So I got the husband to agree to finding out what the s_x is, and I have our ultrasound scheduled for valentines day. I am super excited. I think boy, he thinks girl, we'll have to wait a little longer the countdown is on.

I've also been getting dizzy and lightheaded...it sucks, but it's not all of the time. Are you having a hard time sleeping? It takes me forever to fall asleep and then once asleep, I'll get uncomfortable and wake up, then takes me forever to fall asleep. If I sleep too much on my side and kind of on my stomach, it gets very uncomfortable. Sometimes I don't even have to be on my stomach at all, but I've found that sleeping on my back is more comfortable, even though it's bad.

I am so with you, I have been really lightheaded and dizzy, off an on this week. Sleeping is the same for me I am so darn tired but cannot get cmfortable, not that my belly is that large yet, although iti s making known I am pregnant, Just as you when I wake up in the middle of th night it takes quite some time to get back to sleep. I feel more comfortable on my back too. I was told by my midwife that you should sleep however you feel comfortable, but in the back of my mind I am always thinking, get off of your back. Its nice to hear so many others going through the same thing.

Glad to hear that you got hubby to find out the s_x when you have your ultrasound. What makes going to sleep harder for me is that my boyfriend works until about 3am, and as silly as it sounds, I can't sleep without him here...so I stay awake as long as I can until he gets here. I'm already starting to show a little (this is my third pregnancy) but even the maternity clothes that I have aren't comfortable sometimes. I've been putting off chores around the house, so I have tons of laundry to fold and put away, now if only I can get the energy.

When I'm not pregnant, I don't sleep on my back either...lol With my previous 2 pregnancies, I always slept on my side...but I just can't get comfortable on my side. It's like me laying on my side puts too much pressure on my stomach and the baby and I just lay there, looking at the wall as if it's going to come to life and talk to me. But as soon as I roll onto my back, I'm instantly tired and within a few minhtes, I'm sleeping. I've also noticed that I'm not eating a lot, just not hungry. I'm lucky to eat twice a day, no snacking either. Am I the only one not hungry?

i was also having trouble falling asleep & i would wake up to pee & then i'd be up for hours & not fall back to sleep until it was time to wake up for work. thankfully thats over. i fall asleep immediately & i do wake up once in awhile to pee but i fall right back to sleep. i dont have a problem getting comfortable but sometimes i wake up on my back with a pounding headache & tension in my shoulders. i havent been too lightheaded but every other day when i take my shower in the morning i get really hot & dizzy from standing & i end up showering in a squatting position or on my knees or i just sit for a little while until it pa__ses & then rush through the rest of my shower so i dont pa__s out. i cant take the acne & stuffy nose!!!!

I don't have the stuffy nose at all, and as for the acne, well, I had problems with this at the very beginning of the pregnancy, but not since (thank goodness). I'm also having hot flashes...badly. As cold as it is here, I only use a sheet to cover up with at night and even with that I sweat like crazy. My boyfriend woke up the other night and woke me up and asked if I had peed myself. LOL Of course I was embarrased because for a minute I thought that maybe I had, but nope...just sweat. I'm not sure how I'm going to handle the hot flashes this summer.

Hey ladies, I'm just going to jump in... :) I remember some from first trimester boards. :) I am 14 weeks tomorrow. To the question about 3D u/s... at our 12 week u/s the doc did it real quick just to try to figure out the s_x (early, I know but he says he has only been wrong a couple times this early) :) So it was interesting, hard to get your barings at first about which way is up and what you are looking at (at least at 12 weeks!) But it is cool. He thinks we are having a girl. :) We'll see next month somewhere around Feb 25th we get to find out!! CAn't Wait! Also, on early movement, I swear! I have felt little flutters, but i am told that my placenta is on the outside so it should block any early movements... probly just muscle flutters.... who knows. :)

Ugh! I am having trouble sleeping too! I fall asleep just fine because I am exhausted, but then either wake up a million times or wake up like between 4-5 am wide awake and ready to go... but I am NOT getting up that early just to be even more exhausted during the day! :()

babyblue2 - January 23

Hi andesue :) I know what you mean... 4-5 seems to be the waking hour for me too. And considering my alarm is st for 6:30... its not good! Isabellasmommy, I too suffer from hot flashes (I hat to think what menopause is gonna be like!), but not to the point where you are at. Mine come and go... and in between, I get cold flashes. Thats something new for me. I am ALWAYS hot! My DH calls me 'the furnace'. This baby is definitely messing with my thermostat! I am also suffering from a stuffy nose. That was one of my first pregnancy indicators. It drives me crazy beacuse when my sinuses are stuffed, I feel more nauseaous! Mommylovesyou - I can also relate to the shower thing. I have to wash my hair (its thick and below the shoulder) at night, because if I am in the shower too long in the morning, I get really light headed and feel sick. Who said being pregnant wasn't fun???!! LOL

So i had my AFP drawn for Spina Bifida, and the level should be 0.5 to 2.5, and mine came back super borderline to 2.51, do you thin kI should be nervous, I guess it is common for this to happen but I get nervous, and start racing in my head. I ordered a home doppler today to rent from a website, and I cannot wait to get it. My nose has been so stuffy lately. I hope everyone has a good weekend.

I am 14 weeks and I can't wait til the baby is born. I use to be extremely tired, sick, and felt ugly!!!! But now I am okay and the only problem is spitting all the time! Any ideas how to stop it????

IsabellasMommy - January 26

tmontrelj, I have the same problem...I'm constantly spitting, sometimes it feels like I have a cold and just a lot of mucus in my throat, but it's just saliva. I also have pains in my hips...more one than the other, but I'm thinking that's where I fell last week and slid down a few steps on my b___t. If I figure out anything that works about the spitting, I'll let you know. People tell me to suck on hard candy, but that makes more saliva for me...LOL

Hello everyone......joining from the 1st trimester board also (14 weeks). I was wondering do any of you ladies see a male doc? In this pregnancy I started out with a female doctor but her office was EXTREMELY busy and unorganized. Well, I have been referred to another doctor in my area and have an appointment for the 29th but the only thing is that this doc is male and I have never had a male doctor.

IsabellasMommy - January 27

Kesha, I have a female doctor but with my first pregnancy I did see a male doctor a few times when I went in to the hospital for really bad braxton hicks. The doctor that I saw was amazing, very professional. I would say to give him a chance and if you don't feel comfortable with him after the first visit you could try another doc. Good luck. When are you due again? I'm due July 30.

amylea22 - January 27
