IsabellasMommy - March 9

I'm feeling better today, no more bug for me. Although today my hips and back hurt and I don't even know what I did to make them hurt. I let the dog outside this morning and noticed that one of our gates was opened (a gate that I checked last night to make sure it was locked) and when I looked at the other gate, somebody had pulled on the top of it to get to the inside lock to unlock and open it. I'm furious! But don't know who's doing it and I would call the police because this has been happening since we moved here in October, but they won't do anything at all, so it's pointless to call. I like the house, but hate the area. We are going to try to move before the baby is born, just hoping to find a place till this house sells.

Glad your feeling better :) That sucks to have to think about moving when you are pg. I love our house, even though we are getting a little crowded in here... 6 people in a 3 bedroom home. We are hoping to finish the bas____nt in a few years and add another bedroom and bathroom. My area is nice and so are my neighbours, so I don't want to leave!

We have started thinking that it's actually one of the neighbors doing things to try to scare us into moving out of the neighborhood. I live in a racist area and with my boyfriend being black...well, people can be extremely mean. I hate thinking about moving especially since we just moved here, but I think it needs to be done. I go to my doctor tomorrow for an appointment, in a way I'm hoping that she wants another u/s done but since I'm paying out of pocket I don't want to pay for two of them since they are kind of expensive.

Thats too bad if your neighbours are the ones trying to push you out :( So do you need another u/s just to finish the measurements? Or is this for another reason? I am getting a little worried since I have tested pos for strep B, have gone on 2 separate courses of antibiotics, and yet my pee sample STILL came up positive yesterday... sigh... I have always been a carrier and had to have the antibiotic IV during delivery, but it has never come out in my pee before where I needed to be treated while prego. Always something....

My appointment went good today, my doctor went over everything from the u/s. She said that everything looked good, but they need to keep an eye on the placenta. I have a low lying placenta and need to go back to have an ultra sound done between 26-28 weeks to see if it has moved up and to also get pictures of the babys heart. Of course now I'm worried about if the placenta doesn't move up at all. She said that we aren't looking at placenta previa or anything like that, but she wants to keep an eye on it. But I'm still really worried. I'm having another c-section with this baby, so even if the placenta doesn't move up, that isn't an issue...I just worry about anything else that could happen because of it. Everything else checked out ok though. Is the strep B something that could possibly just "go away" during the rest of the pregnancy? And you won't have to take medicine for it? Or is it something that you'll be on meds for until after the birth?

Glad your appointment went well and that baby looks fine. I have heard that placentas move around quite a bit, so I would not worry too much... especially if you have a c-section planned. I'm not sure if I asked you this already, but why are you having a c-section? Choice? Or they don't do VBAC where you are? Well... I got a call from my doc and she is putting me on another round of antibiotics... sigh... I have tried googling Strep B, but the only thing I can find is when you are diagnosed later in the pregnancy. I already know about that. When I go into labour, I will need IV to prevent transmitting it to the baby. I was told it is not harmful for the baby now, so I dont see why they are treating me for it. Will have to ask my OB next week. Since I am a carrier for it, it never really 'goes away', just doesn't show up in my urine. Besides, even if they clear it up now, it can still come back before I deliver.

The hospital doesn't allow VBACs and my doctor doesnt like to do them either. But really I would be afraid to try a VBAC. I'm hoping the recovery after this c-section goes as good as my previous one. I looked really quickly about the strep b and the sites I looked at made it seem like you shouldn't be getting antibiotic until closer to your due date. I'll look more and if I find anything, I'll put the link up here for you. I'm watching the local news right now and they just mentioned that there were ecxtasy pills found that are in the shape of Bart Simpson and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!!!! They showed a picture of them and they look like vitamins for kids. I don't remember where they said they found the pills, but I don't think it was around here...but WOW!!!!

Well... I'm off work this week... trying to get my spring cleaning done. The weather has been nice here, so I would really like to spend some time outside! I have my first OB appointment on Thurs, and I am looking forward it. My DH is also home this week, so he will be coming along as well. Started my 2rd course of antibiotics. Will def be asking OB about it!

I've gotten a little bit of an energy burst the past 2 days, so I have tried cleaning a little. My boyfriends mom asked him how I would feel if she offered to come over and help me clean and get things put away. She said she didn't want me to think she was going to look into everything and just be nibby, she knows how it is to be overwhelmed with cleaning while you're pregnant and have a young child already. Of course I feel bad that she offered because I feel like I should be able to keep the house clean (not that it's really dirty, it's just messy because of my daughter bringing stuff out and then not putting it away and then the dog tearing stuff up). I just don't have the energy in the evenings after my daughter is sleeping to do much of anything. My boyfriend did feel the baby actually kick hard on Thursday night. He loved it and has now tried to feel her kick every night since. She's so active now, well, she was active before, but it's getting stronger now and you can feel it from the outside. She's been kicking my bladder and my cervix a lot. She'll kick my cervix and I'm like "woah baby" and my boyfriend looks at me and instantly asks what he did. LOL

