Hi Ladies. I hope you all don't mind that I started a new thread. After Numommy's loss, it just didn't seem right to continue to post there with our daily updates, but I really wanted to continue to hear about everyone and stay connected. I hope that I didn't overstep. I hope everyone is doing well, and that the ms has eased. Baby(s?) and I have our ultrasound this afternoon, so I am anxiously awaiting that. Hubby is meeting me there too. Hope to find out the s_x. Talk to you all soon.

Julie - thanks so much for starting a new thread! I thought about doing it too. I felt guilty about posting anything in there after hearing her news. It was a reality check for me though. I cried for her and it just reminded me that nothing is guaranteed. Well new thread, fresh start :) Good luck at your u/s, keep us posted! I went to the drs on Friday but it was just a blood test. My next apt is the 26th, although I may reschedule it for earlier in the week, hopefully the babies are cooperating and we can see what we are having. Hope everyone is doing great!

Hi Ashley. Well I had the ultrasound today, and there is just the one.....lol. Can you hear my husband's sigh of relief? Anyway, the technician actually got a little annoyed because the baby was moving around so much. Made her job a little harder I guess, but it makes me feel good to know baby is active in there. She had a tough time getting all of the pictures she needed, and only gave us her "best guess" as to the s_x. She thinks girl, but told us not to put too much weight in it, and said she wasn't going to include the s_x in her report....lol. I guess we will get the rest of her report from the doctor on Wed, but I have a feeling my OB will be sending me for another ultrasound, cause it doesn't sound like she will be getting a lot of info and my OB is a perfectionist. If it is a girl, we will have 2 boys and 1 girl. Are you hoping for one of each?

Ashley2121 - June 16

Thats great the baby is so active! How far along are you? Hopefully your dr does send you for another u/s, that way you can know for sure what you are having :) We are hoping for 1 of each. My DH is scared its going to be 2 girls hehehe, I just hope the babies are cooperating next week. We only have names picked out so far for 1 of each and we cant think of 2 girls names or 2 boys names that we like so maybe its a sign????

Julie..... thanks for the new thread. I felt the same way about not posting on the other one after numommy's loss. I hope she is hanging in there and is blessed with another little one soon. As for me, i'm 16 weeks now! Had Dr appt yesterday and all is well. I was asking about these different pains i've been having and she said that it's round ligament pain, which somehow i've never heard of. I thought i've looked up everything about pregnancy LOL! So my ultrasound appointment is July 13th and i CAN'T WAIT! I'm so excited to see what's in there and want to know the gender so we can start on the nursery!

Thanks Julie for restarting this thread. I hope nummommy is finding some comfort in the face of what she has gone through. Prayn - I too asked my dr about the strange pains I was getting. They basically said the same thing - that it was likely a combo of round ligament pain and other 'growing pains' and to only worry if it gets really severe. I don't mind the cramping if it means the twins are growing fast (hopefully still keeping up with the standards for singletons!). I'm 18 weeks now and the pains have definitely lessened. I am a terrible pregnant woman, though - worry, worry, worry...now I am wondering why I haven't felt any real kicks or movements yet. Some fluttering here or there, but nothing significant. Have you guys been feeling any movements yet?

JulieK - June 16

I am 18 weeks along too. I have felt the flutterings since about week 12, but nothing consistant. Lying in bed on the weekend I felt the first real kick, but that was just because I happened to have my hand on my belly at the time, it was just good timing. I called my 3 year old to come and feel it and he got so excited. He ran and told his daddy that he got to feel the baby move, it was so cute. From what I have read a singleton is only about 5 1/2 inches long at 18 weeks, so your twins would likely be even a little smaller than that I would think. As long as you are feeling the flutters I wouldn't worry.

Alright ladies this may be TMI but I have a question about the lovely side effects of pregnancy :) Have any of you had internal hemorrhoids? It only hurts when I go #2, not always but when it does OUCH!!!! So enough about that hehe. How is everyone doing?

