My daughter is the same mix of races but she looks puerto rican LOL typically the darker genes will win out like say if you have brown eyes and hubby has blue eyes your baby would have about a 75% chance of having brown eyes and a 25% chance of blue eyes. I think my genes really won out in my daughter because she looks a lot more like me than her dad. Maybe I just have strong genes :D It's funny though looking at my son on the 4d ultrasound because it looks like he's got a nose and cheeks like hers even though they have different dads. My sister and I do also but you can see similarities between us so I'm curious to see how much he'll resemble my daughter.

Yeah Kay is absolutely right. The darker genes are usually the more dominant. Like she said brown eyes will most likely win over blue eyes and also with hair color. The blonds and reds are usually the recessive gene. So today has been such a wierd day for me. I've been happy then mad then happy then mad. I don't even know why. I'm all wacky. I'm making tacos for dinner tonight so hopefully I'll be happy after I eat them. Ok well I'm gonna go kick my stupid dogs a__s because he is chasing shadows around the room, and driving me insane. I swear he is 150 lbs and just ran his head straight into the wall, I though he was going through the sheetrock, friggin moron.

Hello girlies!!! Well I must comment on the inter-racial thing I am italian and irish I am veryyy fair skin and have black hair and brown eyes ( my dad was a red head w/brown eyes and my mom was a brunette with green eyes lol ) so I think the darker the more dominant - anywho my daughters father is full Puerto rican when my daughter was born she was a lil tan but as she got to like 6 months she paled out and looked more like me NOW the older she gets the more she looks all puerto rican lol - people say she looks like me but with a tan haha she has medium brown hair though which is from her dads side and my eyes because she has these HUGE brown eyes and long eyelashes. My lil violet I am cooking here is going to be half puerto rican as well except I think her dad has a lil dominican in him and he is a lil darker so she may be a lil darker then chas but I guess we will see lol. I ate today 3 meals but they were all fast food ..which i am getting REALLLY tired of ..ahh to cook again! I am babysitting my friends kid tonight who is not the best in the obedience thing but hopefully its just for one night.Sadly I am not a 'kid' person - I am great with my own kids or kids who listen and are very respectful and obedient but with the ones who arent i want to run away from them lol - Most kids are scared of me hahaha so they usually do listen - like this lil girl she is scared to death of me just by my appearance and I talk a lil 'firm' when I speak to her because she can be very fresh ... so I dont let her get away with anything - like tonight she was telling my daughter she is too 'big and heavy' to do cartwheels.. mind you she almost weighs what my kid weighs and she is 3 yrs younger - so Instead of calling her out on that i told her that 20 yr olds do cartwheels like cheerleaders etc so you are never 'too big' to do a cartwheel (completly bypa__sing whether or not she meant it as in fat big or height big) and she wanted to like argue with me about it so we went back and forth then of course I got the last word cause she got a lil nervous and lost her whole argument and didnt even make sense anymore so I said to her after I explained the flaws in her 'theory' .. I said 'do you know what i am saying now?" to which I got no response ... so I said .. Ok good answer now since you chose that road lets stick to that decision ... so now when you speak to me for the rest of the evening I will show you the same respect and not even dignify what you say with an answer.. so 20 mins later she caught her self talking to me .. I stopped- looked at her and said .. are you speaking to me? she was like yes . i said o... well I dont know should I answer that since you cant even have enough respect to answer me when I am talking to you .. she goes o.. then puts her head down lol .. so I just told her it is rude not to answer someone when they are speaking to you and if she wants me to speak to her and answer her and respect her thoughts then she needs to show me the same respect. she just agreed lol and we moved past it ..but I dont let her get away with anything cause she talks to her own mom like she is garbage and she will not speak to me in that manner. phew long story lol ... well anyway I didnt get too much done today cause well my friend had an emergency and had to leave this morning so I did as much as I could then my daughters dad came with a friend and picked me up and took me to get my sofa and they then dropped it off ... and I had this other man deliver my washer to that house so I got that done - they didnt hook it up right but my daughters dad did it for me - then the man came to measure for the lineolum....so hopefully that gets done next week if the price is good. I also have a guy coming from philly tomorrow to see the sectional I am selling I hope he takes it so I can be done with that already then I just have to sell the dryer and some small stuff. Ok well I am off to lie down a lil

