yay! A new thread! hows everyone today? yeah- its true, we have lost a lot of ppl. Either they quit the forum altogether, or just stop in to peek in, but decide not to say anything.;-) They're probably all too busy too. Maybe they'll get back on in the third trimester. Gabby, I totally fell you about people and their opinions. My family and my DH's brother and his wife don't like the name we've chosen for our son: Dante Antonio. it really ticks me off because they're all like." thats a black person's name, or I don't like it..." I just b__w them off though and tell them they can name their own children when they have them, and they bettter get used to the name because we're sticking with it. And- WHO cares if a lot of black kids have the name Dante?!!! I'm not racist! Dante is an Italian name...and its unique! I agree with you Gabby...who wants to name their child "Bob" or ...whatever...thats boring. We want our kids to stand out. Lol...yeah-- I hate how ppl do that....can you tell? I just wolfed down a sausage, egg and cheese crossant from the local gas station. I'm eating strawberries and sugar right now... whats everyone else having? How are the babies doing? I'm sort of upset, because Dante hasn't been kicking me or punchign as hard as he usually does...maybe because I've been so busy that i haven't felt all those movements. Late last night I did see his punches stick out of my stomach a couple times. He still won't let daddy feel them though!

Christie, King has been the same way. I was really nervous on Friday night because he was barely doing anything at all. And the nighttime is ussually when he is most active. I probably laid awake for about 6 hours waiting for him to do something. I ended up calling my docs emergency service on saturday morning, and they said to wait about 6 more hours and if still nothing then to go to the ER, but thank God he started bouncing around. I had drinken Sparkling cider on Friday night and I actually accused fred of getting wine instead, haha, he was like why would I do that, it's my baby too. But anyways, my doctor tried to explain to me that babies have their on and off days too, just like us. And it is not rare to have a day where you feel barely anything all day, as long as you can at least feel 10 movements (rolls, kicks, punches, flutters) in a 12 hour period then it's fine. So wait I have toi ask you guys the most embra__sing question. I'm not shy talking about poop so sorry if anyone else is. But do you have like the worst smelling gas and poop ever since your preggo? I swear I have had some SERIOUS gas lately and fred is always like gagging on the other side of the room while I'm sitting there hysterically laughing at myself. I've never been one of those girls that was afraid to fart around my boyfriend or really anyone else for that matter, but recently I'm like ok I'm gonna go outside to do that. HAHA I'm actually laughing at myself for even telling you guys this, but I've really been wondering if it's the pregnancy or just because I've been eating more variations of things. Like before I got preggo, I had really bad food allergies, speciafically celiac disease, which is an allergy to wheat, oats, rice, barley, and pretty much anything with flour in it. Well since being preggo I've been able to eat anything i want with none of the allergies, my doc says the disease will most likely return in full force after King is born, but my point is that I've been eating lots and lots of bread like foods because I could never eat them before. I think I just got really sidetracked, I hope noone had a hard time following that. Ok well, I'm gonna get some food now.

lol!HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Oh yes! I wake up in the morning with a fart now..and even do it during the night as I'm tossing and turning. I just bust out laughing and DH just starts laughing too...because i dont' usually fart so much! So yes, gas is definitely more of a "problem" now and so is the stinky poo!!! lol!!! Its awful! This may be tmi...but with discharge and all that poop and grossness... I use wipes. Lol...and they're great!!!!!!!!

hey girls. just thought i'd check in. haven't been on in awhile. I was out of the office 3 days last week and felt horrible. i am starting to have a miserable time with the pregnancy. i thought this was supposed to be the good trimester! good news is dominic is doing well! anyway, i've been feeling so guilty for hating being pregnant the last few weeks. anyone else going through this? hopefully it doesn't mean i will be a bad mommy! Uggh, i'll be 25 weeks on friday. . . still a long way to go!

fefer1 - March 4

hey don't feel bad buckeye- I went through that in the first tri and part of the second because I was so sick. Now I have such pain walking/rolling over, getting out of chairs that it starts to wear on me. It's normal to feel that way. :) gabby - the gas is TERRIBLE for me. I was NOT like this with my dd but it has hit me twice as bad this time. I nearly made my dh leave the bedroom the other day because I farted so bad. haha...he deserved it though for all the times he's done that to me, especially when I'm pregnant and can't stand smells. I just walk around and it comes out - I even rolledover in bed last night and just started tooting away. Sorry you have to take the glucose thing again eastcoast. :( Keep us posted! As for names, we didn't tell anyone with our dd - that way nobody could give us their opinion. It drove them crazy -but once she arrived, nobody could say "well I don't like Rachel because..." So I think that's what we are going to do again this time.

gabby509 - March 4

Yeah Fefer, I don't blame you, I almost wish that we wouldn't have told anyone yet, because now we're getting unwanted opinions. And eastcoast I'm sorry that you have to take the glucose test again. I wish you lots of luck on it. I was asking before about diabetes becase Fred is diabetic, type 1. So I wonder if that will run hereditary for the baby. I don't know. And eastcoast, I can't wait to hear all about your 3d u/s this week. I'm so excited!