Thats great that he can feel her moving now. My little guy seems to be getting stronger too. But because of my anterior placenta, I think it will be a while before my DH can feel it. He kicks very low... mostly on my bladder and near my hip bones. Although this morning when I rolled onto my back in bed, I think he rolled over too, because my whole tummy moved! LOL... strange sensation! He was active all night though. I was awake with my sick baby, so I felt him moving around quite a bit. Looks like I have ANOTHER night owl!! Sigh... that means trouble!!! LOL

My little girl is sick today, she woke up in the middle of the night because she was sick. Now she's laying on the couch all covered up even though it's like 67 degrees here right now. She's got a slight fever, barky cough, says her throat is hurting her. I'm gonna call her doctor in the morning and see if I can get her in to see him. She hasn't even had dinner yet and she's already sleeping...so I'll have to wake her up in a little bit and give her some soup and hopefully she eats some of that. I hate seeing her sick, I just want to cuddle her up and hold her.

babyblue2 - March 19

Im not sure what my DD had... she had a fever all day yesterday and did not want to eat much. Thank goodness she slept thru the night tho... I was soooo tired after being up all the night before. Today she seemed better. No fever, but her appet_te isn't back yet. Im wondering if she may be teething. I think one of her back molars is coming in. Anyway... my OB appointment went great! She rea__sured me about the antibiotics, and told me that she won't do any further testing until towards the end of my pregnancy. So no more antibiotics for now! Yay... I hated taking them... horse pills! LOL.. She also told me that because my PAPP-A came back low in my triple screen, that I would need another ultrasound later on (32-36 weeks). That protein has to do with placental function, so she wants to make sure the baby is growing properly. Other than that... his heart sounded great and I am good to go for another month!

IsabellasMommy - March 21

My daughter is still feeling kind of sick and has pa__sed it on to my boyfriend and myself now. I had an itchy throat yesterday and woke up this morning and could barely talk. I've drank so much Sierra Mist and tea today that I'm surprised I have been able to not have to pee every 10 minutes. I am not having a problem with my nose this time...it's a sore throat and a bad cough. I'm afraid to take something for it since I took medicine a few weeks ago. Earlier I was having hot flashes, now I'm freezing. My boyfriend went to his moms to help her with something and then went to the store to get him some medicine and to get me some honey and lemons. Babyblue, glad to hear that you don't have to take any more antibiotics for now and that the babys heart sounded great. I have to go back around 28-32 weeks for another u/s so they can check the placenta to make sure it moved up and to also get more pictures of the babys heart.

How are you feeling today?? Aside from a bit of a headache from the change in the weather and no sleep, things are well for me. My daughter seems to be going through some phase right now, where she wakes up at 4am EVERY morning and cries. We have been bringing her to bed with us, and she settles right back to sleep. My only concern, is that if she gets into the habit now, when the baby comes she may get jealous when he sleeps with us and there is no room for her. Sigh... We tried letting her cry it out the other night, and she kept us p for an entier hour before settling down finally. This morning, I had to go back to work (I have been off for the last week on spring break with the kids), so we brought her to bed again so I could get my sleep. 6am comes way to quickly!! Not only that, but she seems to be eating less and seems to be more cranky lately too. I know she is teething (molars are coming in now), so that may be it. I am just sooooo tired! The one good thing is that DH and I finally chose a name for the baby. After looking through a million baby name books and websites, he finally agreed to one of the names I had suggested right from the start! LOL. At least now I can start calling him by name :) (though we plan on keeping it a secret from family until he is born - otherwise too many opinionget offered and people thinking they can change our minds!).

I still feel horrible. I'm coughing like crazy and I have hot flashes and then cold flashes. My daughter seems to be feeling better. I got about 2 hours of sleep last night and only got a little nap today, so right now I'm exhausted and it's still 3 1/2 hours till my little girls bed time...but once she's in bed, I'm gonna take a warm bath so I can relax and then go to bed myself. My daughter has been waking up in the middle of the night crying and she gets out of bed and comes to our room saying that her blanket is messed up. I told her yesterday that when the baby comes she won't be able to do that because she'll scare the baby and wake her up and that big girls stay in their bed all night and she looked at me with a serious expression and said "I don't wanna be a big girl anymore." LOL

babyblue2 - March 26

LOL... kids are too funny!! My DD has finally decided to sleep through the night again. The last 2 nights I have finally managed some good sleep (although I am still finding it hard to get up at 6am for work). She has been going to bed much later though (used to be 8:30ish and now its after 10)... but I won't complain... for now! It kinda takes away from the only time me and my hubby have alone. Hopefully everything will be back on track soon! Feeling any better today??
