IsabellasMommy - February 4

I was talking to my grandma about this baby and she said that even though I'm not due until July 30, I will have the baby by July 21. When I asked her how she knew, she said that you go by the phases of the moon, just like they did in the old days. She also told me that I'm having a boy. Now, I'm normally really skeptical about things like this, but she told me with my first pregnancy that I was having a girl and she would be born before September 18 and I had a GIRL on September 16. I can't wait to find out if my grandma is right about this one. Just wishing it was time for my US already.

Isabellasmommy - my first DD and son's pregnancies were totally different. But DD2s pg was the same as my son's... so there goes that theory! I would definitely be happy if this baby came a little before the due date! Hmm... my in laws also talk about the phases of the moon. I used to work in a hospital, and I know it was definitely busier during full moon! LOL.. I am also hoping for a boy... but have feeling its a girl. The chinese calendars are all different, depending on which one you look at. This pregnancy is also different than the rest, so I can't even go by that! LOL.. looks like I am just gonna have to wait til March 4th! Had really bad migraine for the past 2 days, and this morning I nearly fainted. Was making my lunch for work, when I started having really bad hot flashes. Could feel the sweat running down my back. Then started dry heaving to the point where I was tasting bile (sorry TMI), since I hadn't eaten anything yet. I had to lay down for 15 minutes until the feeling pa__sed. I think my bloodsugars were a little low, but that was not fun!

You're wanting a boy but thinking it's a girl? Me too...I even told my boyfriend last night, but I also told him that I was wrong about my daughter, so I could be wrong again. He really wants a litle boy (this is his first child). My grandma goes by the Full Moon and the New Moon. She said normally you'll have your baby before the New Moon in the month that you're due. I'm not sure how she figured that out, but it's worked with everybody else in our family. I'm sorry to hear that you nearly fainted this morning. Are you feeling better now? Are any of you hurting on a daily basis? My back and hips hurt everyday and it's driving me crazy.

Isabellasmommy - Feeling better today. Made sure I had breakfast before I started getting stuff ready for work. Turned out better! Your hips are still bothering you? Have you asked your doc about that?? Mine were bugging me a bit right at the beginning, but have been good ever since. I had a lot of hip pain toward the end of my last pg. Its not fun! LOL... my DH is sooo convinced that this is a boy. I know I won't hear the end of it if it turns out to be so! We are having such a hard time with boys names though. We sat in bed for an hour last night and could't agree on a single name! Girls names are easier (funny enough Isabella is at the top of our list... we are Italian and like the more ethnic names). Guess we still have a month before we know for sure... so there will be much debate til then!

My daughters name is Isabella and it so fits her. My entire pregnancy I had the name Alyssa picked out but a week before I had her I changed the name and I'm sooo glad that I did change it. I like different names, the not so common ones, her middle name is very unique, as will the middle name of this baby be. My boyfriend and I finally decided on a middle name for a girl or boy...it sounds kind of girly, but it's a mans name, so I'm ok with it. I might call my doctor today and talk to them about my hips hurting, I go next Friday for my appointment though. I know the baby is fine because I've used my doppler and hear the heartbeat. The heartbeat is never over 155 though. I just wish it was July already!!

Tell me about it... feel so far away at the moment. When I went for my 12 week scan, baby's HB was 167. That is similar to my DS's... who was always above 160. My 2 DDs HBs were always under 150. Gives me hope for a boy, even though I know it just an old wives tale! We will use my Dad's name as a middle name for a boy (DS has DH's fathers name for middle name). At this rate, it may end up being his only name! LOL... I like Alyssa (or Alessia) too... on my list! I am sitting at work and bored out of my mind! Makes me antsy and find my legs are starting to cramp up a lot. I have also noticed an increase in the bathroom visits this past week! Baby must be sitting on my bladder! I can no longer make it through the night... which sucks, since I am already having problems with sleep! Sigh...

Since I found out I was pregnant I couldn't make it through the night. That is a big way I found out I was pregnant. i never had to wake up ever before this, so it has been pretty trying on the body, I cannot wait to find out what baby is!!!!! Anyone else still really really tired. I am exhausted all of the time, but iron is good. Back to work!!!! UGH!!! I wanna nap!!

