MNMOM - July 16

munchmom-do you know where your placenta is placed? I ask because with this pregnancy my placenta is in the front of my uterus, which means I feel much less movement because the placenta absorbs the movements and the movements I do feel are much less forceful then with the other 2 babies I have had. So if you are like me then your experience with feeling the baby will be much different than if your placenta were attached in the back of your uterus.

Dice~~~ no, i have not done a kick count chart. I had heard other moms on other boards talking about it, but as soon as I say ok I have not felt you all day and I get ready to call the doc she will move. I dont know what is going on with her. I try to lay on my side a try to feel her, but she dont always move when I do it. MNMOM~~ I dont think that they told me where my placenta is placed. I dont think she told me that it was in the way to feel her move. With my son 5 years ago I dont know if i felt him move as much either. I dont want to be a pain and be calling the doc every week because she does not move that much. I dont know I might call the nurse and ask her what she thinks. Thanks ladies

Thanks for your thoughts girls! Under normal circ_mstances I would never throw my own shower, but I think we'll have a baby-que and not expect anyone to bring gifts. So is everyone feeling the baby kick a lot and hard? I feel the baby kick once in a while, but not hard or anything just like big bubbles popping

munchmom04 - July 17

samara~~ a baby-que sonds cute, as long as you are doing what you want to do you will be happy. I believe that my little Noelle is lazy, at time I can go hours before I feel her kicking me. Then at other times she will not sit still. I asked my mom and she said well maybe she is lazy like her mom (WOW are you serious), but its ok though. I know that she is good.

My little guy is VERY active. He kicks hard sometimes too. It kinda catches me by surprise. At my last ultrasound he was flipped around. Usually his head is sitting on my cervix, but this time his feet were right there! She kept measuring my cervix and all of a sudden you'd see a foot fly onto the screen. The tech was laughing at how active he is. I'm like oh boy I am in trouble!!

les- Your little guy sounds so cute! I would love to see that. As I sit here writing this...my little man is having the hiccups. I love feeling that, it is so funny! Last night I was lying on my back in bed and feeling around my belly. Near my belly b___ton I felt a more round shape and a__sumed that was his head. My husband asked how did I know it wasn't his b___t...I told him we would have to wait until he kicked to know for sure. Not more then two minutes later he kicked down low confirming what I thought. It was amazing!! I am 29 weeks as of yesterday...now that I am in the home stretch I will be feeling a lot more I a__sume. He should be gaining about a half pound a week or an ounce a day...so as he gets bigger I would think I will be able to feel easier where his head or b___t is. (Crazy little guy just moved a ton. I love him so much already!)

I'm 26 weeks this week and I've felt her kick but not super regularly or very hard, that being said I was far from having a flat stomach before pregnancy, I wonder if that extra padding is blocking the harshness of her kicks

munchmom04 - July 20

samara~~ you know what i feel the same way, I was just thinking that this little firl was lazy, but maybe all the extra padding makes it hard for me to feel her kicks. humm idk I do know that she does move and kick me every day, sometimes it does take her a while, but she does it. My mom said that she is in her growing phase and she sleeps alot. I guess that is another reason why i barley feel her.

munchmom04 - July 20

oh yeah i will be 26 weeks tomorrow

Maybe size is a factor because I was a size 2 before I got pregnant and I can feel his movement quite often and sometimes pretty hard. But I am shocked how big my belly is right now. I don't know if it's because I am short (5'1") so maybe there is just nowhere for it to go. But I can't believe that I have 3 months left...I'm going to tip over!! How much have you ladies all gained so far if you don't mind me asking?

Dicegirl15 - July 20

Samara and muncmom04- I too was FAR from having a flat belly before pregnancy. I started out overweight and I obviously still am...but now with a cute pregnant belly showing, I love it! I am not so sure that having the extra padding means feeling less. I will be 30 weeks this Thursday, but I have been feeling my little man move for weeks now! He has very hard kicks and I can even see them outside, it is amazing. I have been able to see the kicks and movements for some time now. But munchmom, it does make sense that your little girl could be growing and sleeping a lot. It wouldn't surprise me if that were the reason, your mother sounds very wise! les706- As I said I am overweight, but I too am a little shocked at how big my belly is already. My Mom says it has a ways to go and will bet much bigger. I didn't know it was possible to be any bigger than I am right now!!! LOL to tipping over, it really made me laugh! As far as what I have gained...In my first trimester I was so sick that I actually lost 10 pounds and have just now gained back to where I was prier to being sick. I suppose you could say that I have gained about 13 or so pounds so far, but that is after losing the 10...so I like to say that I am only up 3 pounds, LOL! With only about 10 weeks or so left until my due date (October 1st.)...I am hoping that I don't gain too much more. That way it will be a lot easier losing the "extra" after he is born. I hope everyone is well and still comfortable in your pregnancies!

Well ladies, this little one has been busy all day long. I thought that she would be sleep because I went to work with my hubby today he works as a truck driver and there were many bumps and things. I did not feel her that much this am but around noon, I guess she was up and active. I dont know how much I have gained so far, I try not to ask and not let her tell me when I go in. I think I have not gained as much as I did with my little boy. I gained 40 to 45lbs with him. I am going to ask when we go back in in two weeks. I am curious to know now. Dice~~ Yeah my mom knows what she is talking about, I ask her alot all the time because she is a nurse.

Samara - July 21

You know right after I wrote how I hardly feel her kick she started treating me like a punching bag, haha so odd. They still don't hurt, but I can feel them OMG I can't believe how far along I am, feels like I just announced my pregnancy. Someone asked me this weekend if I'm sick of being pregnant yet, it kinda threw me off guard, I know a lot of women get to that point later on but at 26 weeks, I'm really glad I'm not sick of it yet, we have a ways to go still! Anyone else get asked if their sick of it yet?

munchmom04 - July 21

actaull no one has asked me if i am sick of being preggo yet. Hubby has said he is so ready for it to be over, poor guy he said that I am so not into s_x like i was when i was preggo with our son. I told him sorry each pregnancy is different. LOL he will get over it. I told him that I was going to try a little harder since i know that he wants it more now. we will see how that actually works out. But today i am 26 weeks

Samara - July 21

I'm into s_x more, which hubby totally appreciates, only problem, I can hardly stay awake past like 9:30pm

munchmom04 - July 21

umm i sleep well, well i dont know because i get up like two or three times a night to go to the bathroom and to get a nice tall gla__s of chocolate milk with some roasted honey peanuts (wow I really hate nuts) but with the cold chocolate milk they are not that bad. I go to bed kind of late about 11 or so, and my son wakes me up around 8 or 9ish.
