Hey guys...I have seen this board a couple of times, but am usually on the IVF board in the infertility section. I didn't want to join during the 1st-tri because I didn't want to jinx us :o) Our story: Due Oct 20 w/ twins...we find out what they are on May 21! We will have a planned c at the end of Sep or beginning of Oct due to a sx I had last year. They removed 3 fibroids and a ton of endo (8hrs in sx), and no matter how long I heal for, my uterus cannot take full labor. I'm 32 and DH is 36. We live in Ft. Worth. I have Stage IV Endo, so basically permanently blocked (cuz of scars) tubes. IVF was our only option and luckily it worked :o) I am 16wks 1 day today! I know some of you ladies from the infertility forum, so it's nice to see familiar faces!!! Good luck ladies and look forward to y'all accepting me on here :o)

Hey Jaqi~~ I remember talking with you on the infetility March IUI & BFP board. You gave me some good advice on there before. I am glad to hear that you and the babies are doing good It sucks that everyone is finding out what they are having before me. Im upset. LOL. Anyways as of today I am 15 wkks 1 day. We go in for our gender scan on the 8th of June. I am so thinking about amking an appt with a 3d 4d clinic. I dont know why we have to wait so long. I will be 20 weeks when we will know. That sucks. I am going to find a clinic around here, I know that there is one in Plano I might check out. My mom and hubby told me not to waste the money because its a GIRL, but we will see. Good Luck ladies

Hey munchmom, I remember you too. We are about a week apart. I think we went to the same drs (ARCC). I also remember your name because a nickname for my cat is "Munchy or Munch"...hehe His name is Smooshy (He's a Red-Flammed Persian. We are planning to get the 3D/4D pics done also. A friend of mine who is about to be 6mos is going to a place in Ft. Worth. They say you need to be 6mos for the best quality. She told me that they have several places around the Metroplex. The place she is going to is offering a special thru June or July. They are normally like $400 but it's now like $150 or $200. I will text her today and ask her which clinic it is and let you know. Yeah, it sucks when others are ahead of you and get to find out quicker. I am doing the same. My appt is May 21 and it seems like years away!! I will be 18wks 2days at that time...DH says I'm as bad as a kid because I am counting down every second..haha

When did you guys first feel the baby(ies) moving? I feel like everyone is getting to feel them but me :o( Heck, I don't even know what to look for, since this is my first time. I would think though that with twins I should feel someone kicking or punching me already! haha The twinges and pulls I feel are what I sum up to be as growing/stretching pains.

Jaqi~~ hey we did go to the same RE's. Please do check with your firend and let me know. I guess I will be stuck waiting until the the 8th of June before I know anything. So what are you guys thinking they are? My hubby and mom thinks this little one is a GIRL, my son really dont care either way. I would like a GIRL but if its a BOY then that is GREAT also. I just want to go ahead and know already. I think that I am in a hurry to go shopping. I have not bought anything yet, not even anything nutural in color. As far as feeling the little one move, this one has been moving since last week. It shocked me at first because I did not realize it was the baby, I thought it was too soon, but I guess not. My son tries to feel it but its hard to feel on the outside right now. I told him maybe in a few weeks he will be able to feel it. Well Good luck on your gender sono.
blueeyedgirl~ hi congrads on the first baby. Good to hear that all is going well. Yeah the second trimester is so much better than the first. I had so many issues in the first.
Alright ladies all finding out the gender in a few weeks be sure to post and let us know what those little angels are.

Wow, I am excited that everyone seems to be so doing well!
Munchmom - I'm so happy you're feeling the baby already! I am really looking forward to that!
Blueeyedgirl - Congrats! This is my first child, too. Are you finding anything too much to handle? Did you have any morning sickness? I bet you're excited to find out the gender.
Jacqui - I'm still waiting for that first movement, too. I know it's far too early (I'm not even 4 months), but still excited!
Melay86 - I didn't gain 1 lb during my first trimester and lost about 4. lol Makes me nervous.
Wunder75 - You're so lucky to be only showing in your belly; I have such fear of ballooning all over. It's hard NOT to be nervous about the appointments.
MNMOM - We have names picked out already for boys and girls; only 1 girl name though. I'm glad both my husband and I have a say...if I left it all up to him *eye roll*
I am wondering if anyone else is feeling as emotional as I? It seems that every other day I am grumpy and/or sad all day with only brief periods of happiness. I feel really bad for my poor husband. :(

Hey all! Found out we're having a boy!! I had a gut feeling but am still very excited! Went out and bought a few boy clothing items to celebrate :) And then the doctor called today and said that the baby looks healthy which was a wonderful relief. Did anyone else have an ultrasound at 18 weeks? If so, how much did your baby weigh?

Di- I am an emotional person to begin with, but I am finding that being pregnant intensifies it horribly. I didn't really notice until my husband pointed it out to me. Now I am noticing that I cry for no good reason and at stupid things like him leaving for work. I also have outbursts at him. Most of the time he is doing nothing wrong and I freak. It must have something to do with the hormones I am guessing lol!
melay- I am so happy for you! My gut feeling tells me that I am having a boy also. It is the weirdest thing. Up until a few weeks ago I was dead set on the fact that I was carrying a boy... but then I started to feel "girly". I don't know for sure anymore. I have a doctor's appointment coming up on the 12th and an u/s on the 19th. I am looking forward to seeing what is going on in there. I also hope that the baby's legs are spread open lol! I want to know what we are having so badly!
It seems that I am in the same boat as a lot of you, not knowing if the feeling I am feeling is the baby moving or something else. I have felt definite movement before, or what I a__sume was. I just wish that the baby would move more so that I could know that everything is alright! I am sure that it is and I am worrying for no reason, but one never knows for ABSOLUTE sure!!!!! I also wish that I was showing! My friend told me to give it a couple of weeks and I would be surprised! I sure hope she is right, I want the world to know I am pregnant on first sight! As for now I will have to be happy with feeling my belly when I am laying down. That seems to be the only time I can feel my bump.
I am 19 wks 1 day today and I am pretty sure I can tell where in my uterus that baby is. One side or the other is always harder. We have a doppler and the other day I felt one side was harder than the other and put the doppler on that spot, and sure enough...thump thump thump! Can anyone else tell this?