hey girls... So did you have fun on your birthday Kay??? sheesh... i haven't been able to stay up till two in the morning since before I got pregnant! and your little guy will be absolutely gorgeous!!! and Christie I think it was me who brought up the meatloaf and potatoes to begin with. My MIL made that for dinner for us on Sunday evening and we still have tons of leftovers... i think i will give it to the dogs tonight! lol I'm glad to hear it sparked you to make one! aren't they just delicious? my kids hate meatloaf though... hence the reason why we have so much leftover! hahaha so i'm watching ANTM and I can't stand that Fatima chick... ooohh she just bugs me! anyways.... i modeled for 10 years..... but only did print work cuz i'm too short! lol but i worked in los angeles and san francisco mostly and traveled around the u.s. for shoots but after having my kids i started to slow down and pretty much completely stopped after my daughter began to enter her teens. Now my daughter is interested in modeling but she is only 4'9"... so she says now that she is gonna be the new herbal essence hair model! lol so yeah i just finished watching ANTM and I'm so glad they kicked off that conceited poser chick! she bugged me too. I like the the black girl... marvina (is that her name?) the one they gave the horse mane hair-do to... from san francisco ... she's pretty cool and I like claire. well freddie took the kids out of the house for a while so I could lay down and get some rest. d__n i'm so exhausted today. they went to gottschalks so taylor could do some shopping... she has a gift card left over from christmas and it has been burning a hole in her pocket!! lol do you guys have a gottschalks where you live? it's like macy's... just wondering.

Aw dawn you can be pale with me!! Oddly enough I had white blond hair and green eyes till I hit 2 then they both got dark.....wish my skin had tanned a little with it! My daughter was so pale when she was born that I honestly couldn't find a white person with lighter skin than her. She's got the perfect sunkissed looking tan skin now and her hair is just like mine; dark brown and it gets golden tones in the summer. She also has my eyes, eye brows, ears, lips, feet, and hands. The only thing is her hair is a little curlier and her nose deffinately isn't my pointy one......it's not exactly her dads either though. I wonder if my son will have black or brown hair and since I have brown eyes and hubbys are dark brown I'm sure he'll have brown also. We're both crossing our fingers he doesn't get my hubby's big ol' nose LOL my mil actually pointed out that it doesn't look like he got it in the ultrasound pictures. I'm fortunate that I get to see so much with the 4D every month but I'm sooooo anxious to see him :D

hey - been busy taking my dd to the dr for her 18 mo checkup - getting shots and all. Then when we got home I put her down for a nap and took a 2 hr one with her! Haven't done that in a while! My sinus's are killing me but I keep forgetting to call the dr. :( All this model talk is funny - a bunch of model moms. :) I did a bunch of modeling too - before I got pregnant - my biggest claim to fame was being in a AAA add that ran about 2 years ago. I was all over the sides of bus's. haha...kind of funny to see it. I took pictures of one of them as we drove past it. Once, I was with my grandma as we pulled up next to a bus at a light and she rolls down her window and tells the bus driver that it's her grandaughter on the side of his bus. I wanted to die of embarra__sment. :) haha...yeah, all this food talk makes me hungry and I just ate a giant bowl of chili, corn bread, strawberries and a choc chip oatmeal cookie. MMMMM!!!!!! Homemade chile too -nice and spicy and sure to keep me up all night with heart burn and gas. :) yay! Well, my dh and I are as white as white can get. No cool ethnic background. We are both pretty dark skinned though so my dd got that. There is a rumor/joke in my dh's family that some great grandmother had an affair with an indian or a black - that's why they have some unique looking people - but it isn't true. When my dd was born the nurse asked if we had any asian in our family because my dd had a sort exotic look to her. Not that I know of! It's because of her eyes - they are very almond shaped. Anyways, got to get ready to watch LOST and American Idol tonight. :) Still haven't had a chance to watch ANTM - have to wait till tomorrow when dh can watch it with me - he has to teach a cla__s tonight. Tyra has gained a lot of weight - and she is really annoying. Have you noticed how she blinks a million times when she's talking to the girls??? So weird.

