I am quite large up top, and I am afraid to buy new bras now because I know they are going to get bigger close to delivery and afterwards. It was hard enough to find a comfortable bra before I got prego, now I'm not sure where to turn. I am soooooo uncomfortable!! Anyone have the same problem or know where to go to find an affordable comfortable bra?

The only piece of advice I can give you, is don't go to walmart and spend 8 bucks on a bra. I kept trying that, thinking it would work, and ended up spending WAY more than I would have on one good bra because the bras were horrible and I ended up buying a new one every time I was there - without any success. I'm a 34G when nursing, and now on my second pregnancy, I'm already busting out of that size...so who knows how big these babies are going to get. Go to an actual bra store, get fitted and spend the money on one good bra to last through your pregnancy. i did find a nice medela nursing bra that I wore for the last couple months and it was very comfy - and supportive. It was about $40....good luck.

So far I have gotten up to a 42D from 38C. I can still wear the bras I bought a few months ago, I just bought a bra extender from Motherhood. While it does nothing for the cup size, I can extend the length for a more comfortable fit. It cost $1.50 and I got one with 2 hooks and one with 3 hooks.

I also got a bra extender. I'm due in 2 weeks. Before I got the extender, I was buying a new bra almost every few weeks. I was so uncomfortable. I totally recommend it.

it's not how far it goes around, it is the cup size I think....maybe just the underwire...I'm not sure, but it is really uncomfortable. I have lost 13 pounds so far since I have been prego, but my b___bs won't stop growing!!

I took the underwires out of my bras. With my b___bs growing, the underwire would leave indents on my sides. So much more comfy without the underwire, but not as much support.

I was having the same problem up until recently. I was a 36DD before getting preggo now I dson't even want to know so I went to Wal-mart and fount a maturnity nursing bra for 10 bucks. I got it in a size 40 DD and it feels like heaven. The brand is Sweet Nothings form Madinsform. I used to never buy anything but Victoria Secret but I have found this to be the best bra I have ever owned! Good luck!

I actually like the nursing bras from Walmart,I am wearing one now as a matter of fact.My Mom and I went to Bali and got me fitted for 2 bras when
i was pregnant with my daughter, and not only were they really expensive they weren't very comfortable, stiff and made me look coneshaped.I am normally a 34b until my milk comes in,
I then go to a large d,before finally staying a c the rest of the time I am nursing.I am not as big as you,but I suggest trying one of the bras from Walmart,it's only 8 bucks and if you don't like it you aren't out very much.

I went online to lanebryant.com and bought a Goddess bra from the maturnity section. It doesn't have underwire and is VERY comfortable. I believe it was around $25 (don't remember). I think there is also a website for a direct ship from goddessbra.com. Good Luck. Cindy

I went to Wal-Mart last night and their maternity bras only went up to a size 40DD!! I have come to realize my b___bs went from a size 38DD to a 44DDD, that's with losing 13 lbs since being prego too!! Holy c___p, and they are only gonna get bigger! I found a couple in the 'just my size' or something rack. They are okay, the lack of underwire is exactly what I needed though...they are not cute by any means, but hey, do we have patience to be cute anymore?

I live overseas and ordered one from JC Penney without underwire - from the very beginning of pregnancy the underwire made me feel as though I couldn't breathe. Anyway, I guessed and went up a cup size and a chest size and it fits great with a little cup room to grow in, although I imagine it will be too small once my milk comes in.
