How does the saying go? When you carry high it is a ___? and when you carry low it is a ___? I know thats just an old wives tale.. but.. which way does it go?

When you carry it high, it's supposedly a girl. Low, a boy. Don't know how true it is, though!

That's what someone told me the other night, also that since I look so great and haven't gained weight other than my belly, that it's a boy. You tend to gain more fat all over with a girl. Have any of you heard this?? Also, the whole heartrate theory, someone told me since it is 150 it's a boy and that girls are a lot higher.

I got fat ALL OVER with my girl. my arse and hips particulary went outta whack. But with my boy i seem to be more out in front. ppl have told me i seem to have lost weight in other places and gained in my belly. i wouldnt put money on wives tales..but there HAS to be something to em, or they wouldnt have started in the first place, right?

My boss had a funny superst_tion, she took a gold ring and hung it from a string over my belly. It moved back and forth, so she says I'm having a boy. (It would have moved in circles if it were a girl.) I think it's cute, and of course she has a 50% chance of being right. I saw a "quiz" on about.com where you answered yes or no to a bunch of questions on different superst_tions about pregnancy, and it gave you a guess, based on a bunch of superst_tions, on whether you were having a boy or a girl. It's silly, but sort of fun.