IsabellasMommy - February 5

I'm always exhausted, but I think my problem is that I can't sleep at night...I'm awake until around 4am and then wake up about 10 times and then my daughter has me up again at 9. I have found that I just can NOT sleep without my boyfriend home and he doesn't get home from work until around 4. I hate it and he laughs at me and tells me that I'm a baby. This heartbeat is completely different than my daughter, hers was always over 160 and this one is low, at it's highest it was 154, but normally it's lower than that. I've noticed that I've had a lot more potty breaks through the day and at night within this past week and I've also noticed my appet_te is picking up. I do have a question about old wives tales...I heard that the difference in the color of urine depends on the s_x of the baby...have any of you heard this? I've noticed that with this one, the color is different...with my daughter it was really dark but with this one, it's really light and I know that it's not because of a difference in water because i'm drinking the same amount. I'll ask my doctor about it though...but it's weird.

babyblue2 - February 6

I have heard that old wives tale as well. Mine is fairly light these days... but I couldn't tell you what it was like with my DDs... I barely remember what I had for breakfast these days! Prego brain is definitely kicking in! LOL... Have you googled gender prediction and old wives tales?? There are a couple of fun little quizzes based on old wives tales that you can take and it will predict the s_x of your baby. I had never heard of some of them... but it was fun to try. I did 2, and both said boy. When I did them with DD I got girl... so who knows! And yes... still realy tired. Its getting better... but I still need a late afternoon nap!

IsabellasMommy - February 6

The only reason that I remember what color mine was with my DD was because I was expecting them to tell me that I wasn't drinking enough water, but I tried drinking and it never lightened at all. My hips didn't hurt yesterday and so far, nothing today. I'm thinking they were hurting so bad because I fell a few weeks ago and landed on my b___t and went down a few stairs like that and I think I may have bruised myself and with my hips spreading preparing for baby, I think it was just a little too much on my body. I have done so many gender predictors and they all say boy for me as well, we're really hoping. Grandma still swears the baby is a boy and I can't wait to find out for sure. I think I'm going to go crazy waiting to find out. But I was sitting here thinking yesterday and was so happy because I'm almost half way through the pregnancy. *sigh of relief* I've always felt the baby move a little and hearing the heartbeat every few days. Just so relieved that I got this far.

babyblue2 - February 7

I know what you mean! 16 weeks tomorrow! My next milestone... the halfway mark! This one will be big, since it is also the week of my ultrasound! Glad your hips are feeling better, although I would still ask doc about it at your next appointment. Still have not felt baby move 'for sure' so I am keeping my fingers crossed for this week. I will feel a little better once week 16 is over, as I had major bleeds for my last 2 DC at this time. Although both turned out well... its still really scary. Hoping it will be different this time around. Well... baby sick AGAIN yesterday with a stomach bug. I am really disliking daycare for that one reason! I am hoping not to catch it... but what are the chances of THAT!! LOL

IsabellasMommy - February 7

I think the chances are probably better than you are hoping...lol I hope that you dont get sick though and hope that your little one does get better soon. For some reason I was thinking that the 11th was on a Friday, even though I knew that the 14th was on Saturday, so I'm not sure how I came up with it...lol I do plan on talking to my doctor on Wednesday about my hip hurting. I haven't felt the baby move for a few days, but I've not really been able to relax and I've been so stressed out.

amylea22 - February 9

19 weeks today, cannot wait to find out what we are having this Saturday!!!!! I am sooooooo anxious. My gut is a boy, keep ya posted. Hope everyone else is well. Oh I fell on the darn ice yesterday, right on my back hard!!! I fell right where I had my major back surgery 10 months ago.

IsabellasMommy - February 9

Amy, I'm sorry to hear that you fell. I hope that you're ok. Please let us know once you find out if it's a boy or a girl....I can't wait to hear what everybody is having. I walked back in the house after spending time at my moms and as soon as I walked in, I felt my baby moving a lot...normally it's a flutter here and there, but it was like the little one was tumbling and rolling and kicking and punching all at once. You still can't feel it from the outside and it does kind of bum me out, but soon enough we'll be able to feel it. I go to my doctors on Wednesday and I'm excited about going. I did start crocheting a baby blanket and I figure that since I have until July, I can take my time doing it. I am kind of worried that my doc will put me on bedrest if my hip doesn't stop hurting like it has (even though it hasn't hurt today at all) and if I continue getting bigger and bigger...I swear I feel like I'm due any day and I look like I'm at least 6 months pregnant instead of only 15 weeks.

babyblue2 - February 10

Amy - hopefully you didn't aggravate your back when you fell. I am green with (nausea) envy that you are going for your u/s on Saturday! LOL.. I am literally counting down the days til mine (22 days in case anyones wondering hehe). Hopefully your little bean will cooperate and show you the right parts! LOL Isabellasmommy - You are sooo lucky to be feeling so much movement. I haven't felt a thing for almost a week... not even the maybe-gas-bubbles! I did go to my prenatal apt. yesterday and got to hear the HB! Was nice and strong, and the baby was active because we had to keep moving the doppler around so I could get a good recording of the HB to take home for the kids to listen to. DH came with me and got to hear it as well (his first time). Was a great rea__surance. I have one more apt. with my GP, and then I start seeing my OB next month. I also did the last blood workup for the IPS. Hopefully when I go see my doc on March 9th I will get the results from the blood work and the 12 week u/s. After that, I will definitely be able to relax!
