Okay, other one was getting too long! Hope everyone had a spectacular weekend. Daylight Savings really screwed me and the kiddos up. I finally told my Dad I was pg, the bad thing is I had to tell him over the phone because he was going to my nephew's baseball game too and I couldn't just walk up and be like Hey Dad, guess what. He was p___sed as expected and I am sure I am written out of the will, but it's not like we had this great relationship before. My sister and I are the black sheep of the family. All of our cousins are doctors and teachers and lawyers and we, well, aren't. But on the bright side I am 16 WEEKS today!!!!!!! I don't think I will feel the bugger move early because I am a bit heavier. I try every night and don't really feel anything. :-( What about everyone else, any movements (Beth :-) ?

Well I went in to take my AFP and just to do a check up. Well, everything looked so good that I chickened out on acting like I really needed an u/s. I just asked if they could do it because I was gonna pay to get a 3D u/s, so he said if I wanted to see my baby that bad then they could give me an u/s on Friday..... I was so happy, so now my appt is Friday the 8th at 11:30AM. Well, Ekay, my uterus is aproximately 1 inch above my belly b___ton, Wow! he didn't say if that was normal or not and I'm not sure. I feel better knowing that It really is my baby not fat, I can't wait to see him..... The doc said it is a little soon and normally they don't like to do the u/s until at least 19weeks, but since I am so anxious he'll let me do it. He was going to do it today but, The u/s technician was swapped... Now I can't wait til Friday. Oh, by the way, I weighed in at 139LBS today.

Congrat's Ekay, on the 16 weeks.... I a 17w1d. based on my due date. Do you go by the date they gave you during yout u/s, or your LMP?

ekay - April 4

I went by my u/s date. Dang, I can't believe your uterus is that high! I have a long torso and mine is still about an inch below my belly b___ton. How tall are you? So you've gained 15 lbs? That ain't bad for a skinny girl like yourself and trust me, you look ALL BABY! I can't wait for your u/s.

ekay - April 4

Citrouille, you are cute as a d__n b___ton!!!!!! You have that 'skinny-pregnant belly' where is looks like you swallowed an orange or something. SUPER-CUTE!!!!! All you guys are so cute. I am still kinda in that in between stage. I am concerned because when I stand up, it looks like I am pg, but if I lay down on my back, all I have is this little hump below my belly b___ton. I am thinking to myself that if I only have this little bump laying down, is the rest of my showing when I am standing up just fat or what? You guys probably think I am obsessed with weight, but I seriously feel right now that my a__s and hips are the size of Louisiana. Is anyone exercising?

Lucky1 - April 4

The Doc said that my uterus is not tilted anymore, so that's a good thing...I can't wait til Friday either, so, the count down begins.......

Kara - April 5

Hey guys, hope you don't mind me posting here. I'm starting to recognize your names from the posts. :) I'm from Australia. I am 16 weeks pregnant, (1st time) due sept 21 and cant wait for my ultrasound in 2 weeks. I am bit worried though that I havn't put on any weight at all, even though I'm eating ok. I started feeling the baby kicking this week, so I guess that's a good sign... My uterus is still 3 fingers below my belly b___ton too! But i'm very tall and long waisted. guess that makes a difference.

ekay - April 5

Good Morning (at least here in Texas) Kara and welcome! I am due on the 19th of September with my 3rd baby. I am starting to think it does make a difference how long your torso is because my uterus is about the same place as yours. I am so jealous you have felt your baby. Sometimes I think I can feel it while I am sleeping, but then again I am not sure. I felt my last two at 16 weeks, but I was a bit skinnier then. I can't wait to feel this one move, it's kinda a load off one's shoulders. Congrats on the pregnancy. How are you feeling otherwise?

Lucky1 - April 5

Hey Ekay, How r ya?! What happened to Beth and Cit, It's been a couple of days, I hope they're coming back... Welcome, Kara, hope you are enjoying your pregnancy so far. So, what do you want, Girl/Boy? what do you think you're having? You gotta fill us in..... :o)

ekay - April 5

Hey Lucky! I am indulging in a bag of pretzels and a Dr. Pepper right now. I allow myself 2 caffeinated drinks a week. :-) I am doing good except for all the oak in the air here. It is killing my allergies. I am floored at our gas prices here-they are $2.15 for regular unleaded. How much is it where you are from? It really sucks because I drive A LOT during the day-sometimes 100 miles a day!

Lucky1 - April 5

The last time I filled up was Saturday and I paid $2.51 for mid-grade(89)... I hope it's gone down some....

