Haa haa Citrouille, thats funny because thats the same thing my mom did thats why I believe in it. But see after she complained about one of the things for dinner she kept on eating more taquitos so that she wuold be "full" and not have to drink her milk. But you are right instead of making them sit there and eating I will just tell them fine get up and go to bed like I was raised. I am NOT making dinner tonight they can have hot pockets, I am not even in the mood to see them and with this migraine it it worse but I will try it with tomorrow nights dinner. Oh and I have told them the same thing, I am not feeding them things that are horribly grose, nor do I even cook things that I know they hate THAT much, so to bed it will be!!

Good Morning Everyone!!! Gee everybody was so quiet yesterday. NM, how was your doctors appointment? Are you feeling better?

NM - April 15

Jennifer, I am feeling better--Thanks, My dr thinks I have a pinched nerve in my back and boy does it HURT! Don't know how I did it. My u/s results were great the Dr said, I am right on schedule. I am so glad its FRIDAY!!!!!

citrouille - April 15

hi everyone! Great to hear your u/s went well NM! Sorry to hear about your back though.. that must be painful.

NM - April 15

Hi Citrouille, Thanks. It is painful--I have never had a pinched nerve. The dr also said, she wouldn't be suprised if I had it till my pregnancy was over. She said, it is very common in pregnant women. The only the thing I can do is to take Tylenol (sp) to reduce swelling and she said, I could use Icy hot, aspercreme, etc.

Glad to hear about your appt., NM. Indeed, thank goodness it's Friday! I have had a week from hell, plus I am out of my happy pills and that makes for a BAD combination. Hope everyone is doing fabulously.

Jennifer - April 15

I agree thank god it is Friday!!! I just can't wait until 4:30. NM, I hope your back gets better that would suck if it was like that for the rest of your pregnancy. Has anyone heard anything about not being able to paint your fingernails and tow nails while pregnant?? I have never heard this, and I was telling the girl that I work with that I painted mine last night, and my belly is starting to get in the way, it was not fun trying to reach my toes...anyway, she said that her friend can't paint hers because she is b___st feeding, just wondering if it is OK when you are pregnant???

NM - April 15

I am leaving early today. In two hours, starting my weekend early. I have never heard of that before. I still paint my fingernails and try my toe nails.

NM - April 15

Thanks Ekay, it has been one long week. Glad it is almost over!!!

Jennifer - April 15

NM, I wish I had your schedule, you seem to be able to come and go as you please. I would love that, but I would never work. haha

Beth - April 15

Good morning everyone, and yes thank gosh it is Friday!!!! It is a MUCH better day today!! :0) NM, glad to hear your apt went well, sorry about the pinched nerve. . .OUCH :0(. Jennifer, I have never heard of not being able to paint your nails, if it is because of the fumes I would just make sure you are in a well ventalated space. Pregnant woman now a days can still even paint a room if they want to with the way paint is made these days ans as long as the windows are open and it is a well ventalated area. I was in the middle of painting our house when I found out I was pg, I said I was still going to paint and the fiance said NO WAY, only because we have vaulted ceilings and I would need to be up and down on a ladder to do all the trim. . .BUT if someone kind enough would do all the trim for me I could paint the rest, haa haa. Oh and I get to leave early to. . .not for fun though, I have a dr's apt to get my lovely nose cautorized today.

citrouille - April 15

I don't think it is dangerous to paint your nails but i'd be worried about the fumes from nail polish remover. I've been avoiding doing my nails because of that;. i'm sure I'm just being paranoid though!

NM - April 15

I just have a really nice boss. Fridays are always slow here.

Jennifer - April 15

I wish I could leave early too!!!! Well that is good to hear that you guys haven't heard about the painting of the nail thing either, because I paint mine at least once a week. Good thing the toes don't need to be done as often, becasue I am going to have a problem reaching them soon. I will have to get my darling husband to paint them for me. hahaha, yeah as if he would!!!

citrouille - April 15

i'd like to paint my appartment but i'm still worried about the fumes. is there special odourless paint? Also would that be dangerous to do at 6 or 7 months pregnant?

Beth - April 15

I used to work in the paint dept at lovely Home Depot and have learned that as long as it is a water based paint, which most are now a days (they have gotten rid of or are faising out interior oil based paint) that even pregnant you can still paint. I do not know of a fumeless paint, but the way paint is made now a days you would be suprised at how truly little it does smell, unless of course you are in a freshly painted room with all the windows shut then you can smell it. I believe it is always safe as long as you are in a good condition to begin with and like I said, you can't be up and down on ladders to much, basically keep your feet on the ground and paint, haa haa.