JulieK - June 17

lol Ashley....yes! And with this pregnancy so much earlier than with my first two. Mine are all the time though, and not just painful but itchy too. Which really sucks cause it isn't an area you can scratch...at least not with any dignity, rofl. A nice long soak in the tub each night though does wonders for mine. The varicose veins on my legs popped up really quick with this pregnancy too. I feel so glamourous.

mm28 - June 17

Wow - that sounds painful. Haven't gotten them yet - it may be the metamucil that helps (basically just fiber but it keeps everything moving in the intestines). Julie - I glanced at myself in the mirror a couple days ago and noticed the back of my knees suddenly look like someone drew in blue magic marker all over them. Ugh! I hope the veins will go away after the babies are born.

GloriaD - June 19

Thanks for the new post, what an awful trial for NUMOMMY's spirit/faith. I think of her often and hope she is okay. 18 weeks in a few minutes, finally! This pregnancy has been so eventful that its crazy! All my new meds seem to be working for me, at least I can breathe and function. Tomorrow is my "detailed" ultrasound. Since we already know its a boy I'm not nearly as excited but its still cool to see baby. We have no clue on names at this point. Today was the last day of school for my two big kids so now we're officially on summer break so I'm sure things will be busy around my house. I haven't felt baby move yet. I think its still in the normal stage so not worried. Still get nauseous at night but I've gotten used to it. No hemorrhoids/vein issues to report, just a belly that's beginning to look preggo. There's such a difference on how I've carried my boys/girls! The girls have been little basketb___s and the boys feel like they're wrapped around my intestines! So weird...... Hope everyone is well!

refreshed - June 21

hi everyone, my computer has been broken fo tooooooo long!! i think i last posted on here when i was 14 weeks and im 19 weeks now. i hope everyone is doing good. i had a bt of a scare last night, (bit tmi) but i woke up with wet knickers and it felt a bit heavy down there so i rang my midwife and she said to go to the hospital. but anyway i got there and it was only an infection!! got to see my baby again, he/she has got really long legs now! anyone else had any wierd symptoms or changes?

GloriaD - June 22

Happy Father's Day! What an awful rainy day here though:( My u/s on Friday went well except that the placenta is partially covering the cervix, called it placenta previa. I guess there's still a chance that as the uterus grows it will move enough to allow baby to get out but that by 28 weeks if its still blocking I'll get a c-section. I'm not too excited about that, I've had three v____al easy births but ya deal with what you have. I also signed the paperwork to have a tubal ligation done after the birth so that I don't end up back on this site next year with another oops! DH had a vasectomy back in March and its not going so hot.... who knew you could have issues with a vasectomy, they're supposed to be so easy!!!! We're taking our first camping trip of the summer on Thursday. Last time I was preggo and we camped I discovered it was way too difficult but I was also 6 weeks from delivery so I'm thinking I should be okay with this trip. I also think that I can feel baby moving internally. Not so much where I can feel/see it on the outside, just sometimes it feels like he's attaching himself to my kidneys!!!! I visit the dr. every two weeks these days, that's a lot of visits by the time November rolls around! I hope everyone is hanging in there and enjoying their pregnancy!

Ashley2121 - June 22

GloriaD - I am sure everything will be ok and like you said you deal with what you have, as long as you deliver a healthy baby everything else is nothing. Have fun camping!! refreshed - Welcome back:) I am glad to hear it was just an infection an not anything serious. I had a small one around 11/12 weeks and it kept making my have a LIGHT pink/brownish discharge for about 1 1/2 weeks, it was so stressful cuz I was freaking myself out about the discharge. But so far it has cleared up and hasnt been back. Wish me luck today!!!!! I have an appt this afternoon and hopefully the babies will let us see their goods. I am getting sick of people calling/emailing/texting me almost everyday to know if I found out what I am having yet - its pretty annoying!!!

littlekmom - June 22

Had an ultrasound on Friday and found out that it's a girl! I'm so excited (and husband is in mourning)--that makes two girls for us!

mm28 - June 22

Littlek - ha! My husband and yours could relate to each other :). So exciting - congrats! We had our 19 week checkup this morning and everything looked perfect. They were wiggling around like crazy. I'm getting impatient for them to get here already!