newlywed0915 - March 4

Buckeye, dont' worry, I'm kind of anxious for this LO to be born already too. We only have 17 more weeks left actually...and some of us might go early, so you never know!!!

fefer1 - March 4

gabby - I don't know about the diabetes - I think it CAN be hereditary, or the tendencey to get it but with proper diet and exercise you can avoid it. Hey, I only have 13 weeks left!!!! I cannot wait to be done with this pregnancy stuff. Both my pregnancies have been so miserable - and I want my body back. :) I was watching King of Queens last night and they do back to back episodes - well, one was BEFORE Carrie got pregnant and the other was DURING her pregnancy - and she gained so much weight!!! It freaked me out because seeing the before and after reminded me of ME and how I must look. :( That whole pregnant is beautiful thing is c___p to me. I've never had the preggo glow - and just gain weight. grrr...I'm grumpy today, must be my sinus headache that I've had for two weeks now.

kay101 - March 4

Aw christie I like the name! LOL my dad's Italian so I guess I'm a little bias. Eastcoast - did you eat anything sugary before your test? They told me not to have anything like soda or candy before, and to keep my meals bland and high in protien so I don't get a positive test because I doubled up on sugar. I go for mine on monday and they told me to just come 5 minutes early to drink the solution then go do my NST so that would eat up part of the hour wait. I went in to labor and delivery at 23 weeks because I hadn't felt him move all night. He used to be really active during the day but changed his schedule, and my doctor told me to go in if I hadn't felt him move in several hours. No more than 2 minutes after I got hooked up to the monitors he started to show off and they seemed to have this att_tude if I wasn't bleeding or leaking I was over reacting. I don't care, I'd be in there every d__n day if I was worried. I've been able to do kick counts since 21 weeks since he's so active and I can feel him so well.

gabby509 - March 4

Wow Kay you're lucky. My little guy is getting on more of a routine now, like I can usually continually feel him throughout the day but sometimes he'll be laying really still for a few hours and I get paranoid. And for that glucose test my doctor told me not to eat anything before I go, but the paper( lab slip) that they gave me says that pregnant women do not need to fast before the glucose test, so I'm confused. I don't go until te 18th anyways though and my appt is at 8 AM so I think I'll be ok not eating before I go, I'm just worried because I have a doc appt right after it and thats at 10 so by then I'll definitely be starving, and King will definitely be trying to poke holes through my stomach, he does that when I get too hungry, he gets crazy .

newlywed0915 - March 4

Thanks for the name support! lol....before we know it, we'll have our babies in our arms...time is going to fly by fast once we hit the third trimester. Well, I'm off of work---going to make meatloaf and mashed potatoes for dinner. Yum!!!

kay101 - March 4

I was told for breakfast to do something like bacon and eggs.....rather than pancakes with syrup or poptarts. I'd deffinately have something like that or even just some rice cakes Sometimes I can't even go 15 minutes in the morning without eating because I'm so hungry I'll feel sick. A lot of times if I wake up at night I'll have to eat something like a piece of bread to be able to fall back asleep. I think I might be the first one to deliver since my EDD is June 1st and I'll be having him as early as I can.

fefer1 - March 4

I wasn't told anything crazy about what not to eat before my test - they said I could eat lunch or breakfast as normal but not to eat anything after I drink the sugar syrup. Kay,yeah, you will probably be the first one to go - you are having a c-section right? My due date is June 2 so who knows, I could be a May mommy but I'm holding out till June. I don't want him born on Memorial Day! My dd is right after Labor Day - and it's hard being born around the holidays with people always being out of town. Mine is bad enough, 2 weeks after Christmas! Gabby - take some snacks!! :) And Newlywed - your name is great. Just don't pay any attention to people who poke fun at it - it's not their baby.

kay101 - March 4

Well girlie even if you go just a few days early you'll have a may baby.....my kids b-days are only gonna be a few days apart.

Hey ladies, I was invited to re-join all of you over here on the June Mommies thread. I had originally started off with ya'll and then situations arose where I lost my internet/computer and wasn't able to post for some time. Now I am back and was told I wouldn't be an intruder coming back this late in the game. So let me re-introduce myself. My name is Krissy (duh) LOL I am 23 married to Arturo (32) and we are 24 wks 2 days pg with our first baby, a little girl who we are going to name Samantha Marie. She is due June 23rd but has continuously been measuring big so the doctor thinks she may induce me 3 weeks early which would be around the beginning of June. I have my glucose tolerance test in 1.5 wks and I'm kinda worried about that as at my 23 wk u/s the perinatologist said her belly is measuring in the 95th perfcentile which could be a sign of GD..(eek!) Anyway, from the beginning everything has been wonderful with her. At 20 weeks there was a minor scare of placenta privia (sp?) but it has since then moved.. yay! I want a v____al birth! Please introduce yourselves to me, as it would take me ages to re-read through everything to re-acquaint myself with you ladies!! Hope to finish this journey with ya'll and make some new friends!!