Kara - April 5

$2.51 for petrol! Man! The day I have to pay that I start riding my bike! We pay about 1.05 here. Well, I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks which was absolutely amazing, It was my 3rd. At six weeks bub was a black little blob with an egg sac, at 8 weeks a jelly bean with a heart beat, at 12 weeks, TA DA! A little human! I've had a few because of suspected complications, but everything is turning out better than could be expected. Before I got pregnant they told me I may never be able to(3 months later off the pill for medical reasons and the surprise came along!), then when I did, they said I would miscarry my first child. I have a bi-cornurate uterus, which means it has a wall partially down the middle. But now they've decided it's not as bad as they first thought, and everything seems to be perfectly normal!! Just goes to show you shouldn't waste time worrying over things that COULD happen. I still have increased risk of premmie or breech. Anyway, at 12 weeks, I asked him to look for the s_x and he said, we can only occasionally tell this early if its a boy and he's a show off. Then he had a look and said, well, there you go! And there it was! So we think it's a boy but he said don't go painting the nursery blue til the 18 wk ultrasound. I always thought it was a boy, a girl just never occurred to me! My husband would like a girl though. He's a softie. In the end though we don't really care as long as he/she is ok! Been feeling ok otherwise, just faintness/weakness and bit of heart palpitations. Checking in with Obst. this morning, let you know how it goes. Hope you're all well!

ekay - April 5

Wow, what an emotional first trimester for you! I know a woman that has a partial wall down the middle of her uterus too, unfortunately her husbands sperm is not up to par, so she has repeated miscarriages. BUT I am very glad your pregnancy is successful. I can't believe they could s_x your baby so young, but I agree with you on not painting the nursery blue. I am not going to find out the s_x of my baby as I already have a 4 year old boy and a 16 month old girl. I am very excited not to find out actually. And trust me, if work wasn't 20 miles away and if I didn't need to put carseats anywhere I would be hoofing it to work. I can't believe gas is so cheap in Australia! This might sound ignorant but is the money exchange the same for the United States and Australia? Okay, now I feel like a dumba__s for asking that......

Kara - April 6

Not a stupid question! Um I think if I was to go to america, for every dollar of my money I would get 70cents american. So I'd lose money. Converting the price of something in American dollars on the net to Aust. usually means adding on a fair bit! Ignore it if I'm being nosey, but why was your dad upset about you being pregnant?? With 2 kids already, surely you can't be an unmarried teenager still at school!! :) Mind you, these days that's perfectly possible :-) Went to dr this morning, we're both in perfect health. heart beat still sounds like a noisy washing machine to me! I have an ignorant question: how does your health care system work over there? Do you have to have insurance to see a dr or go to hospital? We don't have insurance, I am booked in at the local Public Hospital, and it doesnt' cost me anything. I also get Medicare Rebate on any tests or dr's app - which means I get about 80% of the fee back. Do you guys have things like that?

ekay - April 6

Health Insurance in America is financial rape. I am self employed and I pay $423.00/month for me and my two children. I still come out of pocket $1700.00 for my OB and a lot of money for my kids pediatrician. It is absolutely ridiculous. So how much are you basically paying to have this baby? And regarding my father, no I am not a teenager in school, but I am young. I had my son when I was 18 and my daughter when I was 21. I love my kid's father to death and we have been together for almost 8 years, however since me and my husband have had some ups and downs and I made the mistake of running to daddy about it a couple times, he dissapproves of my situation. Plus the fact I am young doesn't make him too happy, but tough. I have a really good job and support my kids. I am living with my mother right now, which is horrible as she is going through menopause, but I pay for all my own stuff-car, insurance, health insurance, child care etc. My family is a bit weird. My sister is also pg right now, 6 weeks ahead of me, and she got the same response from my parents. The just won't accept that I am my own person and not what they want me to be exactly. I could go on for pages about this, but I think that's about the basics. It's not like I am some crack-whore that keeps popping out puppies with different daddies and am living off the government or something. So what do you do for a living?

Lucky1 - April 6

Hey girls, Obviously all is well for Ekay and Kara, I'm wondering where Cit and Beth went??? I hope they come back soon. Well, all is well for me except for the fact that I think my belly is getting too big too soon!!!! Wow, ekay, do you remember just a few months ago when we were all paranoid, and look at us now!!! It's amazing. I feel the baby moving more and more every day. Kara, That must have been so cool for you to get to see the baby at 12weeks, I haven't seen my baby since my 8 week u/s and I can't wait til Friday. Well, I'll chat with you all later, Kara, I hope all goes well with the Doctor today....

ekay - April 6

I am SO ticked I can't feel my bugger yet! I try everynight with no avail. I know what you are saying Lucky about how we were all paranoid. I still am paranoid because I haven't felt the baby move. I really hope Beth and Citrouille are okay. I will bump up the old BETH thread just in case that is what they are looking for.
