My Book says the 3rd trimester starts at 27 weeks.
Oh and for all those Canadians on this forum, Happy Canada Day! I am off to the parade here. Maybe they will toss candy here? Hmmm Candy.
I have noticed some people staring. I think most of it has to do with the fact that they are building up the courage to ask me how far along I am. I know you can tell by looking at me but I know for myself I don't ask until that person or someone who knows brings it up.
Well all of you have a great day!

Munchmom ~ My shower is in Park Ridge on the 11th! So odd. I know where Decatur is, kinda near Champaign I think, about 3 hours south of where I grew up! I was near Decatur for some reason, but can't remember why, any colleges close? Maybe a party or something

So I'm sure its not until the 3rd trimester, but when does your belly b___ton pop? Does it happen to everyone, or almost everyone?

SAMARA-this is my 3rd pregnancy and my belly b___ton has never popped, so definitely depends on each individual. By the way, is Samara your real first name? I have only ever run across one girl named this before, such a pretty name....what does it mean?

Samara~~ Oh really the 11th also, are you excited? Is this your first baby?
I so understand how you ladies feel about people staring. I took my little boy to school today and one of the other teachers in the building was like wow you have gotten BIG!! Are you serious? I was like well not really you just have not seen me in a month. It was like did you really say that I have gotten big. It makes me mad.

lol Samara. I had a friend of mine come into work and exclaim, "Wow, are you ever getting fat!" I guess I should take that as a compliment because everyone else looks at me and almost doesn't believe I'm pregnant. Most people think I'm only a few months along and I'm almost 6 months!!
I love that every random person wants to give you their awful advice (don't eat watermelons?!). lol I try to shrug it off by saying, "Oh, thank you. We've already decided on a feeding process/parenting philosophy (or whatever other thing they try to advise you on)".
Regarding the baby shower - I feel silly saying this, but I am a little afraid of having one. Me and my hubby are married just over a year (May 31st) and the horror of being in front of 45 people staring at me for my wedding shower...no thank you. We went to a really big church and everyone is invited and half of the people you don't know. Plus, I am terrible at thank you cards. I still haven't finished all mine from my wedding! :S
Baby is finally moving regularly, which is awesome. And my husband can feel him moving and kicking. It's so exciting to see him get excited about the baby!
Have a great day everyone!
PS - What does DH mean? I see you all using it and I'm so lost! :)

Di- DH means Dear Husband.
Okay so I feel weird by saying this. But as a kid I always wanted 6 kids. then I switched to 4. However, because I am not loving pregnancy I don't know if I will even want to do this again. So my hubby might get his wish and only have two kids. But who knows the next time I could feel great and then everything will change.
Hey, so for the one girl, the Duggars (josh and Anna) they are having a girl too about the same time.
Okay, so I am trying to figure out what I need for the baby. I feel overwhelmed when I think of what I need to get. Well I should go I have lots to do.

MNMOM- No its not my real name, its a nickname I picked up.
My hubbys friends were at the house one day and watching the movie "The Ring" I had crazy long hair and I was dying it myself one of the friends walked in the bathroom when I had all my hair in front of my face & clumped together. Said I looked just like the girl in the movie "Samara" I love the name & it kinda stuck, mostly just with hubbys friends

Hey all! Sorry I haven't been on in forever...we don't have Internet in our new place but I still get all of your posts through email on my phone :) glad everything seems to be going well for all of you!
Di- when I read your post, I completely understood where you were coming from! My husband and I also married last year and went to a large church and I still have plenty of thank you notes to do from both the wedding and the bridal shower!! So I'm also hesitant to have another shower although we definitely could use the help!

Hey ladies, I was wondering has anyone else not found out what they are having or has everyone found out by now? I just wanted to see if I was still the only mommy on her that is going to have a GIRL? I know alot of you are having BOYS, which is crazy all these boys with one girl.
Have you guys decied on what you are going to name your little one? I think we have decided on a name for this little girl. He first name is so unusual I am not going to say it until later, I have always had a problem with people taking my babys name. It happened with my first when we told people his name. Then this chic named her son the exact same thing. Good thing I had a scheduled c section and my little one came here first. Oh well just asking.
Everyones feeling there little ones moving now right? It is so amazing to feel that. Even though this is my second pregnancy, its still amazing. Its even nicer that my 4 1/2 year old gets to feel it. She does not move for daddy and grandma, but she moves all the time for her big brother.
Oh yeah her middle name will be Noelle