DiGiacomo-I am crazy emotional.Out of control. Cried all day yesterday for no real great reason, couldn't control myself. And I was at work. That sucked. So everyone tells me I must be having a girl this time and I am on hormone-overload!

Hey Everyone,
dicegirl - I can definitely tell that one side is harder than the other. The baby likes to hang out on the right. I wonder, though, if when I'm trying to figure out where he/she is, that I'm pressing on the head or the bum. It makes me laugh.
I'm pretty sure I've started feeling movements this week (19w today). The baby's really low, and when I sit too upright or lean forward for too long, it's like the kid is mad at me and starts punching and kicking. It feels like someone poking a finger into my lower abdomen. Again, usually on the right side. I never got the flutter that people talk about, but this definitely feels different than anything I've ever felt before.
I haven't been too emotional. I had one outburst at my husband pretty early on, and just keep my mouth shut now. I have always been pretty sentimental, though, and that has gotten worse, so to speak. I get weepy more easily. I was soooo teary when my dad sent me flowers the other day for Mother's Day - beautiful purple irises.
Oh, and Tuesday's the big day. I'm feeling "girl" and so are most people who know us, but I don't know how much stock I put in the intuition thing. If the baby cooperates, then we'll know for sure.

Hi everyone ~ Our u/s last week at 18 wks shows it's a girl. I was reading somewhere that the higher h/b's about 150 - 160 usually is a girl and ours was showing at about 160 all this time.
Don't know if any truth to the h/b thing. And it said that h/b in the 120's / 130's to be a boy. Let's see how everyone's fares out with that. It's interesting, don't know if any real basis for that.
By the way, ASH - We heard both twins h/b at 7 weeks and right up until 10 weeks. Then at the 12 wk u/s , one did not show the h/b. At our last u/s at 18 wk, they already see it diminishing in size, and said that in a few more weeks probably be fully absorbed in my body. Thought I would bleed or show some signs , but nothing yet. It was emotional for the first few days and then I went to Acupuncture and in that session, I floated with my live baby carrying our lost lil one and delivered it to a safe place (sort of in the heavens) and gave it sort of a mental burial and lots of love... and had it bless us and thanked it for the short but exciting time we all had together... Once out of the session, I felt a new sense of calm and then was able to settle into the p/g again.
Now, I am lookng for baby girl names. Haven't yet started on clothes shopping.
I did have Nausea and vomiting first few months, and it is better since week 15. Still some uncomfy days, but mostly am able to handle it.
ANYONE Having incredible HUNGER??? INSATIABLE even after eating and eating and drinking??? I am lost. It just started this morning. Getting tired of eating now and feeling the emptiness.
I also felt a Slight actual "kicking" just now and it was amazing!! And also weird. Wonder if it was baby. Right against near belly b___ton area. :) Wow!! We are a couple days from 19 weeks, so maybe it could have been the baby. Good chance.

Where's everyone gone?
Well, we had an ultrasound today - 19w4d. And we're having a boy! Until last night, when we both dreamed that he was a boy, we were pretty sure that he was a little girl in there. But not after we woke up.
They did find choroid plexus cysts, so we'll have a follow up in four weeks. With the cysts, there's a 1% chance that the baby has trisomy 18. They said, that most of the time, the cysts go away in 3-4 weeks on their own. And he didn't have any other indicators, which reduces the likelihood to less than 1%. So we'll do the ultrasound, and then if they aren't gone, we'll probably do an amnio. The dr. was very rea__suring, but didn't candy-coat the fact that trisomy 18 is "not compatible with life".
I'm not panicking - surprisingly calm about this - but it is the first bump we've hit, so it's weird.
I don't want to end this on a down-note. We are so excited to stop saying "it", and finally have our little "J." (James Philip). Can't wait to see that next ultrasound and know that everything is going well.
Keep posting ladies. I want updates!

Hi Girls, I just got back from my 16 wk appt. I was so relieved to hear the beatbeat as it has been 5 weeks since I have been in and I am not feeling movement yet. Dr. said everything is going perfectly. Heartbeat was 150. Hmmm....wondering if it could be a girl? My 2 boys were always I think in the 130's and 140's. I will get the results of the quad screen in a week, will be nervous until then. I am finally in a good mood for a change! Hurray!

Hey ladies just wanted to come by and see how the other October mommies are doing. All is well here, baby is so active I mean gosh. It is always moving which is so fun.
chloe_a~~ how are you? I am due on the 27th of October also. We will be going in for our gender sacn on the 8th of June. I had actually made an apt with a ultrasound imaging place in Arlington just for a gender scan for next friday. They had me fax a prenatal care consent (to make sure that I am seeing a doctor) to my OB. I called and the doc actually said that the 3d & 4d sonos were not good for the baby because they use something that has heat or something and thats not good for the baby. So that cancels that. I guess I have no choice but to wait until the 8th of June.
Jaqi~~ hey how are you? how are things with the twins? I hope that all is well. You dont have long to go before you find out what they are do you. Thats good at least you can start to shopp. Something that I can not wait to do. Well let us know when you do find out.
