IsabellasMommy - February 28

I can't wait until the u/s on wednesday....we're excited and want to know if it's a boy or a girl. But I'm really wishing that it was July already. I can't take the hormones much longer...I'm going crazy. LOL

babyblue2 - March 2

Well... woke up really stuffy today. I think I am fighting yet another bug... ugh!! All I wanted to do was sleep this weekend too! My chest feel tight and I am coughing. Oh well... just waiting for the really bad hot flashes to start and then I KNOW I am sick! LOL... Isabellasmommy - I know what you mean by the hormone overload! This sore throat could have benn caused by all the yelling I did yesterday!! The kids... DH... everyone gettin on my nerves, and no one smart enough to stay out of my way!! LOL... I am getting so excited about the u/s on Wednesday too. Next Monday I have my last appointment with my GP and then I start seeing my OB. Hopefully she will have all my u/s results too. Some techs here refuse to tell the s_x, so I may have to wait until Monday to find out. With DD2, my tech was so nice... she let me watch the entire process, and explained what she was doing. Was so much better than just laying there for an hour, worrying, while the techs do their thing. Anyway... hopefully this week goes by quick!

IsabellasMommy - March 2

I'm going to call my doc today to see if they can give me some good medicine, I've been taking this tylenol sinus and I feel worse today than I felt all weekend. The hormones seem to be worse when I'm sick. My boyfriend called the other night on his way home from work and I yelled at him. I didn't mean to yell at him, I wasn't feeling good, stressed from something my daughter had done, was hungry ad there was nothing to eat here. Well, I guess before I yelled at him, his sister had gotten an attt_tude with him about something and he had a rough day at work. So, when he got home, I heard all about it. I'm honestly tired of apologizing for yelling...but when I apologize, I end up crying and then he feels bad. Only 2 more days to go for the u/s!!!!! Hurry up Wednesday!!!!! I haven't really bought anything yet for the baby, wanted to wait till we found out. Some techs really don't tell you the s_x? That's weird. My doctor told me that when I find out, I have to tell her because they don't tell the doctors anymore. If I wasn't sick, I would probably jump up and down with excitement just because it's almost Wednesday. Of course, I would have to have the energy first. I need to talk to my doctor about that because I still have NO energy. If it wasn't for my mom helping me, my house would look like it should be on the show "Clean House". This pregnancy is completely different than with my daughter...I had enough energy for 20 people, even in the first trimester. I'm going to ask if they can tell me what they are doing at the ultra sound as they do it, so that I'm not laying there bored out of my mind. What I don't like is that they don't let anybody else in when they are doing all the techy stuff, even if they made them sit so they couldn't see anything, just to give us mothers something to do. Maybe I'll take a book...LOL I stll have to get somebody to watch my little girl because I know she won't be good for my boyfriend for an hour in a hospital. What time is your appointment on Wednesday?

babyblue2 - March 2

My appointment is at 7pm. My hubby has to arrange to leave work early. I know what you mean about your BF not having an easy time watching your daughter for that long. My daughter is 16 months and won't want to stay still for that long either (and won't understand whats going on while in the u/s room either). My hubby is gonna have fun with that! At least the other 2 are old enough to bring a book or their gameboys to play with. I'm not lookin forward to drinking all that water either! LOL... I usually cheat and drink only half... and so far no complaints! I haven't bought too much either. I picked up a unis_x outfit tat I just couldn't resist (was on sale too), but thats pretty much it. I have sooo much girls clothing from my sis and some friends, that I have about 9 storage bins in the bas____nt full! If this is a boy... I am in trouble! LOL... I have no close friends/family who have baby boys that are willing to pa__s over their stuff. Its gonna be an expensive shopping trip! Are you planning on getting a double stroller? I'd like to, but DH thinks we can do without. I used to have one with my older ones (they were 16 months apart), and found it indespensible. These two kids will be 21 months apart, so I'm thinkin it will come in handy for when I'm out alone. They are expensive though, and hard to find second hand. Hmmm.... decisions decisions! LOL...