all this talk about your babies being all ethnic looking.... all mine are blue eyed blondes!!! taylor is the only one who now has dark hair... her father is swedish and mexican (what a combo! lol) and she tans really easy but she still has those blue eyes. the boys are blonde haired blued eyed and fair skinned. i am pretty sure that this little guy will look pretty much like crow. we could tell in the u/s picture that he has got mine and crows nose! and my boys all have my 'fred flintstone' feet! hahaha that seems to be a dominant gene! lol omg i am so starving right now. freddie and the kids are still out shopping... so i just called him and he said they were at target looking at some flats for taylor and i asked him to please bring me a big mac meal!!! taylor was like omg what does she want??? a big mac?? hahaha they know me so well... i am so craving big macs this pregnancy! i am digging that special sauce! lol so yay they are bringing me home one. the last pregnancy i craved taco truck tacos! i ate them everyday. do you all have taco trucks where you live? omg there is one on every corner here in california and they are so bomb! i love the carne asada tacos..... i tried to eat them this pregnancy a few times but they gave me such horrible heartburn that i can't have them anymore. this little guy doesn't like the spicy foods! waa. okay so i guess i will sit here and wait for my big mac and watch a little tv.... i think make me a supermodel is on.... catch ya later.

Hi everyone. Happy Friday! So on the ehtnic thing, I know my kid is going to be a freekin ghost. I have dark brown hair and brown eyes, my mom is Italian and my dad is english and Irish. Then Fred's family is german and irish, with all blond hair and hazel eyes. So I'm hoping King ends up with Fred's hair color and eyes, and my features. Fred's got a big nose and scars from when he was a teenager with acne, so King should get my nose and my skin. But he's got great lips, so if King get's his lips and smooth talking personality I'll be pretty happy. Now on the other hand my neice is mixed with Puerto Rican, and she has the most beautiful complextion and black curly hair, like ringlets. And her brother is mixed with black, and he's got the most amazing tan year round. He has all of my sister's facial features too, so he looks like a white guy with a great tan. And on the model thing, I was always too short and chubby to do it. Those weird recruiter guys would always come up to me and my best friend in the mall, she was 5'9" about 100 lbs, and they would tell us to come in for an interview. Then when we would get there the dude would always tell me to lose 10 lbs then I'd be perfect, and they'd tell her to get a nose job then she'd be prefect. So we just figured it wasn't for us. And you know what's funny, I thinned out when i was like 16, from smoking so much pot. I would get so much energy, then when I stopped smoking around 22, I gained weight again. Fred's a cop and I'm about to be a mother, so smoking pot isn't in the cards for us anymore, haha. Dawn, that story about that little girl as funny, it reminded me of myself so much. The 9 year old that I nanny for is just the same way, she treats her parents like garbage and they deal with it, but to hell if they think I'm gonna let it slide. I mean I know she's going through alot, because her 14 yr old brother is dying of cancer, but it doesn't give her a right to treat everyone like c___p, especially people that are trying to help her. Like yesterday she threw a temper tantrum because I made her practice her piano, and she actually layed on the floor and kicked her feet, and started throwing stuff at me. So like the mature woman that I am, I threw it back at her, haha. It was just a flimsy little piano notes book, but she sure didn't like it when I treated her the way she treated me. And then 10 mins later she went back to hugging on me and everything else, I was like oh no, you need to apologize first and tell me that you're not ever gonna act like a 4 year old again. Man, spoiled rotten kids drive me up a wall. Ok well I gotta eat.

