name :) love the boy's name too and im sure scott is so happy about it :)

Don't have alot of time for a big post right now but Tracey I'm sooooo sorry for your dissapointment. I can't imagine. BUT you will love and adore him/her no matter what's wrong or right with baba! Just imagine having baby in your arms and cuddling. I imagine that a brace worn for a certain amt of time would probably straighten the foot out anyways right? Hugggs for you girl. xoxo
Rh disease is def diff than just being rh neg which is what I am as well. I'll explain later when I have more time. Stay tuned!

Hey Ladies,
it's been super busy at work lately, so I've been reading posts but haven't been able to respond in a while.
I'm 23 weeks today!! YAY growing BIGGER everyday. I have bad dreams at night about premature labour and birth and so every week that goes by I celebrate as my baby is that much more well developed.
Also trouble sleeping, general aches and pains, but I haven't been sick in weeks, that's a really nice feeling, sadie, sorry you can't go off the diceclectin yet :(
I had an appointment earlier this week, everything looking good, although I do need to keep my water intake up which I try really hard to do, but.. I just don't like drinking water :( I had a night of crampiness a while back that the midwives thought was from dehydration, but I don't want to have that again, so I've got my water bottle.. and of course am running to the loo all the time!
Lucy, what you described of your dizziness at the mall, I've felt the exact same thing.. only when I was younger and not pregnant. I've never fainted, but that's exactly what my body felt right before I would have if I hadn't sat down. It's happened when I was especially tired or on my period.. so I think low iron or hemoglobin issues is pretty reasonable. Not hard to fix. and relatively normal.
Tracy, sorry to hear your news, I'm sure I would feel initially devestated as well, maybe read lots about club foot and in a few days hope you're feeling better and more adjusted to the shock. I don't know a lot about it, but to me, it seems like a harelip or something, fairly common but devestating 50 years ago.. whereas now, so easy to fix even before baby is walking so it shouldn't really effect your lives much at all. Better a problem with the foot than the heart or brain!
ooops running out of time. I love checking in how you all are doing! Thanks for being there ladies!