IsabellasMommy - March 2

I was thinking about getting a double stroller, but decided not to because my daughter will almost be 4 when I have this baby and she looks too big in a stroller. (She's big for her age.) The only time that I would even need a double stroller would be the first couple of weeks after having the baby, but I don't plan on going anywhere by myself at first anyway, so I'll have help with both kids for a while. My boyfriend and I have been talking about moving again...we just bought this house the end of September, but we aren't really happy here at all. We've talked about waiting a few years and selling this house and buying a new modular home and setting it up on some land that his grandma owns (she said she would give it to him). Just not sure what to do...just hoping to be able to get most of what we paid for the house back...we might wait to sell it once the housing market it better.

babyblue2 - March 3

So this morning I woke up feeling like a Mac truck had run me down. UGH! Will these bugs not leave me alone!! I have pretty much stayed in bed all afternoon. I am sure work is pleased with all the sick time I have been needing with this pregnancy! Sigh... My body aches and my head feels like it is burning up, but no fever thank goodnes. At least the house is quiet with the kids at school/daycare. The only thing I can think about is the u/s tomorrow! Yippee!!

IsabellasMommy - March 3

I noticed yesterday that my throat didnt hurt as much and this morning, not at all. My ears still hurt though and I still have a mild headache, runny nose. I don't want to call my doctor if it's just a virus that they can't do anything about anyway. It's just bothering me that I'm having problems hearing. I wish my house was quiet, my daughter keeps running in and throwing things at me telling me that she wants this or that. I just want to try to relax a little more today. I keep thinking about my u/s and I'm getting worried. I keep thinking that we're going to go in and that the baby will not be moving and won't have a heartbeat...even though I feel the baby move and that I've heard the heartbeat with my doppler. Then I get worried about what if the baby isn't cooperating and we don't see the s_x, I really don't want to buy unis_x clothes. I'm just excited about seeing the baby again and thinking that next week I'll be 20 weeks...HALFWAY!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!! Summer is coming soon.....

amylea22 - March 3

So I am 22 weeks and 1 day. Can't believe it. Baby has been fluttering the last week and a half or so, but the last few days it is sporadic maybe I feel it once maybe twice. I hear the heartbeat with the doppler so I know all is well. I know baby is still small but kicks should start to be getting stonger within the next week or two right?? Everyone is different too huh? hope everyone feels better, i have been blessed with no bugs, at all knock on wood!!!

IsabellasMommy - March 3

I think around 22-24 weeks is when you should really feel the baby kick a lot instead of just the subtle movements. I would give it a couple of weeks and if you still aren't feeling much, mention it to your doctor. I'm feeling better tonight, but my nose is still bothering me. Since I have been breathing out of my mouth since Friday and have just now been able to breathe out of my nose, it's like my nose is really sensitive and it hurts to breathe in and out through my nose..lol I do go tomorrow at 1:30 for my u/s and I really can't wait. I'm just worried that if this one is a girl that my boyfriend will treat my daughter differently after this (this is his first child). He's so good with my daughter and I know that he wouldn't treat her differently because he tells everybody that she is his child, but I'm just worried.

babyblue2 - March 4

You are lucky that your u/s is scheduled for so early in the day!! I have to torture myself at work the entire day! LOL.. Don't panic about your baby... if you feel the LO move and you can check the HB anytime you want, don't worry! I also wouldn't worry about how your BF will treat DD... if he loves her now, that won't change. Amylea - I am almost 20 weeks and still barely feel the baby squirm. I wouldn't worry too much. It will still be a few weeks before you feel some good hard kicks. I am just happy that I feel the occasional squirm :) All I can think about today is my u/s!! I am feeling a bit better. I stayed in bed most of yesterday, although I did venture out to the gym to meet with my trainer for half an hour. I actually felt better after the workout. Probably psychological, since I have actually started putting on a few pounds this week. LOL. My nose is still a little runny this morning, but at least my sinuses are clear and my body only aches from the workout. Isabellasmommy... good luck with u/s!!! Hope s/he is co-operative and you can find out s_x. Keep me posted! I will be thinkin of you today!