This morning that kid told ME she was not brushing her teeth... she didnt have her toothbrush so I said well put toothpaste on ur finger and get at it ...she just said NO ..well she was in my daughters room and my daughter was on the phone with me cause she calls me from her room haha rather then walk out in the cold house - so I heard her say NO when my daughter pa__sed along my message about doing it with her finger .. I just hung up the phone got up slammed the door went right into the room looked at her and said 'Get up and lets go' she jumped up and went right into the bathroom I was like put out ur finger and i put the toothpaste on it and stood there while she did it - she had this face on her hahaha I was like YOU dont tell ME what your going to do ...Not in my house - she didnt say a word haha 5 mins later she was over it ..then we get to her school to drop her off and i am like ok where do you go in she is like i dont know ...there..no wait ..maybe there .. so finally I did a uturn and went to the front entrance i was like OK have a good one hahahahaha she was like looking at me like wow hahaha I have NO patience especially lately and she was tetering on that edge with me. SO thank god she is in school haha I have my daughter home today she is helping me bring a bunch of stuff to the house - she loads and unloads the truck ...all the totes bags etc I love that girl ... but she is at the age where she needs to help me I dont have any one else that is how I run stuff here - Just me and her and she needs to pull her weight and when violet is 11 she will have similar responsibilities especially as chas will be like 20 and not around anyway haha ... My chas takes out trash picks up dog poo brings in groceries and folds and brings up the laundry after i wash it - I dont think that is horrible for a 11 yr old. Hard work builds character ... thats what i tell her ... lol but its true i think Ok well I am off to start my day and boy is it cold. ok later girls

Hey I had the same type of duties when i was 11. My mom taught us to do our own laundry when i was 11. And you know what, I respected her alot for it. I swear the kids that I nanny for can't even get up and put their stupid dishes in the sink, let alone the dishwasher. I can't figure out if it's because they have so much money or if it's just because they are brats. I mean the 16 year old doesn't even put her stuff in the sink, how the hell is she going to survive when she goes to college and has to cook for herself? Working for people like that makes you realize how much differently you want to raise your own children, and what values you want to instill in them. I mean Fred wants to teach King how to get him a beer by the age of 1, haha.

hello everyone. i'm right there with you dawn and gabby on the respect issue. i don't play that game... ooohh no way! hahaha and i have both of my older kids 'helping' and doing chores. i'm a stay a home mom but that doesn't mean that i'm a 'door mat' either. taylor tries to give me guff about doing the dishes but i really don't care. i tell her to keep that to herself and do the dishes. she always does them. i mean if she wants to have extra privileges like going to the movies or whatever then she has gotta pay her dues... just like i did when i was her age. i had to do my own laundry (which she does) do the dishes (she does that too) and i had to make dinner every weekday night and it had to be ready by 5:30... (she doesn't have to do that- i don't even know if it would be edible lol... except for her signature chicken sandwiches lol) anyways... you are so right it does build character!!! so has anybody received an email that someone has sent you a private message from this forum. i got one this morning and it said it was from jeanette...?? it told me that i had to click on the link and it sent me to the pregnancy info net like moderator forum. i don't really know.. it said i needed to log on and i tried using my log on information that i use here but it said it was incorrect. i don't know. i'm not worried about it but just curious if anyone else has ever received one of these??? so does anyone have any plans for this weekend? i know Christie is going to a concert tonight. lucky. we have to go to this tri-tip sandwich sale tomorrow for taylor's choir and after that we are going to this park/lake to let crow feed the duckies and play around. so my parents called yesterday and they have the dates for taylor and cody to go to maui for their summer vacation and visit. they are leaving june 17th and will be home on july 13th!!! it will be so quiet around here!!! okay well i'm hungry mungry..... catch ya later.

Hi girls, im sitting here starving and you're talking about food???? grrrr. im munching on corn nuts. i was home all day yesterday and my DD wanted to surprise her dad with Jello when he got home from work so we made some strawberry jello with cut up strawberries in it. we made a big pan and a couple little containers and i wanted to bring one of the little ones to work with me and she saw me get it this morning and starting saying it was hers cause she made it for herself and so yeah i didn't want her to start crying so i put it back in the fridge and left p__sed off. the things we do to please.

mauiiiii I am so envious!!! I did not get any emails like that ever from this site - I am leary of putting my log on info in for anything I know if you do that on my space its a hacker you NEVER click a link on myspace lol I am waiting for a man to come see this sectional I really hope he takes it but coming from philly ... I would think he is pretty serious, I just hope it fits in whatever truck he has cause its a BIG sectional lol and bulky too.