Munchmom - this is jsut odd, we're both having showers on the same date, both in IL and both having girls! Whats your due date? Technically this is my 2nd pregnancy, 1st baby.
I lost one in January of this year, very early on, I have to say it was harder to go through then I expected. But then I was thrilled to be pregnant again in Feb. (Dr. gave us the ok to keep trying since the 1st was lost so early on)

munchmom04- My husband and I are having a little bit of a hard time deciding on a name for our son. He wants one name and I want another. Or I like a name and he says, are you kidding me? LOL! I do like the name that he likes, but it doesn't go...yeah that's it for me. He likes the name Trent. I like names like, Henry...Thomas...Edward, needless to say, he doesn't. If we do go with Trent his middle name will most likely be Alexander. I would like to have Alexander be his first name, but I suppose we will see soon enough. I have been telling my husband that I think we should meet our son first and then decide on a name, but he would like him to be named before hand. I don't know, this seems to be a hard process for us. What you name your child, they will have for the rest of their lives, or at least until they are old enough to change it!
Yes, I have been feeling my little one move A LOT! He was mostly kicking for a while, and just recently he started moving a lot too. I always say he is so cute, even though I don't know what he looks like LOL! I don't think there is a way for him to not be cute though. I love feeling his movements even though sometimes they catch me off guard. In my first trimester I hated being pregnant...second got better and better...and now that I am just barely into my third, I am LOVING IT! I am sure I will get more and more uncomfortable as time goes on, but for right now I love this. I told my husband at first how much I hated this and that this would be our one and only child...but now I am thinking otherwise. I told him the other night that when our little guy is born, I will be wishing I was pregnant again!

Oh my gosh the name game...lol hubby and I cannot agree either. I like Brady, Ian, Jackson, dh doesn't like them. He likes weird Irish names, just because they're Irish. We settled on Mason, but I'm not sure if it'll stick or not. I seem to change my mind pretty often. We also can't agree on a middle name. I wanted to use my dad's middle name (Russell). I don't like the name, but I just wanted to honor my dad because my niece is named after my mom who pa__sed away, but my dad has done so much for me and my siblings since my mom pa__sed away that I feel like he should be honored too. Hubby hates the name Russell because he knew a Russell when he was a kid who wasn't nice. But my dad's first name is Bruce, and that does not make a good middle name. Lol my poor little boy is not going to have a name...

Well Dice that is so rea__suring that it is okay that I might not like pregnancy right now but the next one I might love. I have only enjoyed the movements right now.
As for baby names, since we do not know the s_x of the baby we have to think of two names. We are happy with both we picked out. We have had names since we entered into our second trimester. The beauty of it is we have one name left over for the next one and then we only need to think of one more. Again I am super excited to meet my baby because I am excited if it is a boy or a girl...

Samara~~ well my shower will be here in Texas, I am from Il though. My fam will all be here thats why it is going to be here next weekend. WOW another girl, I thought that I was the only one. I guess not. That good, I am due the 27th of October but I have to have a repeat c section (my son was breech), so I am going to schedule it for the 19th my grandmothers birthday. Im sorry to hear that you lost a baby.
Dice~~ yeah i know how you feel about you like one name and he likes another. We had that problem at first. Well until I told him that she has to have a name that is unique and we found her name. Which is so cute.
Les~~ It really did not matter what her first name was going to be I wanted a M, because my sons name start with a M. But then her middle name had to start with a N like the rest of us (son, hubby & mine) so that was hard. But once I said ok it does not have to start with a M, we found her name.
Aww its so cute to see and hear ladies picking out names for their little ones. I have been feeling little Noelle move all the time. It seems like she is the most active right after I eat, and when I get ready to go to bed (that might be because I always have a gla__s of chocolate milk right before bed) LOL. I can not see it from the outside yet, and I can not wait for my son to be able to see it.

Every once in a while I can see my belly popping from his kicks (or punches...who knows lol). But then yesterday he was kicking so hard you could see it and feel it plain as day. My husband and stepson were so shocked! My little guy is most active when I am leaning over my desk at work or just generally when I am sitting or laying down in bed at night. I rarely feel him when I am standing or walking around. But he sure is active!! It is definitely an incredible feeling.