IsabellasMommy - March 4

My appointment is in about 2 hours and I'm more nervous now than I've ever been. I got about 5 hours of sleep, took a warm bath this morning and almost fell asleep 6 times in there. LOL I think I'm going to try to nap on the way up (it's a 20 minute drive and my BF is driving). Or maybe I'll nap once I'm on the bed at the hospital...lol As soon as I can, I'll post and let you ladies know how things went. Babyblue, I'll be thinking of you today as well. I hope your u/s goes great and that your baby lets you see if it's a little boy or a little girl. Good luck! I hope the rest of you ladies have a good day today as well. Hoping your little ones are doing great.

IsabellasMommy - March 4

My baby did not want to cooperate at all with the tech. The poor lady didn't know what to do when the baby refused to move...lol She tried everything, but the baby just stayed where it was. She didn't get all of the pictures she needed, still need the heart, kidneys, and bladder. So I go back in a few weeks for another scan. We coldn't tell 100% the s_x, but I got an 80% that it's a little girl. When I go back, I'll ask them to check again. The measurements that I could see her taking have me really curious, the baby measured about 21 weeks, but I'm only 19 weeks. Babyblue, let us know how your scan went.

babyblue2 - March 4

Aside from having to wait for 45 minutes past my appointment time to do my scan, it went really well! The tech was a wonderful woman who let me watch the entire time. She even explained what she was measuring (although by baby #4, I pretty much knew what I was lookin at!). She even told me that everything looked really good and healthy. The baby was very active, so she had to do some 'chasing' to get the measurements, but all in all, baby was very co-operative. She told me baby was measuring for 21 weeks one day, which is only about 5 days more than what I really am, so good size. And we were able to tell the s_x!!! Its a BOY!!!!!!!! Yippee!!!! Now we just have to work on a name, since DH and I don't seem to agree on much! LOL. Isabellasmommy - Too bad your LO wasn't behaving, but on the positive side, you will get to see her again real soon :)

IsabellasMommy - March 4

My tech let me watch everything and explained it to me, which was really nice because they didn't do that when I was pregnant for my 'oldest' daughter. (That sounds odd saying...lol) It was funny though that the baby wasn't cooperating because at the beginning, she was moving around and the tech couldn't even get measurements for the head and then said "Come on baby, be still." and after that, the baby rarely moved. LOL Then when the tech wanted the baby to move, she wouldn't. She laughed and was like "ok baby, I get it, you don't like me." She tried everything to get the baby to move and the baby just wouldn't budge, the baby was VERY stubborn and I'm not sure if that's from me or her daddy. LOL I am happy though that I'll get to see her again in a few weeks. I just love these pictures that I have, they didn't print any out, but put them on a CD for me which I thought was really cool. I was told to be there 15 minutes before my appointment so that I could register, but they had already registered me, so I sat there for like 30 minutes before they took me back and then after I was back there, it took about 2 hours!!!!!!!! I got tired of laying on that uncomfortable bed. She had me get up and walk around for a few minutes hoping to get baby to move, but nope...baby stayed right where she was. I can't wait to shop this weekend...lol My boyfriend is going to think I'm crazy.

babyblue2 - March 5

Trust me... DH and I both have the day off work tomorrow, and I am gonna convince him to do some shopping with me as well!! :) We have very little 'neutral' clothing, so I want to start stocking up on the boys' stuff. I figure if I buy a little here and a little there, it won't seem too bad! Hopefully I can also find some friends to hand me down some stuff as well. I am pretty happy... now I will have 2 of each. Thats funny about your little girl not 'liking' the tech! I guess you now have a little insight on what she may be like!! LOL... Mine would not stop moving the whole time. But I think he was just squirming more than doing sommersaults, because the tech seemed to get her pics pretty quick. It only took about 40 minutes in total, including the time when my family was allowed to come in. Our hospital doesn't do CD's, but I got a few printed pictures, and a VHS tape of some of the session (maybe a couple minutes worth). My tech did tell me that I have an anterior placenta.... which explains why I haven't really felt him move too much (compared to the others). She said that even later on, his movements will feel a little different. Thats fine... at least now I know that thats normal for this little guy. DH and I started looking at baby names last night on the internet (since we were both too excited to sleep). We are in BIG trouble! LOL... Can't seem to agree on anything. I guess I will have to decide what name I like, and start working him in on it. Thats what I did with DD2. He initially didn't like the name, but after a little 'work' I had him hooked, and now he brags that HE chose the name! LOL.. Have you guys decided on any names yet??
